Take it from somebody who is self taught outside of school, without your math teacher at least exposing you to the material, this likely wouldn't be as easy to follow. Videos like this work best as a supplement to other resources rather than a replacement. In my case, in place of a teacher and a formal education, I need to consult multiple resources on the same subject to ensure I have a proper grasp of it and there are no gaps in my knowledge. I do agree that it's harder for some people to learn having a teacher explain something to them. My problem in a school setting was many teachers simply tell you how math works, but not why it works. By learning the why, I can gain a much more intuitive understanding, rather than just memorizing seemingly arbitrary facts and concepts.
