talking about classical music. They did a three piece symphony on this album called Exogenesis, 12 minutes long divided into 3 acts, bit like a movie. Also you'll find a lot of inspiration from Rachmaninov, Bach and Chopin (they did a cover of one of his symphonies at the end of the song called "United States of Eurasia on this album, which actually is a Queen homage, so you get Queen, Muse and Chopin mixed together on that track. Anyways, great review!
Fun fact: When Muse toured in China, they weren't allowed to play this song
Best stage ever. Next do Butterflies and hurricanes live from Wembley or the studio version
I was at this concert! It's at LCCC in Manchester, the stage is their own and they took it all round the world with them on this tour
Space dementia and microcuts are more classical music inspired songs. You’ll def like them.
Thanks Muser I will check em out
And if you do check out Microcuts I highly recommend the Hullabaloo live version. Highly recommend.
Take a look at reapers by muse, absolutely amazing guitar throughout the song
2009 Lancashire county cricket club, my first time seeing muse. Still get goosebumps thinking about that amazing experience. Unreal performance
They have a 3-part symphony called Exogenisis on The Resistance album. Also Algorithm (Alternate Reality) from the Simulation Theory album is like a film score soundtrack. And Isolated System from The 2nd Law album have a symphonic classical score feel about it.
cant regret hearing Muse repeatedly in every format one can get them. 😁💆♀️
If you want to explore more of their classical side try : Butterflies and Hurricanes and then maybe you can do Exogenesis Symphony part 1, 2 and 3 (3 songs).
Yep, them 3 plus Morgan McMuse down in the pit. Although I'm not sure when he started touring or how often he does.
The Stage was from the Resistance Tour
The bassline in case you haven't noticed are just actually octaves but very effective...
I didn’t know that, very cool, thanks Franz
If you love classical music, watch the Wembley Stadium performance of “Butterflies & Hurricanes”!! Matt throws down on some Rachmaninov type jams that will blow you away! Muse is the best live band on the planet. Period, end of story. Yes, they have an additional musician they Bering with them on tour. That guy plays keys, percussion instruments and occasionally guitar.
Try plug in baby live by MUSE or pressure with algorithm intro live also by muse
You should try execution commentary. It's there best song.
If you like songs with more piano on them, then you need to listen Exogenesis, Space Dementia, Sunburn and my personal favourite Butterflies and Hurricanes.
Madness, Supermassive Blackholes, Algorithm and Panic station are a good example of they not being afraid to experiment with electronic kind of sounds.
Follow me, Neutron Star Collision and Get up and fight for more pop-romantic.
The Handler, Stockholm Syndrome, Hyper Music, Fury and Citizen erased for more heavy rock oriented.
Soldier's Poem, Unintended and Dig Down (Live) if you like acoustic songs.
Unnatural Selection, Exo-Politics and The Second law: Isolated system are about conspiracies.
City of Delusion or Exo-politics maybe :D
Jimmy Page played Stairway to Heaven live with double neck guitar
Next Unnatural selection 🔥
This was Manchester LNCC and I was there! 😁Was unreal
I was in Paris on the same stadium tour.... Awsome live, awsome entrance, woohoo !
more then just a band...
Great video man! Love the reactions
Consider giving Micro Cuts a listen you will not regret it
Good luck :)
Thanks Luke, I will put it on the list
While their Live performances are certainly good and often on par or better than studio ones (like Stockholm Syndrome live at Wembley or live at Glastonbury), i wouldn’t agree with people saying just listen to live versions, as often live they don’t play some nifty elements of the song, like unfinished riff, vocal not holding up, or simply sounds mixing and muffling these parts. So i would definitely recommend checking some songs in studio version along with Live version for comparison. In live performances for some songs i haven’t felt the same vibe and effect as in studio version of these, like Showbiz, Reapers and few others. Other fans might disagree with me, but this is how i feel about some of their songs. Either way, great quality reactions!
Thank you Orbacle
Fun fat 2: The bassist also can play the drums lol
And also the guitar 😁
And the keyboard
Criss basic in guitar,Matt and dom invite him to join and then be play bass
They only use that bass for this particular song
Do live
Love Muse and how they lay it out. But Muse isn't just laying that rock vibe out there. So much is less pounding and more composition. Hit up one of their early songs Muse - Unintended live @ Eurockeennes 2000 or Muse - United States of Eurasia (+Collateral Damage)
Thanks for the comment Gibson, I will check em out over time for sure, any suggestions for good studio songs, haven’t done any yet?
@@scottanderson81 I'm sure everyone has always told you Muse live is the best. But they do have songs they don't perform live as the composition to perform live is tough, which is usually the non-rocking songs. Try the three part Exogenesis Symphony. Use a version with lyrics on the screen. If you prefer rocking, I always though Unnatural Selection is underrated.
@@scottanderson81 - Scott. Love your reviews. Love Muse, especially live. I'm an old rocker... 58. I will make you a small wager. Listen to The Sound of Silence by Disturbed, the studio version and record the reaction. While the live great, Dave had the flu. Feel free to stop during the first half, but the second half is one shot. If that is not the best cover ever, $10 to any charity is on me. And the reverse if I lose.
PS. Daughter has PKU. I know several great places. Be happy to lose that one.
Would you be open to doing a reaction video to our new single “Somewhere”!? 🙏😀 would be amazing!!
Hey, I will see what I can do...
Scott Anderson that would be awesome! Thanks Scott!
