As someone who has always had issues with non-suspension bikes, I can tell you that the single best thing you can do is find a saddle with spring suspension built in. I've tried all kinds of padded saddles, including thick gel, and none of them make a significant difference in comfort for me. But a cheap saddle with coil springs gives a HUGE improvement in comfort. I can go for hours on a bike with no rear suspension with my current sprung saddle. The original saddle, with slightly BETTER padding, was excruciating after only a half hour. After swapping saddles, I no longer wish I had rear suspension. The bike is much simpler, lighter, has more space for accessories and is easier to work on without the added complexity of rear suspension. Suspension forks, on the other hand, are mandatory. There is no analogue to a sprung saddle for the front end, and without front suspension my wrists and elbows can't take the punishment for very long.
Always enjoy watching your informative videos. Had been an e-bike user here in the Philippines since 2019. Wish we had numerous choices as other countries. You keep me informed on current trends. Keep it up, Sir.
Two points to make. One Shimano Altus may be considered on the low end of quality, but notice the large idler pulleys providing chain wrap that only a gear head can dream about. My point is that you can modify the cassette to a very wide gear range which is great for hilly terrain, of course using 'pedal assist' rather than 'throttle only' power management. Secondly, hydraulic disc brakes are not the perfect choice in 'all' situations. Quality mechanical disc brakes are equally capable, less expensive and more user friendly and, in the long run, will be the disc brake of choice when all is said and done.
Just seeing this video after discovering your Yadea factory tour. Wow, I hope the full line up comes soon. The 3 wheel commercial duty bike could replace my little truck for grocery getting and dump runs.
Awesome e-bike, Micah! It's color reminds me of the sea-foam green guitar that Will Farrell's character, Mr. Harold Crick, buys in the film "Stranger Than Fiction." just re-watched this film te other night and found I related well to the lead character who doesn't go or do anything very much. I'm also still still waiting for my own "Miss. Pascal" to show up in my life and bring me my happily ever ever after with true love. God willing she will come along soon. Blessings to you and yours, brother. Be well.
I saw your Video and liked your presentation. Nice colour and it really has a sturdy presence. The price though I don't understand. Without suspension I would have thought around 700 Dollars, so it shocked me when you mentioned the price. OK for me even 700 would be too expensive but that,s another chapter. I hope my English is clear enough for you as I am from the Netherlands so its not my mothertoung. Nice thing to hear you give it away to someone. I guess I live a bit too far away. Greetings, Henny Behrens. 😮
I have never seen a front rake so chunky. I bet you could put a seat on it and have a child ride up front. I think you could mount a second battery on the down tube and double your range. Nice bike and review.
I like the placement of the front basket. I live in Thailand and most of the little motorbikes have a basket, but unfortunately once you put some stuff in it it basically blocks out the headlamp. This one won't have that problem :)
It's an interesting design, step through BMX/cargo bike. Love the front rack, like an old butchers bike. Overall a really good bike for the $. This actually looks like an expensive Euro model.
It has the front rack mounted in the right location _(not_ on the fork/bars!) That's why I clicked. More bikes should have mounting points for a rack on the front of the frame \ steerer tube. _Especially_ commuter bikes
1. Did you try to pedal it? 2. Those appear to be fairly light fat bike tyres - would the wheels be open to tubeless conversion seeing it’s use is primarily for street use?
wow, cool e-bike, imagining how to integrated it to a car. Like the concept of small foot print of single person transportation. I was thinking about getting an e-scooter that can be folded and stored in trunk. An e-bike is much comfortable for sure. Any car accessories you recommend(guessing hang it on car tail is the only option, mount it on top looks like a challenge)?
hey there yeah I see why you liked that ebike! Im 6'4" and it would fit me too - I like those handle bars and that adjustable stem. :) only 500 watts, Id prefer 750, but hey Im also 230 lbs. [more than the ebike] :o 500 will be fine on the streets and the errands it looks good to me & the design of no suspension? I like that too. good to see you doing a review & on something new [to us] and its stylish.
Can you make an updated video on how to make a dual motor ebike. From a junk ebike? Just like your first video. But I want to see where you got the parts from.
As a partially disabled person, does this bike require one to pedal, or can it just run on the electric motor? It looks ideal to get me to the shops and back.
I know it have become a bit of standard in USA, but if you do not need to peddle a bicycle, then it is a e-moped, a e-bike shall just assist you with power when you peddle, I as a Swede do not want to use a e-bike for speed but rather to help when biking up a slope or hill, but I need to say that bike look great and would be interested to have one like that. And do not take what I wrote too serious, I know word can and shall be flexible :D
i think the time did come to stop lithium battery's and starting to go for the safer 18650 LTO battery's to make ebikes batters and ev's me my self doing my searches and want to learn to do 52v from it and i recommend to see you do try to soon because its available now
I have a question about making a battery for an ebike project and I've been struggling a little bit to figure out the best layout for the battery because it is a triangle shape and I was wondering if you could help give some insight to go about it. It is a 18650 13s 11p battery.
"Utility" brings to mind features like "durability", thoughtful design", "Ease of use", but why is it so often that they put dinky 20" wheels on these hard-tail bikes that limit their utility and shock absorption? Simple physics points out that larger diameter wheels transfer less shock to the rider and thus makes it more utilitarian. I think I'll start an international campaign. 😉
It depends on the internal quality of the plastic gears and metal gears inside the motorized hub if it is NOT a direct-drive motor. A larger diameter wheel puts more stress on those tiny gears inside the hub.
Hi Just subscribed to your channel looking good!! Just wondering if you have a video to refer to on my question. I am considering converting my bike, a 12 speed derailer I think, haven't used it in years so can't remember how many cogs there are, to a rear wheel motor with thumb throttle. Are there any issues with drag if not using the motor on the flat/downhill?
Is there a way I can over volt my 36 volt e bike to a 46 volt? Do u make boost battery’s and wire harness for that?im trying to to get my 21 mph bike up to 30 mph
I like the look of the new display, but I don't like the contrast. That is always the problem with actual graphical-LCD versus "calculator" LCD displays. Really monochrome displays. I'm going to say something really weird, and I fully expect a lot of backlash over it: I kind of want to see an eInk display for all the stuff but speed. I mean, think about it. The speed can be a simple monochrome display. That will update instantly. But all the other stuff, you don't really need it to update every single millisecond. I'm not looking at the screen every second anyway, I'm riding the bike.
This bike has a very rugged look to it, and I like how even the front "basket" doesn't look flimsy.
Except the disc brakes have such small discs. I'd like those disc brakes to have more metal to help dissipate heat into the air.

What about suspension post, or, combination of both?
Yadea is a high-quality electric motorcycle manufacturer so not surprised their e-bikes are this high-quality.
I was very nervous that you were going to cut more off the top.
Moar step-through frames!
Again came for the unboxing. Stayed for the rest of the video. Nice bike, great video.
Bless you for gifting ebikes! I'm fortunate that my folks kind of funded mine. But that's wonderful of you ❤
That bike has a lot going on. I love your review videos - detailed descriptions, great camerawork and fun locations.
Down to earth and realistic reviews! Keep up the good work! I dig the bike by the way.
First?
That's a super cute bike!
But gray? Looks green! (Fight me!)
“Perineum punch" lol
Almost!
Its blue

i love how you help others like me. thank you brother, my name is Jose, oh and the video you mentioned of you at the factory was long but i liked it
Giggling. Love the strip tease of the screen. I like the set up on that bike especially the headlight location.
Ride it your way! Your style, the fresh maker! im loving it! Just do it!

That e-bike has a lot of good features and I like the colors.
I wish that ALL major ebike brands would standardize to several battery pack designs.
Just seeing this video after discovering your Yadea factory tour. Wow, I hope the full line up comes soon. The 3 wheel commercial duty bike could replace my little truck for grocery getting and dump runs.
Love the reviews and value you offer to us! Thank you

Congratulations Mike and this it can handle more capacity

😮
Great looking , great built quality. Wish they shipped to the UK
Great job on the video Micah! Thanks for making it.
I like the air pump you used. I'm going to try and find one that small to carry with me.
Great channel! That’s a sweet Ebike. I like the refreshing look, and stock essentials.
Damn, that bike is better than my Radrunner +. Especially the lighting above the basket, on the Radrunner it's just a mess.
Greetings from Belgium.
The drone shots are terrific
Big fan of Yadea, they have sooooooooooooooooooo mannnnnnnny coooolllllllll models!
I have never seen a front rake so chunky. I bet you could put a seat on it and have a child ride up front. I think you could mount a second battery on the down tube and double your range. Nice bike and review.
@EbikeSchool is it possible to replace the seatpost with a suspension one, and still get to the battery?
It looks sturdy and very cool!
I like the placement of the front basket. I live in Thailand and most of the little motorbikes have a basket, but unfortunately once you put some stuff in it it basically blocks out the headlamp. This one won't have that problem :)
Nice bike, has a bit of a Radrunner Plus vibes, to bad they do not seem to sell it in Europe.
I love that you do giveaways. Cheers. TY
Love that color orange on that bike❤👍🏿
The one thing I like about this bike is how sturdy that rear rack looks
I could use this to start a local delivery business.
You almost make it sound like a little kid when he goes to the Christmas tree in the morning 🌲
YADEA is a top brand of e-bike in China, nice job~
It's an interesting design, step through BMX/cargo bike. Love the front rack, like an old butchers bike. Overall a really good bike for the $.

Doof: "An ebicycle?"
Puts fedora hat on top of handlebar
Doof: "Perry the Ebicycle!"😁
i do like the rack and rear half circle form.
Sick bike! I'm wondering if you can do a video on suspension seat post videos?
As a bikestore-owner i still have to find thé first good chinese e-bike WITH good afterservice.
What a great looking e bike!
How about a suspension seat post AND a sprung saddle?
Will you try the DJI DIY electric bike thingy?
Love your informational videos!
i like the Tube frame
1. Did you try to pedal it?
2. Those appear to be fairly light fat bike tyres - would the wheels be open to tubeless conversion seeing it’s use is primarily for street use?
Nice bike, like the color combo

A good ebike thanks for sharing this with us 👍😎👍

Hey, I refer to you as "nicolas cage of ebikes". hahahahaha Keep going with the good job!
Thanks, I’ll take it!
U didn't say how u like the seats? When I ride a bike, that seat is on my top list for comfort. 😉

can you try keso k350X V2 i wanna know what you think about it 🤔
Hey what happened to the electric boat upgrade
Wow! I love this EBike and it would be a miracle to win this.
Looks like a bike that you would hire. What about security/ anti theft measures?
e-bike nowadays seldom got stolen in China. people forget to unplug their key all the time, and just leave it outdoor all day or over night. 😂😂😂😂

More torque probably

Thanks Micah. Subscribed after watching your '$2,000' truck videos. How's it going?
man speaking of shipping i just recalled that you're living in israel, hope you stays safe
I'm always waiting to see if you tow the empty box to the dumpster, that cracks me up.
Yadea is great!I just got one, less than 400 us$,run 80 km。
The color of this ebike is seafoam green, not gray.
Thanks for supporting PLA products.
Love your boots.
I love my Kingbull Literider. Paid $919 with no tax/free shipping
In Malaysia they outlaw this ebike. Its a grear way to travel in the over crowded cars in the cities and best of all its Green.
Why is it outlawed?
@annanelson6830 Maybe to protect local " kapcai" small cc motorbike in Malaysia. In the US its called Honda Cub.
@ thanks 😊
I live in a really hilly area. What bike would you recommend? How much torque is enough torque?
It’s nice to see a bike with a different design that doesn’t lean towards a mini bike or motorcycle.
looks like the saddle has some built in shock absorption ?
I need an E-Bike. 🚲
nice review !!!
Thanks. 🙂👍
Thanks for making this contact and offering a chance to win
color scheme is interesting

Great appearance / design to that bike.
I think so too!
@@EbikeSchool heavily inspired by the REMIDEMI Model from Benno Bikes :/
What is the price range?
Buen video, saludos desde Argentina
Interesting small longtail cargo bike
nice bike!
Riding e-bike looks cool
Orange on gray? Looks light blue 🤔
Your family safe after Milton?
probably should have done the fender before the rack.
You're very proficient with the hand tools.
