Hi Nathan great ration and review as always...The Cod Curry is my favourite Norwegian ration menu to date..I reviewed one a while back but have since brought another half dozen and taken them on my camping and hiking trips...The Norwegian rations rarely disappoint...ATB..Mick

I am Norwegian and veteran from Lebanon, Iraq / Kuwait and former Yugoslavia. Have tasted battle rations from many countries during my service. But like been a Norwegian. I prefer the Norwegian. Surely incompetent
I really like those drinks, you can make it straight in the pouch and drink it from it. Also these rations are pretty nice in that there's not too much or too little stuff. Except spices, rations almost always lack spices. Salt & pepper + maybe some hot sauce should always be included.

Set the aperture higher- 8.0 or above. It'll be fine. It's a good camera.

I maybe said it several times before but again, norwegian arctic field rations never disappoint you. Nice review Nathan buddy. Haven't had this meal before but definitely on my list. One thing, stop the autofocus, it sucks.
So are all these Euro rations now halal? I don't remember the last time I saw a bacon and ham sandwich in one of these things.
I doubt all of them are halal. It wold require a whole separate process, making it much more expensive to produce.
We have seen some halal MRE's here on YT, but most are normal MRE's.
I think it would depend on the country, and how many soldiers there are wich requires it to be halal.
@@haraldlorentzen40 Interesting. Most European nations now have Muslim populations of varying sizes. Maybe the exclusion of pork products is to avoid offending them. A Muslim can generally eat a non-halal meal as long as it excludes pork. Their dietary restrictions are less than those of the Jews, who generally don't eat non-kosher certified meals. Producing a kosher meal is expensive. Subbing chicken tikka for pork sausages is actually cheaper!
@@evilubuntu9001 Could very well be as you say, but I know that here in Norway, if anything out of the nomal production wise happens, it's usually not very cost efficient. But again, I think it depends on each country and it's need for non regular MRE's to be produced.
I love the sweet and sour with pork from Drytech.
Don't look to bad brother but got to say I love the reindeer stew think it's my favorite ration.
This one was all a blur.
Maybe just practice playing with it 'til he gets the hand of it.
Still to this day i have never tried this ration just because of the way it smells.. It's basically illegal to open those in the tent..

Check you camera settings you might be able to correct the constant focus re focus, a better lens could correct it too, if not then look for another camera.
Where did you get it? It should not be hassled by the government. No meat.

Certainly makes sense to me, that in/out of focusing is migraine inducing! Such a shame to spoil a good review.

I was getting some MRE's for my emergency food (I live in norway) and was looking at the different kinds out there. I came away with the impression that the US army was actively trying to kill their troops using their MRE's and that the norwegian ones would allow you to live. In style. Without risking death.

That cod is famous for getting you kicked out of the tent if you are eating it, or have eaten it in the last few hours!

Atlantic cod should smell and taste "fishy", but not "off". It looks like a mild curry with a fair amount of turmeric in the curry powder.
Drytech/Real, as well as the Danish OrifO, make some really delicious looking and tasting meals. At least judging by the way you, Stickyfingaz, and other reviewers rave about them. The U. S. DoD could learn a thing or two for 'Murican MREs.

Cod and curry is typically a meal you could get on a West Indies island, fun to see that in a norvegian ARTIC ration. World food fusion at its best.
That's true, but I think cod is eaten in the West Indies because it was brought there from Canada by English merchants. Maybe it's more a Scandinavian-South Asian fusion since cod is very common in Norway.
Once you get used to that Cannon you will love it. I would recommend the cannon book for dummies. I are one and I gots it (LOL) That camera does a LOT more than you think. Love this video and thank you
