To Fr. Ripperger, I hope you see this...I have to give some constructive criticism here. The information presented is very enlightening. It speaks truth to my soul and makes me want to strive for a more virtuous life. However, in the beginning of the video, the images used for "visual aids" were poorly chosen. Hollywood images are evil in and of themselves, so perhaps ancient art would have been better, especially in light of the fact that the actress, Linda Blair was a very young girl, who was exploited by the industry. Her picture, from the movie, The Exorcist, was up for long periods of time on this video. I saw this movie with my siblings and looking back, it was very abusive on my parents part to allow us to watch it. This movie had profound psychological effects on people. We don't need those triggers again. Unfortunately, my siblings and I grew up in a secular home, but my mother would sporadically get "religion" and take us to Mass for long periods of time, then stop. Personally, I think you should consider re-doing the visual aids, and leave some of the Hollywood images out of this wonderful teaching.
As always amazing Teachings from Father Ripperger. My only question is why did you put such horrible pictures throughout this video? Made it very difficult to get through.... But thank you anyways. God Bless
No need to put such scary pictures in the video! You know Fr Rippether said the evil spirits can put these images in your head repeatedly! Please change the pictures?
I attend almost exclusively the Latin Rite Mass. There are a number of very holy people who attend also. How do I know? Just ask them. God bless Fr Ripperger. (By the way the predictive dictionary changes Fr Ripperger to (Fr Top of the range) seems fair.
I've seen the morphing once. There was a lady from the local Church who was into charismatic stuff, and a lifestyle of NFP. She always struck me as suspicious. While she was speaking to me once, her face literally took on the image of a bear.
One difficulty about what Ripperger says that if a Mass is said by a priest/bishop in a state of mortal sin - and there are surely many such clerics, given the number of bishops and priests who reject the faith, by rejecting any dogma of it (i.e., active gay priests or bishops who are trying to legitimize gay unions) - then no grace would flow at all from the celebration. But that can't be right because every sacrament conveys grace "ex opere operato" (i.e., independent of the worthiness or holiness of the priest). However, we receive grace "ex opere operantis," (i.e., proportional to the holiness of our disposition).
I believe 100% in the spiritual phenomena of grace from God, but I have to ask: is it possible that grace can sometimes be partially mental..? Like a peaceful state of mind? (I didn't watch this video, I just clicked on it and posted this here, are the answers in this video?)
No! Grace transcends the natural powers and faculties of our soul to assist us in doing good. That might involve prevenient actual grace to repent if we are in a state of mortal sin, or deepen our virtuous habits if we're already in a state of grace. Think of it this way. There are millions of people who got sober through joining the AA Fellowship, and working their spiritual program of recovery. However, virtually every one of them joined out of desperation because their own inner resolve and strength failed them repeatedly. So there must have been something outside of themselves that enabled them to get sober. Obviously, psyching themselves up, or reading up on the power of positive thinking or joining some self-help group didn't get them very far.
Will Branson I'm very glad to have gotten this answer. Like I said, I believe completely that grace transcends the mind; that it's supernatural strength given by God, but I don't think I asked the right question. I know that grace is spiritual, but like for example, if somebody has a strong feeling of peace and closeness to God after receiving Communion, is that just a feeling/emotion or is that a manifestation of the Holy Spirit? I've read before in spiritual direction that feelings can be deceiving and unless your will doesn't line up with God's, your feelings aren't genuine.
Yes, feelings can be very deceiving. A soul can initially find it difficult to know whether movements come from the Holy Spirit because the devil and bad angels can also stir up euphoric feelings, as can our unbalanced emotions. However, there are criteria that will let us know fairly quickly. If you read up on the saints or get any good (CATHOLIC) book on prayer, they'll tell you that God frequently gives beginners consolations to get us going....for a while. But he invariably soon cuts us off because souls start seeking the consolations of God rather his will, and make no further progress until they do. It's hard to be an athlete (physical or spiritual) on a diet of chocolates and butter tarts. Doctors of the Church like John of the Cross, and Teresa of Avila go into quite a bit of detail. (e.g. The Way of Perfection, The Interior Castle: Teresa of Avila) The founder of the St. Philip Neri Toronto Oratory (originator of the greatest Latin High Mass in the country) told me he uses "The "Spiritual Combat and a Treatise on Peace of the Soul" by Dom Lorenzo Scupoli. Another famous classic is"The Ways of Mental Prayer" by Dom Vitalis Lehodey. Still another more recent work is "Difficulties in Mental Prayer" by Dom Eugene Boylan. There are probably free pdf versions available online, that don't require you to register and give them a credit card number.
Overall great interview marred by the "no differences between the races" quip---i.e. " there is an infinitesimal DNA difference between the races"By the above argument, one could argue there is only a very small difference between the genders! P.C. strikes again!
I agree John, I have spent time around most of the races and the way we think and act is completely different. There are differences in disease patterns, behaviour patterns, IQ, individuality, to name but a few. It is true we are all children of God, but we are created unique and distinct, and the lesson of the Tower of Babel is that trying to pretend we can overcome this by attempting some globalist multiracial utopia can only come from Satan. A good catholic recognises the diversity of different peoples and seeks their preservation, rather than entertaining the cultural Marxist desire to mix us into a generic brown melting pot.
One must as Catholics faithful stick to the reality of Christ ‘s christology through the Holy Spirit Gifts of His fruits sanction by the One True God three DIVINE Persons FATHER,Son and Holy Spirit,Simply ask for this from Abba Heavenly FATHER source and Sanctioner of the Holy Spirit,Amen .
wouldnt analise michel have to have the church apporve the Marian apparition? as couldnt the devil have tempted yer to allow the demons back in? how would she have known the difference?
You really shouldn’t put up some of the more disturbing images in this video, especially in light of what Fr Ripperger says about how demons can use these images to haunt your imagination.
+William McEnaney It's the foundation of philosophy. Philosophy occurred in three stages, if you will. Metaphysics: What is it? Epistemology: How do we know what it is? Ethics: How should it be? Without metaphysics the other disciplines are meaningless.
Rich Quitliano In his Dictionary of Philosophy, Dagobert Runes defines metaphysics as "the science of being as such." To describe it a little more concretely, I'd say it's the branch of philosophy that tries to give a completely general account of everything there is. There is one thing I utterly HATE about Fr. Ripperger's lectures. They're all TOO SHORT!! This priest is a wealth of knowledge.

Best priest to learn the faith

always enlightening! Thank you Father.
Glad he's on our side.
Thanks for this video, always learn something from Fr. R.
