Linford Otieno So true, Have you listened to some of his recent stuff? I was a bit worried for a while because his sound had become diluted from the original dark, urban and edgy beats he created in the 90s. But check out his recent stuff for Keri Hilson, Monica and of course Justin Timberlake.
I love Keri Hilsons "Beautiful Mistake" it just pissed me off that Keri's good RnB stuff doesn't chart I think its her management.

Linford Otieno Yeah its not really recent but its from Keri's Last Album and their are several tracks on their. The album came out like 2012 so its been 4 years. But their are some good tracks on their that didn't chart its a shame. When Keri does her thing with the RnB she is good. That Pop BS they have her releasing is rubbish.
Linford Otieno I remember the old days when everybody was cussing Justin for being the fake Usher. But today Justin releases more authentic and challenging music in the Urban genre than Usher. He has a great rapport with Timbaland and I have to respect him for that. But his music videos are dry man.
You have a Timbaland beat and you ain't got the vision that all the Timbaland partnerships had regarding the visuals from Aaliyah to Missy and the whole crew. The music video was the icing on the cake.

Even if this kind of music can be done again, the one missing thing that made it magical was how we got to listen to it. You just couldnt stream it anytime you want to, you had to wait for a radio slot or TV music show to hear it, and when you finally saved enough to buy the album it was a whole adventure finding it in a music store.
