I also love how this version feels darker and more dramatic than the original. While Ian kept the main structure of the song, this one somehow brings a completely different vibe with the key change and the added layers. Really cool, I wonder if we’ll get more Mito versions in the future!

@@janchristianpongan4242hi! you should look into some interviews with Ian where he explains the whole Mito/Mr Insanity thing. Long story short, he has DID (dissociative identity disorder) as well as bipolar disorder, and Mito is the identity that step forwards when he is going through a manic low episode. He is a guardian/protector and has a distinct personality/look/sound that you can follow in his music and his videos
@janchristianpongan4242 soo, ian has 3 main characters in his universe(the fourth one, the hybrid, is still being introduced), these characters are ian, mito and mrs insanity, which are all kinda representations of different personalities and states he goes through because of his bipolar. in the storyline, we have these as strictly different characters, mito is the one that mostly has the b&w aesthetic, and the original "don't go insane" mv is through Mrs insanity pov!!

To any new dreamers who don't know, Ian has said in the past that the deeper distorted voice is Mito in his songs. So, when you listen to the first two albums (or the recent) and hear a deep distorted voice that's Mito being present.

@@universodetinta6359 So Mito is one of Ian’s alter Ego’s. He takes over when Ian is feeling a manic down state. On DPR IAN’s ig bio he will show a new moon 🌑 emoji when he’s feeling this irl. The first album kinda explores how Mito affects Ian after he’s Ian again (So Beautiful MV) but the second album is supposed to be more about Mito himself. Christian Yu (aka IAN) has said that after he’s in these states, he doesn’t really know/ remember everything he does. It’s almost out of body. Mito always has the deep distorted voice (you can hear it so far in each album), wears a black fur coat, has one blue or silver eye, wears a cowboy hat and is signaled through a rain and thunder sound.
The distortion of the voice, the choir, the addition of the background vocals and the orchestra made it so majestic and darker, the perfect MITO version. I love this. As always dpr never disappoint

@@kata5398 I think you can tell from the above comment that you are not the only voice on what bipolar is like, and I do admit I am unsure of who is more accurate, but accusing people of romanticizing is just being unnecessarily insulting. like... do you really need to make it look like everyone who isn't totally right about this one of those airhead fans? I get there's a lot of them and I admit I might be wrong, but no you don't get to just accuse strangers of being one of those. I got my understanding from people who are diagnosed with bipolar (no not that person above, people I knew in real life for years), and yes I've sent them these videos to ask them what they think of it. I did not just look at these mvs and say "oo it must be right because it's aesthetically pleasing" not everyone is that much of an airhead, even though they may not necessarily be right.

I cannot even explain the feelings I get any time I watch something Ian's made. Honestly. The feeling up, down and everything in between; the happiness and the sadness. The colours, the visuals, the little sounds, even down to the way its edited - its so breath-taking and each little thing is pieced together perfectly to make something incredibly beautiful and emotional. Ah I just cannot even fully put into words just how incredible Ian really is, no other artist in my life has ever hit me as hard as what he has. His music and all he creates and is has touched me in deep ways and I'm eternally grateful for that.🖤

@alanaba mmh mito did write songs tho... Seraph was completely made by him, the song Mito too every song where there is a switch up like I just danced at the end why is it totally different at the end it's because Mito came to the front at that time... Ian even talks about it in his lives

I love how this version is slightly different lyrically than the original. Gives it a more sad and pleading kind of feeling to me.
The last line of verse 2 and the interlude is different in MITO's version

There's also a new emphasis on "stay" here where in the original, it was the end of the sentence, but in this version, it's both the end of the sentence and the beginning of a new one saying "stay with me" more specially.

I love this. I have chills. It's the same song, same artist even, but the vibes the two songs give off is totally different. Insanitys very is fun, it's a bop. This is deep, is gives a darker feel and oooo baby those Ab libs in the higher octive! I enjoy the Mito touch

I love how opposite everything is on Mito’s perspective is and it is quite ironic that Mito is the protector yet it’s black and white and distorted as of he’s in another part of the unknown compared to mr.insanity’s perspective where it’s colorful and like dpr Ian said behind the scenes “mpre of a Frankenstein” where the locals treat insanity like a freak

@@FoxxGoblin Oh that's what I thought too. We see glimpses of the same scenes as this visualizer but in color there or the continuation like the stabbing I guess. Mito is also seen on a wanted sign for the murder of miss insanity. It's confusing but at the same time really intriguing
