About Yehuda:
Yehuda Smith (26) is a creative musician and music producer in the range between electronic music and various traditions from the East with an emphasis on the Middle Eastern music. From a very young age, Yehuda absorbed diverse musical styles from his father, who would listen to music from Africa, India, modern rock, soul, rnb, jazz, Middle Eastern music, and more. Yehuda started his musical path at the age of 13 learning guitar with an emphasis on blues styles and a little bit of jazz.
At the age of 17 he heard Mark Eliyahu for the first time in the album "Sands" which had just been released at that time. The deep sounds of the Kamancheh swept him into new worlds and very quickly he began to study Kamancheh with Yagel Harush and in workshops with Mark and Piris Eliyahu where he studied the Persian tradition. At the same time he learned Iraqi music with Yair Dalal. After his army service , Smith returned to his music studies - this time at the “Maqamat Academy” in Safed, where he studied with Elad Levy, Wasim Odeh and Eitan Refua. Over time, Yehuda began to play in different and varied ensembles from all the styles of the East, including - "Ensemble Boaz Regev" (creator and tar player) "Ensemble Galil" of the cellist Liat Saba, "Shahan Orchestra" of the master Eitan refua, "Eliko Bass" and many other projects.
Today Yehuda Smith manages an independent development project that emphasizes improvisation and free expression and its whole essence is a deep dive into the worlds of sound alongside melodies from the East in live music. Yehuda also manages a partnership with Almog Daniel in their joint project "Yericho Project" which emphasizes melodic music

קחו 10 דקות הפסקה הוא פרויקט חינמי בחסות "פרונט צילום" ובהפקתה. מטרת העל של הפרויקט היא חשיפה למוזיקאים ותיעוד איכותי בצורת וידאו ליצירה מקורית. מטרה נוספת (וחשובה לא פחות) היא להעניק כבוד לנוף והטבע הישראלי, לעתיקות, לאתרי המורשת החשובים ולעודד שימור והאדרה שלהם.

קצת על יהודה:
יהודה סמית (26) הוא מוזיקאי יוצר ומפיק מוזיקלי שנע בין המוזיקה האלקטרונית לבין מסורות שונות מהמזרח בדגש על מזרח תיכון. מגיל מאוד צעיר ספג יהודה סגנונות מוזיקליים מגוונים מאביו, שהיה שומע מוזיקה מאפריקה, הודו, רוקנרול מודרני, ג׳אז, מוזיקה מזרח תיכונית ועוד.
את דרכו המוזיקלית התחיל בגיל 13 כשהתחיל ללמוד גיטרה, בדגש על סגנונות הבלוז ומעט מהג׳אז. בגיל 17 שמע לראשונה את מארק אליהו באלבום ״חולות״ שיצא באותה תקופה. הצלילים העמוקים של הקמנצ׳ה סחפו את יהודה לעולמות חדשים ומהר מאוד התחיל ללמוד אצל יגל הרוש. כחלק מתהליך הלמידה השתתף בסדנאות של מארק ופרץ אליהו, שם למד את המסורת הפרסית. במקביל למד מוזיקה עיראקית אצל יאיר דלאל. לאחר השחרור מהצבא חזר ללימודי המוזיקה, הפעם באקדמיית "מקאמאת" שבצפת, שם למד אצל אלעד לוי, וואסים עודה ואיתן רפואה. עם הזמן התחיל יהודה לנגן בהרכבים שונים ומגוונים מכל סגנונות המזרח, ביניהם- ״אנסמבל בועז רגב״ (יוצר ונגן טאר) ״אנסמבל גליל״ של הצ׳לנית ליאת סבא, ״תזמורת שאהאן״ של המאסטר איתן רפואה, ״אליקו באס״ ועוד פרויקטים רבים ומגוונים.
כיום סמית מנהל פרויקט עצמאי בפיתוח ששם דגש על אלתור והבעה חופשית, וכל המהות שלו היא צלילת עומק לעולמות הסאונד לצד צלילים מהמזרח בנגינת לייב. כמו כן מנהל יהודה שותפות עם אלמוג דניאל בפרויקט המשותף שלהם -Yericho Project ששם דגש על מוזיקה מלודית חיה ופועמת יחד בשילוב אלקטרוניקה יצירתית.
