The Dark Knight trilogy is not divisive and it only let down a very small portion of fans. The movies in The Dark Knight trilogy are considered some of the best superhero movies, and one of the best trilogies of all time. The Dark Knight has even been considered one of the best movies of all time. Okay you don't like it but that doesn't change the opinion of the masses. Also consider this, if they were considered, as you put it "divisive at best" would S.H. Figuarts make a figure on an almost 10 year old movie?
JigglyChocolateman At least it has Great Realism, Great Music, Great Villains, Great Interesting Character Arc & The Drama of the trilogy is so Great that I think the action scenes didn't matter in my opinion. (The Art Design is also great in my opinion.)
+Justin AlztraZ that's what the ruler is for. What if I compare him to something you don't have? It would be useless then. With the ruler, you can compare it to any figure.
If they gave us an unmasked Bruce Wayne head, it would be more satisfying but that's ok. This is probably the best looking 6"-7" line Batman on the market. A must buy for Nolan trilogy fans like me. Thank you for your super fast review. Thumbs up as always!
WAIT *WHAT* ?! Not a fan of the Dark Knight franchise? Dude, daaaaaaang.. DANG. I CAN'T believe you don't like those movies, oh well. I can tell you though, they definitely didn't let down fans lol.
Pakman502 Why do you have to read the comic? Its Nolan's version of Batman, not Frank Miller's or any other author or director. Comic book characters have different versions spread out on different mediums making them be fresh for years. Im glad this exists and it promotes creative freedom.
Hey man, I recently got into import figures this year and I just wanted to say you are definitely my favorite reviewer. You're quick and to the point while covering every base, and you don't tip-toe around the problems or things you dislike in figures, which is good because I see a lot of other reviews by big guys who just praise figures, but then I watch your review and you point out a lot of flaws the other guys don't talk about. Thanks for your work!
Ok, this is a figure review. Don't bash for personal taste and take the comment thread off to an extreme. It's a solid figure and a great review as always. He has clearly stated these are his personal opinions and everyone is entitled to their own. I'm a Nolan/Bale fan myself but when you click this vid, you should be about the figure and review- which is solid.
Thanks for another amazing review. Big fan of the Nolan trilogy myself, so I was already considering getting this figure, now I'm even more inclined to do so.
Anthony has a right to his own opinion . If he is not a fan of the Nolan Batman films , thats ok. Everyone has their own thoughts and ideas. No need to get all worked up if someone doesnt like something .
I mean, it's fine if he doesn't like the movies, and I can respect that, but he's acting like his opinion is also held by the majority when it's quite the opposite. Most people that saw the Nolan Batman movies (at least the first two) loved or at least liked them. That's why the films hold overwhemingly positive ratings across the board on nearly every review website, from both critics and fans. Saying the films were "divisive" is just flatout wrong.
I hate how easily my shoulder pads fall off, otherwise this would be one of my favorite batman figures. Well, it still is, but I also don't have many. Great review.
90% comments flaming Anthony's personal preferences rather than the actual figure. YT in a nutshell. Great review Anthony, and love how you're handling the hate. You remind me of Saitama from OPM with how you just don't give a shit - class act. Continue doing what you love man!
Nice review. I was just wondering if you could review the "Fondjoy dark knight trilogy Batman". It comes with decent amount of accessories is much much cheaper than the SH figure arts but it is a little bigger than 7 inches tall. Fondjoy says 1/9th scale but it's not 8 inches tall generally.
Wow, great review! I pre-ordered mine from HobbyLinkJapan. I hope it goes through soon! Crazy you've had yours a week or more now. Do reviewers such as yourself get earlier shipments?
Thank you for pointing out that this figure isn't the most articulated BUT that it does suit the fighting style he used which was a lot of counter attack forearm scrapes and knees in additions to straight kicks, which this figure can do straight out. I do like the figure much better than their Injustice release. I think this is a good step in the right direction, even though I also have a love/hate relationship with cloth capes. Great review good sir.
Anyone know if this figure fits on the MAFEX Batpod properly? A LOT of 1/12 scale figures don't, probably most. It requires a specific length from the knee to the bottom of the foot and just the right amount of distance between the legs at the hip. I have a Bandai Scout Trooper model kit on it right now. That figure fits perfectly.
@@AnthonysCustoms voice role is on point. the way he carried himself as Batman playing the role was his match some people got it and some people don’t. He was dedicated to that role. That’s what made him a great fit.
Anthony thank you soooooo much for saying you don't care for the Nolan trilogy. Nowadays they are praised like a godsend to the point of it being annoying. I'm just glad you didn't just kiss up to the Nolan series like everyone else and spoke your mind. Thanks for your honesty.
The left part of the cape that attaches to the body on your figure (And also mine) looked like it didn't fit perfectly (Or maybe broken), but other reviews have them perfectly attached. Do you know what's wrong with it?

if anyone is trying to decide between mafex 2.0 and this one, i say go with figuarts. The mafex 2.0 is good but as always with mafex you are always rolling the dice with QC problems (like breakages etc), with figuarts you know youll get a quality product, and their QC is leagues better than mafex, but that's my take on it. If youre lucky enough to get a good mafex 2.0 one though, i feel like i like that one aesthetically a bit more. I only have the 1.0 mafex one and it's okay (although the knee broke right outta box, thanks mafex, i super glued it back on so one knee doesnt have have double jointed bend just a 90 degree), but i still really like it, i have this figuarts one on PO and im sure i'll be happy with it too.
Incoming long post, but since you do read comments, it never feels like typing for nothing: While I do like the first two Nolan movies (2nd of them being the best BY FAR), I completely understand your feelings about Bale's Batman: he's never the best thing about the movies, the action choreography sucks balls (it's even worse than Keaton, and his suit was more restrictive), the voice is kinda hilarious and for such a "grounded Batman", his detective skills are on par with the rest of the cinematic batmen. The suit is....acceptable but I never liked the cowl and how it suits him. With all that out of the way: this figure is AWESOME!! It really impressed me and it makes me look forward to the new SHF Darth Vader with cloth cape. I'm really tempted to actually buy Baleman cause the movie was great and the figure is cool despite not liking him in the movie. That's a sign of a very good product.
youd be surprised how many people cant accept any of the flaws of those movies just because, "it's the best comic franchise ever." here's hoping vader is good.
