The car was originally built by Andrew Brown Motorsport in Daventry. I was the co-driver to both Rod Menzies and Alan Peacock. We had a number of top 10 BTRDA results and several 2nd place finishes on our local Sort Out Stages rally. It never went to Belgium and was indeed let go by Peacocks of Balham to M-Sport. The registration PRC was Rod's company PRC Colour Processing. I have good memories of co-driving in that car. I probably have some in build photos hidden in a draw somewhere.
Marks a natural in front of the camera I loved hearing the stories about the car. Stunning cossie and fair play for using it and driving it through the water...lol legend! 10:28 hahaha nice Escort mag
Marks got a few cars that have been parked in that bit of water. He's got a mk1 astra gte that's all over the Internet and another standard escort as well
Hi Adam, mate, this is right up there, what a brilliant, brilliant car, and the guy is fantastic to listen to. He knows that car, history everything. And.... it's not a garage queen but used and enjoyed. Excellent video. Cheers, Alex.
At the time it was a 34mm restriction for Group A and 36mm for Group B - My father was a scrutineer in them days and used to fit the seals - he found one on a GT4 Celica once that worked like a camera aperture ! That car brings me back - Best livery was James Cullen in the Yorkie sponsored Cossie Escort !! Great video - Great Memories!
Stunning build, legend of a car, crazy good history. Perfect owner for it... still uses it hard and appreciates everything about it. Our Scottish private farm tracks kick arse eh?
When Colin Allister and Jimmy McCrea used to be based in Lanark you used to see them blasting up and down the private Ravenstruther to Lanark road in rally prepped Escorts,Sierra’s all the time , seeing that just brought back the memories for me
I was luckie enough to be a passenger in a group A escort many years ago probably 15 years ago at a trackday and i had a smile on my face like you 👌 I just remember the rawness off it all , don’t build em like that anymore , great video 🙏
Brill car, great to hear it's history.Mark, the owner come's across as a genuine passionate bloke, his knowledge and love for the car,and the fact that he own's a rally legend that he followed in the forests as a young man.I'm looking forward to seeing this car now at the NEC.Great video Adam!!!!!!!
Such a cool car! That's a great vid and nice interview. I must admit, as a Dutchman, this Scottish accent tested my understanding of the English language! 😆

Fantastic, my good mate Roy had a white motorsport escort cosworth that ran those wheels that you have as your spare wheel in white too, gutted as most of us have been priced out of the Cosworth market now that sold at the wrong point. My other friend had a mallard green gartrac mk4 escort rwd and essentially a rs turbo to the eye that ran 380bhp YB, all of our little group of friends had cosworths and so on, great memories and fun on the roads, fixing them, tuning them and so on. Love these old Ford uploads, owner seems a really nice guy too.
Amazing history... is Mark just the biggest car geek? Yes he is. Talk about passion for cars and a canny driver 👍👌 Marks Farm is MASSIVE with them back roads 😂😉
Myself being born in 83' in 🇺🇸 into a FORD family. I had a Cosworth Repsol Rally RC Car and was hooked. Always dreamed of having one, if I won the lotto it would be my 1st purchase. But sadly these days I'd be happy with just seeing and hearing one in person. Still waiting in the 🇺🇸 for that day to come 😪 🤞🤞🏁
Wow !!! Amazing car what a top fella for allowing you to share this with us all ...me and my son follow you and this has by far been the best video shared

What an excellent car, Brings a tear to my eye to think that in a few years you will never get the noise of a straight cut gearbox, anti lag turbos and exhaust notes....all going to be replaced by electric motors....sad times ahead.
