My favorite is welding padeyes and connection points on the outside of the pipe in degrees. Take the circumference/360 to give you a measurement in degrees to find the exact location to the print. Kinda fun.

Ive welded those 6’-10” diameter size pipes. Had to lay on a diving board with a Fronius welder, trigger lock on. 20-30 minutes for a single pass. It took 3 passes on the inside. By the time your done your gloves are wrinkled through the heat shield over the gloves. Triple inspection visual, Dye pen then X-Ray inspection.Then the outside is welded, another visual inspection followed up with dye-pen and X-ray and then shipped out.

Soule but that video clip isn’t even relevant, it’s literally from over 10 years ago. The shop doesn’t even look like that anymore. Try being original and get your own material, stop sniping everyone else’s.

John H I’m guessing he can’t weld either. You should use your own work vids if your putting videos like this together. Maybe then you can narrate what is being done. This work is no joke. Don’t take credit if you won’t put a hard hat and boots on and go to a job site.

Music is easier than narrating
You don't want explanation from these people. They don't know what they are talking about, its all stolen footage and coupled with terrible narration that isn't even accurate... Dont take anything they say serious or as fact because if you do and you repeat it in the presence of somebody who actually knows, you're gonna get made fun of. These people have no idea what they are talking about.

Sub arc is not skilled welders they are button pushers.
It’s still gets 100% X-Ray on the welds and you can get lack of penetration and inclusions if the joint is not set up correctly. I’ve inspected miles of pipe. I’ve seen joints fail completely even though they look great visually.
They always ruin a great video with crazy music. Why not just say what's going on?
