Dimash's fans come from all over the world, if someone offends you a little, be patient, this is a test 😅
Thanks for reaction for our beloved DIMASH
For us, he is not just an idol but also a good role model, a good human being, a very good attitude, a perfectionist.
Try watching other Dimash videos, maybe at the "The Singer 2017" event in China
Believe me, I didn't even like that type of music, but when Dimash sang, I fell in love with all the genres he sang.
    Greeting from Indonesian Dears 🇮🇩🙏🏻🥰

IMHO, I think he should listen to the more current things which may appeal to him more. He can, and probably will, go back to the earlier songs that people repeatedly suggest after he gets a better taste of how diverse Dimash is.

I agree that, while Dimash has a great fanbase, some Dears can be ridiculously defensive. To me, Dimash's voice stands on its own and doesn't need people to continuously insist he's the best in the world and the embodiment of perfection. I can't believe that Dimash would appreciate the fanatical aspect of some of his fans. I like how you tell it like you see it. Keep it up.

@@SCVocalStudentReacts The best voice. It’s just marketing. Just like actors get presented as Academy Award winner so and so…
Michael Phelps is also not some random good swimmer. Usain Bolt not some random runner.
There are millions of artists someone could listen to instead of Dimash. Many have wonderful songs and good voices.
And Dimash’s music is not mainstream and just a great voice is not a good reason for most people to choose a singer out of millions.
But the BEST label makes people maybe inclined to check for themselves, if this could really be true. 🤷‍♀️

@@EllaSilentDragonPerhaps I’m misunderstanding your comment? Do you mean Dimash has a big fanbase because of marketing or that other singers are labeled as great because of marketing? I live in the U.S. and most people here have never heard of Dimash. I only heard of him through RUclips. I see videos all the time of people listing Taylor Swift as one of the best singers in the world. Now *that’s* marketing. Personally, I own around roughly 12,000 individual songs (I’m not young and I’m a music fanatic). Since first hearing Dimash, I barely listen to any of them any more. To me, at least, he is the best singer.

A brief note about this Dimash performance. In the fall of 2021, China had opened up and Dimash was flying around China doing guest performances after 2 years apart from his Chinese Dears. He was filmed in his Beijing studio in China during the Japanese quarantine for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. Dimash had been invited to perform for the Tokyo Jazz Festival for the second year in a row for an online concert in Nov 2021. He decided to sing the Japanese original version "Ikanaide" (Don't Go) in honor of (the composer) Koji Tamaki's 30th anniversary in the music industry. Koji is also the original singer of "Ikanaide" which preceded "Autumn Strong" which was rewritten in Mandarin and used for the theme song of a Japanese/Chinese television docudrama a year or two later.
Dimash has been singing "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn) the Mandarin song (different meaning from Ikanaide) using the same melody since 2017 when he appeared as a competitor on the I Am Singer competition for professional singers. He sings the Mandarin song at every one of his solo concerts as his Chinese Dears (and everyone else) adore his Chinese version of the song. Dimash was awarded the "Golden Melody" Award in Hong Kong in 2017 for "Best Foreign Singer" category for his version of "Autumn Strong" which he always sings in Mandarin although since 2021 he has added parts in Japanese for his Japanese Dears. He now asks his audience of Dears which song they wish to hear, Chinese or Japanese, then he switches back and forth if he hears both being requested.
Although all are beautiful, one of my favorite versions of Autumn Strong was sung at his Arnau concert in Kiev Ukraine in 2020. m.ruclips.net/video/437IEsDIZfE/видео.html

No, Mister Very Full of Yourself, this is not based on a Chinese song. Dimash’s performance aside, if you are going to be so snarky to your audience, at least educate yourself. The Chinese song was Jackie Cheung’s lyric re-write of THIS song. The original was written years ago by Koji Tamaki, a Japanese composer and singer.

I think one of the biggest problems that those of us face in the United States is the fact that the music industry destroys a lot of artists. People are sick of seeing their favorite artists destroyed, and yes... at times eliminated. Between the music industry here and the press, it can be horrible. We're protective of Dimash, because we don't want to see him destroyed in any way. Not that you, as an individual can destroy him, but there are a lot of people online who would run with it if they could. It's a fine line. Of course, you're entitled to your opinion on what you hear, but if you're being respectful with your opinions, it shouldn't matter.

Josh, I loved your reaction! Please, pay no attention to the rude criticisms. It probably won't surprise you that you're not the only one who has experienced that. I agree with you and glad you stood your ground. Sometimes I think most of those comments come from people who do not wish Dimash well. I've watched quite a few really good reactors who simply stop reacting to him probably because they don't want to deal with the nasty ones. Who can blame them? Problem is, they quit before they get to his music that they'd probably truly love and that's a shame. So I say, thank you and hang in there baby because there's much more to come!😉

Lol😅 yes some Dears will take any comments or skipping of any part of performance as a personal insult, don't worry you'll get used to it. Dimash is so loved not just for his vouce but for who he is and what he embodies, however he would be the last person to appreciate idol worship. I am glad you have enjoyed his work so far but there is so much more. Pick a genre and he can sing it, pick a style and he has done it, from opera to rap, ballad to jazz. He is The Voicebender Supreme!! You might find soon you will be just as protective of Dimash as all the Dears are lol. Thank you for your honest reactions. I would recommend you invest in some headphones though, it will enhance your listening pleasure. UKDear 💜

When people tell him what they don’t like it’s a gift. He does reactions for others not for himself. And there will always be people that like something and others that don’t. People taking some time to complain are sources of information.
But if many people say the same thing, anyone trying to get viewers should listen and think about if something that people don’t like is really that important to hold on to. 🤷‍♀️
Maybe it is. But if it isn’t why not change it?
If he‘d rather be ghosted than get honest opinions. (Like the one he himself deals out) Well, can’t be helped. 👻😅

Also for many obvious reasons watching his performances becomes addictive because its always uplifting and providing peace of mind.
Anyway, I wouldn't consider us "crazy", just the opposite seems to be true. We are here with Dimash to try to make the World better place for all, which is totally normal.

This version "Ikanaide" (行かないで) ) is the original, from 1989, composed by Koji Tamaki (famous Japanese singer, born in 1958) with lyrics by Goro Matsui. The version "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn), sung in Chinese, uses the same song, but has another lyrics (Yaqui Cheung, from 1993) and another theme: It talks about the Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamagushi, very dear to the Chinese, who was deported when they discovered her Japanese origin (his real name was Li Xiang Lan and we're talking about World War II, where Japan was China's enemy) and never returned to China. In the original version, the lyrics are more intimate, sentimental and more recognized worldwide. It means: "Please don't go!". I mentioned this before, but you can easily improve the listening experience of your videos without additional cost. It sounds like you are using the same microphone to pick up the audio for the music you are reacting to, so it sounds muffled and less appealing than it could be. You can use the direct audio with much more pleasing results. Again, if you need help with that, just let me know.

Hi Josh. I may sometimes not like a reaction but I respect an honest reaction. I don’t like fake reactions that just appease a fan base. That being said, I like your reaction here. I’ve discovered, as you have, that sometimes Dimash’s fan go way overboard. (And I thought Taylor Swift and K-Pop fans held that ‘honor’).😉Dimash himself has said he doesn’t want people to ‘idolize’ him but obviously, it still happens. I watch a lot of reactors and it seems to me that commenters are not always careful in how they word things - in fact, many are downright rude. Sometimes I think it’s partly the result of cultural differences and sometimes I think it’s because people don’t take into consideration how negatively😡 their comments come across. I’ve even gotten rude reactions to some fairly mild things I’ve said from other commenters.🤷‍♀️ So, hang in there. From what I’ve seen, it’s fairly common in most fanbases, even if it’s not always what you’d hope for. I was happy you commented on his technique - he uses his hands and whole body, actually, to tell the story and is an amazing performer. I’m sure someone already commented that this was performed in studio due to the COVID-19 restrictions at the time. I think it’s a stunning performance, one of my favorites, but I also like his Singer 2017 performance. I made some suggestions on what you might react to in the future on your last Dimash video. Anyway, good, honest reaction. I enjoyed it very much.
