  • A quick cinematic sequence of an overland trip taken by Genesis Overland. We explored the forest trails of Ouachita National Forest and landed a campsite on Holly Mountain overlooking a scenic portion of Broken Bow Reservoir.

    Epic guys! Think a 2wd grand cherokee with all terrains could make it up there?

      Thanks for the kind words!
      Yes, very easily. Our experience is that the entire Oklahoma side of the Ouachitas is very accommodating to all types of rigs.
      Enjoy exploring!

    We found one of your stickers on a trail in the broken bow area on our kayak trip this last summer. Not sure if you dropped it or if someone else did. It was a bit muddy and nasty but still recognizable. Nice video.

      We often hand our stickers out to other adventurers we cross paths with and definitely try to practice "Leave no Trace"; however in this case we are glad you found it! Thanks for stopping by, watching the video and leaving a comment!

      @@CalvaryOverland it looked like it had been stuck to something and fell off. There was no protective backing on it. I figured someone just lost it and had no idea where. 😊

    I'm new to Oklahoma and I have been itching to find some trails that I can get my feet wet and try and adventure some cool areas and start my overland adventures. Any chance to know where about this area is at?

      @CalvaryOverland  2 года назад

      Hey John!
      This is just north of Broken bow, in the Ouachita Forest. If you use Gaia GPS it'll be super simple to find all sorts of trails to satisfy the need for adventure!

      In our adventure planning we mostly use the Gaia layer called "MVUM". If you add that to your Gaia app, and look north of Hotchatown, you will be surprised at all the trails you can explore!

    Could you share a Gaia map of that camp spot?

    • @CalvaryOverland
      @CalvaryOverland  2 года назад +2

      Hey Chris!
      That camp spot is called Holly Mt. Though recently the land owners nearby have been expanding their driveway and most of the time cannot be accessed due to construction.

    I liked your attempt but the cameras you used were horrible. Mostly from the drone. Sorry
    But just the truth.
