to butcher him was their command

All the angels could not bear to see
In Karbala this calamity
Slowly circled by the enemies
Neither on the horse nor the ground
Laying on arrows making no sound
Zainab screaming watching from a mound
as his final breath is nearing
on the ground his body searing
All imam hussain is hearing
those surrounding him are jeering
this lonely man is left for dead
someone comes along and kicks his head
Someone throws a spear at his neck

shimr takes a knife that is blunt
fatima holds her broken son
To his lord he finally returns
Skies and earth wept for you on that very day
all alone covered in arrows as you lay
enemies circled you like a piece of prey
on your chest shimr sat as he cut away
angels wept as they watched every strike with pain
all around echoed the cries of ya hussain
