Marvin Gaye was part of early Motown in the 1960's. He had a lot of great duets with Tammi Terrell such as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", "Your Precious Love", “Heaven Must Have Sent You”, "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing", "If I Could Build My Whole World Around You" etc. Sadly Tammi died young in 1970 at the age of only 24. Marvin never got over her death.
Wow, never knew that, thanks. Ashford and Simpson made a fantastic album in the 80's Dr. Maya Angelou called "Been Found ". Still hoping for a reaction.❤😊
This particular video was cut short for some reason because the song does not end that abruptly. So glad for the reaction...I requested it a looooong time ago.😅😅😅
They weregood friends, but MG was married to Berry Gordy's sister before a 1970 divorce.Tammi had a personal relationship with David Ruffin unfortunately he was physically assaulting to his girlfriend and tammi developed a brain tumor that took her life
It happened with both men .in-between the two relationships she had considered going to college and leavethe singing career behind, then change mind and signed with Motown
When I hear this song...I tear up. I also know there is hope.. And the entire band is amazing...

God I miss Tammy. She was well on her way to the top when her young life was cut short. Marvin loved her.
They were great friends and when she died it really effected him
My favorite singing duo!! Priceless!!
They had some amazing hits together. It was sad that she passed away at such a young age, but may they both rest in peace, 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
4 the young ones who thought Mary J. Blige & Method Man were the originals....
Wow thanks for this one Shawn and Mel . Continue to R.I.P Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell ❤
A classic duet by Marvin and Tammy. Marvin also did 2 great duets with Mary Wells ( Once Upon A Time ) and Kim Weston ( It Takes Two).
They sang great together
Love them!! Gone to soon. RIP

James Brown beat her down because she wasn’t standing in the wings off stage during his show. She used to date him.
