Totally agree with you, Luke. Without a good command of English, you won’t get far. I’m an IT professional working here in Singapore, and my first job made me realise that I need to continuously improve my English skills as I climb the corporate ladder year by year. I started with broken English, but now I’ve reached a B2 or C1 level in spoken communication. However, I’m still not satisfied. I want to achieve more - to speak fluent English confidently on stage or in public speaking settings. That’s why I set a goal every year to improve in specific areas. I appreciate what you said about good English. It’s not just about advanced vocabulary but about how well you communicate, even with basic English.

Great to hear your story. I've seen so many learners who get totally stuck on vocabulary and completely forget about the big picture.

English is indeed more than a language these days. It's a skill for getting multiple jobs. It is very likely to stay relevant up until 21st century.
We don't know yet what language will replace or change how humans communicate.

I find countries where English is the primary language also share the same social and moral values.

As for GPT chat, it understands me very well in my native language too, so I don't really agree with this point.
However, for communicating with people who don't speak my native language irl, English is, in my opinion, still necessary and, at least at the moment, it seems to me that technology is not going to replace that. Sure, one can use an online translator, but it's inconvenient, a bit awkward and takes time.

Brother... If possible, make a video about the new voice mode of Copilot. Today it has been officially released here in Brazil. But honestly there are a lot of problems with it... The conversations don't have a sequence.. Everytime you need to leave the window it forgets everything 😅... But the reasoning is good, overall. If possible I would like your analysis on copilots voice mode.

@@CloudEnglishI'm using on Android. The app of Copilot.
But it has a time limit for free users to speak😂.

With AI, there will be no language barriers. As long as you know any language, you can communicate seamlessly. Life is short, as long as you know one major language, you can communicate with each other without having to spend time learning a foreign language that is not your native language.
