Thank you for talking about Tintin, and in particular, the underrated Ellipse/Nelvana adaptation of the books. The jokes, and the delivery work far better in the books, imo. However, I think the Belvision adaptations of Tintin work better in terms of bringing forth the comedy, and while some of their episodes would drift so far off from the books to a point of being completely ridiculous and unlike anything Herge would come up with, I think the studio's cinematic adaptation of "Temple of the Sun" works brilliantly in bringing 7 Crystal Balls and Prisoners of the Sun to the screen ,while also maintaining the "heart" and the humor of those adventures. Yes, I've seen several of the episodes from this series, and I have to say it looks deceptively simple. So many adaptations make changes, but these are so close that you'd almost think they just took panels from the original comics and did in-betweens for the motion.
did you also know that Hergé also have cameo like Stan Lee in the cartoon and comics, i did like that to read and watch on the tv and i did like the also did by the movie. i found really genius that Hergé make the comics. because he never travel the world and still good capture the show. it was stold in special dvd collection.
Yeah, no one talks about the 90s Tintin, and I feel it's the closest in accuracy to the comics. Personally grew up with "The Calculus Affair," so parts of this video was nostalgic to me. Although, the less accurate take before Nelvana's take is probably a lot more obscure.

I used to watch the show all the time❤
Classic Animation...👌... So much nostalgia... You've earned yourself a sub...👍
you're too kind. thank you. means alot.
Great stuff! Are you familiar with the 'Belvision' Tintin cartoons?
No what are these?
In the late 1950's the Belvision animation company created a series of Tintin cartoons. If you type in 'Herges Adventures of Tintin The Star of Mystery . Full Cartoon' into youtube you'll find their version of 'The Shooting Star'. Also look for 'Herge's adventures of Tintin' on Wikipedia for more information. I remember them being serialized on kids TV when I was a kid in the 70's. @@motioninart
Hi! Back in the late 1950's the Belvision company created some Tintin cartoon adaptations that were then serialised in 5 minute episodes on TV. I remember watching them on TV when I was a kid in the 70's. There's some more info about them online and some episodes are available here on RUclips. I think you'd enjoy them. @@motioninart
Look for Herge's adventures of Tintin The Star of Mystery to see their version of the shooting star.
Also The Secret of the Unicorn
It's incredible how little they changed from the comics to the TV show. I seriously thought Herge himself wrote and animated it
A true faithful adaptation
The cartoons are the ONLY part I remember. And I will love them forever
Same
My dad owns a couple tin tin comic books and I remember really liking them as a little kid
I love this series, watch it every other year
Loved these as a kid bit young to fully appreciate at the time
Still hold up today
brillant excellent points and eulogy.
Hardly forgotten!!
This show was so good! I love Tintin sm
I wish they would just make a season 4 of this great show... :(
Me too :(
With what content? They've covered every story...
Loves the cartoons of tintin I have the box set and loved the books since a very young age never get tried of tintin
I’m jealous you have the box set
You should make a video about the new tintin game that coming out cigars of the pharaoh its based almost exactly of the comic
No freaking way il put that on my wishlist
The cartoons are the only part of tintin i've actually seen
Wait till you see the first cartoons they made
@@motioninart Was it the Crabs with a Golden Claws in Stop motion?
In Czech Republic it is not forgotten. Here we love the series
Of all the ways to 'introduce me' to this...
It was 'teesside tintin' dub.
Hahahaha so good
The series was on Netflix for a brief time when I was a kid. I think… 😅 anywho I loved it and the CGI Movie from 2011 or 12(idk it’s been a while) was great!
Netflix needs to bring it back
5:03 Holy shit, Half-Life used that same sound effect for when you break something made of metal. I guess Nelvana and Valve pulled from the same SFX library.
One of my favourite tv series of all time :D
Favourite episode?
@@motioninart flight 714 :)
Yes, I've seen several of the episodes from this series, and I have to say it looks deceptively simple. So many adaptations make changes, but these are so close that you'd almost think they just took panels from the original comics and did in-betweens for the motion.
Yeah it looks incredibly uncanny to the comics, which is why I love it so much
I remember watching Tintin on Nickelodeon back in the 90's.
You and me both!
The best animated series with/ emotional/character development/mystery/anxiety/cleverness/SNOWY 😍
Such a masterpiece early 2000's❤
🥰🥰🥰🥰
There was also a cartoon movie. It was "the crab with the Golden claws"
Can't count how many times I watched this cartoon.
So good hey
did you also know that Hergé also have cameo like Stan Lee in the cartoon and comics, i did like that to read and watch on the tv and i did like the also did by the movie. i found really genius that Hergé make the comics. because he never travel the world and still good capture the show. it was stold in special dvd collection.
Really? Are the cameos in the cartoon?
I've made hours worth of Tintin Abridged!
Yeah, no one talks about the 90s Tintin, and I feel it's the closest in accuracy to the comics. Personally grew up with "The Calculus Affair," so parts of this video was nostalgic to me. Although, the less accurate take before Nelvana's take is probably a lot more obscure.
Which take was that? The one before Nelvana?
They got rid of the only way i knew how to watch it on youtube probably got copyright claimed. I freaking loved this series i watched it back to back twice
Milou is named Snowy in the English version? How strange it feels. And the duo detectives Dupont's are named Thompson. Funny but it feels wrong.
Pretty much grew up on this cartoon. 😊❤
Crew up!
