  • In this video you can see how to control Viessmann Car-Motion with Windigipet.
The commands are sent as DCC via Infra Red light to the cars.
The position is determined with Reed switches and sent to the Windigipet as S88.
For more details see my first video about this test track. • Car Motion og Windigipet

Hallo, do you have a magnet under the car ?? to activate the reed contact. and does the magnet under the car have no influence on the magnets that may be mounted along the road (at least with Viessmann car system)

Hello Jens, the Reed-contacts: Are they activated by the original magnet for steering or did you placed an additional magnet under the car? I made a test some weeks ago, but the original steering magnet was not strong enough.

They are activated by the original magnet for steering. On my test layout I have used a Faller Contact Wire and the reed contact are very close to this wire. Now I am experimenting with a 3 mm magnetic band - I have tried to put the reed contact under the band and I have tried to place the reed contact at the side of the band. Tomorrow I will receive more magnetic band - when I have an solution I will make a new video 😊

Thanks Jens for your reply. Now I see that you are using wire and not the magnetic band. I made some weeks ago (somewhere in the Facebook Group) a test, but no success. In the meantime I got smaller Reed contacts, but still not reliable when aside the magnetic band.
My next test will be to cut the magnetic band and to place there the Reed contact. In straight direction this may work...

@@fbstr2006 Later today hopefully I will have the magnetic band from Germany and then I have to test it 😊

What units have you used to transmit commands to the cars?

    • @jenskrogsgaard

Tak skal du have.
