Honestly I applaud you for making this video and for being so honest in it. I am SO disappointed by Rainbow Loom. I don't know who they are trying to appeal to because I'm sure there are some people out there who like the new formulation but I feel like the consensus of the loom community is that we liked the OG formula better. :( Your quote "I'm kinda horrified right now" about the green bands sums up my thoughts about these changes. I also agree with you about the quality of the "bucket" bands being lesser too - I feel like the treasure box bands aren't that *bad* but they're a step down from old bands too. As a longtime loomer, I'm so disappointed some of my favorite colors are just plain gone now. I miss the regular opaque pastels (the mixed opaque hasn't been available for years now and I'm afraid they're phasing out the 600-pack opaque pastels) and I loved the light beige color before it was semi-translucent and a weird texture. Sorry for the rant haha, I'm so scared they're going to phase out all the old opaques one by one. Don't know if that's true but I'm so scared of it.

Totally agree on these colors. My biggest hits personally have been pastel yellow, which now looks off white, and tan. I miss tan!

Alexis loved the pretzel in the new shade! If RL Changes the color shade i use the old bands and use every other old one with every other new shade and use in your bracelets. I do this for bracelets for the senior bingo prizes. Good job on the video!

im so conflicted on these because the new ones look more professional to me in creations but the old ones are much better quality (the black ones always break) and have a better texture (i feel like they get stretched out though) because people touch my creations a lot at craft fairs

I found this video trying to find the original opaque red bands and seeing if anyone else was talking about this. I bought the pastel treasure box after not having bought anything for more than 8 years hoping for something similar to the original mixed pastel which I LOVED. The colors aren't the same, not terrible but they're SO slippery and glossy. I'm trying to make an inverted fishtail right now and it's incredibly difficult. I prefer matte vs glossy anyways. I also had 3 white bands that came from that set break when trying to make a snow cone the other day while Angelynn kept saying rbl bands won't break! if you use low quality they will! So is rbl the low quality now? 🤔 It sure seems like it :(
