I believe Unay is doing right by Duran and he knows it. Colombian players are not generally not well developed in the mental aspect of the game and they tend to succumb in the most difficult moments - in and off the pitch. Falcao and Luis Diaz are the only two exceptions. Hope Emery helps Duran be the next one

I don't sense any loyalty in this guy and I don't like his attitude. I hope Aston Villa can move him on for a decent transfer fee in either the January transfer window or next Summer. I would prefer a striker who fits better into Unai Emery's coaching style and who is more of a team player. I don't like hearing about a "fiery" combative relationship with our manager. I would prefer we get another forward who has enough respect for Unai's achievements to follow his advice without questioning his instructions, who generates more dressing room harmony and less friction or animosity within the team. UTV! 💜💙

You cannot ever expect 100% loyalty from any player, unless you're some sort of Totti, Messi, De Jong or something like that. I rather a player that's honest about how he feels at the club and is not sugarcoating every interview. He wants all the minutes possible the same way you would want them if you were his age and playing for a professional club, the difference is he won't hide it, he is loud and his attitude shows whenever he gets frustrated about being benched. But isn't that what we want on our players?? Hunger, passion, willing to prove that they belong in the starters. If we let him go it'll be a big loss because this guy has mad potential, if we manage to keep him a bit longer he can help achieve big things. Plus, seems like Unai found the way to keep his emotions in control and that is showing in his performances. I must differ with you, I personally love this guy's attitude, "loyal" or not he plays like he wants to be Villa's Park hero. Jack always seemed loyal but just like any player that's offer a deal from a big club, he left us in a heartbeat, loyalty in football is extremely rare, the same way as it's rare to find a genuine player like Duran who isn't putting on a disguise everytime he's being asked how he feels at the club.

@@theazorianheist6608 Nobody suggested "100%" player loyalty. I said I don't sense "any" loyalty. As in, the first opportunity to earn more elsewhere, I bet anything this guy will be off. I just want the transfer to be on Aston Villa's terms, so we can get a decent transfer fee in return.

Wouldn’t you change jobs if someone else offered you more money to do the same thing?

@@TimLemonnlet him go lol this guy worries much more of the feelings and especially being judgemental of his character..Meanwhile the other side with Duran is really fighting for a spot to shine as the best striker there is in europe . I hate these type of ppl who are just to crystal.

@@TimLemonn It depends on the personal motivations for each player in question. Why do certain footballers jump at the chance to play in the Saudi Pro League for higher wages, while other players prefer to instead playing in European clubs? I view Duran as one of the former types of player, who will go wherever he can get a bigger bag of cash, regardless of any other factors. Each football club he plays at on the way to chasing the bigger bag, is just a stepping stone for his own selfish greed. If that's the characteristic you admire in a football player, so be it.

Young and stupid......missed a sitter aganst Bournemouth then lost his man in the box. Dont talk to me about him until he has put in a consistent shift accross the season......

4 match winning goals already, early in the season more than make up for his being "young and stupid". He also has something missing from most modern footballers, character.
