I'm surprised that well-known streamers are actually taking Tencent's money and supporting this. It just goes to show that streamers play a significant role in shaping what we see in the market today. I mean, a subscription-based "secure case" and actually paying for the ability to chat with others? Yes, I'm not kidding-paying for a "communicator" that enables you to talk to other players. Five to ten years ago, this would have never seen the light of day. Supporting this only contributes to the issues we're now seeing with free-to-play games.

Okay I've played since the game released on mobile and have come out with over 1.3 mil loot value on a naked knife only run because I played better than the Chad squad I wiped. This and runs similar to this have happened for me multiple times. The only thing I've ever paid for in game is the season pass. About the secure containers, so in the mobile version there is something called a season store where you can buy cases, operator clothes, patches and a bundle where you have a random chance to get armor, bullets, thermals collectibles etc. And they refresh every week as you can only buy once. But it all depends on the community, since AB mobile has a lot micro transactions and I barely see anyone spending a single penny on the actual p2w elements and mostly focus on the cosmetics which i think will maybe happen on the pc as well.
I haven't spent a dime and I have been playing for over a year. Anyone who bitches either can't have fun for free or is just salty for not being able to spend money on the game. The real reason why those purchasable things are even in game is for the rich minority who is addicted to purchasing things in game, they keep the profits going while the bulk of the player base will either spend very little or nothing.

I died to a duo in normal farm. The guy who killed me had all tier 5 armor with tier 5 ammo. That ammo is almost 1000 koen a bullet. Normal farm nets around 100,000 per run. His armor and helmet alone was easily over 100,000. Over a 100k in armor, ammo, and probably gun. In a low tier looting area meant for noobs and broke people. I got a lvl 4 armor, lvl 3 helmet, lvl 3 ammo, 20k gun. I'm alone, he's got friends. GG. He wasn't even good. I out positioned, got the drop, but my ammo just tickled him. He turned and dropped me instantly.

A secure container and a keychain, things that are also available for purchase in Tarkov. Whether its $30 a month or a one time purchase of $250, the advantages these things provide are not different. None of the actual gameplay is locked behind any pay wall. No real advantage over other players is locked behind anything. This is not AW where you HAVE to use real life money to open loot boxes and get variants of guns that straight up have better stats, THAT is P2W.

I spent a whole 2 days playing this game getting as much loot as possible. Once my stash was completely full, extended stash included, I did a batch sale on EVERYTHING just to get an estimate. Everything came to 500k total. Keep in mind I had tons of modded guns, tons of purple loot, some gold loot, and all of that crap should have gave me at least 2 mil, but no, the loot you get is worth barely a fraction of its value. This game is 100% pay to win. Imagine penny pinching for days to get a good kit, then going into a raid and getting dispatched by a some bush wookie, a squad of juicers, or some cheater, losing everything

Most idiotic thing of all is its a half ripped tarkov. None of the items have ANY use but quest/sell them. They ripped entire game but failed to add hideout, skills. Im level 15 in ABI now and i dont see the reason to not play tarkov. It looks 100 times better, it feels better theres actually NIGHT that looks pich black. Sound design is milion times better, and ofc it is the ORIGINAL . The only thing that i like in abi over tarkov is when you load mags you can exit inventory and walk around while loading.

Sound design id 600x better in tarkov. Sounds are realistic and everything brings atmosphere to Max. In Abi, sounds are trash. From guns to running . When you run indoors it's like running over drums. Super unrealistic and it must duck because they went all in to copy tarkov. And it's AliExpress tarkov.
My only issue with being able to buy in game currency is it gives the developers an incentive to make it harder to earn money in game. Cant find any PvP on the normal modes so have to risk $120,000+ every raid

What’s more important is that you can win and have fun without paying for anything. Which is completely possible in this game. It’s a high quality game, that is free, and easy for new players to get into. All these complaints are really reaching. You have access to almost all gear by level 3. You’re never going to run into someone that beat you simply because they paid for something you couldn’t get access to.
Then the monetization shouldn’t need to exist. That’s actually WORSE using this logic because you’re saying they’re preying on gamers acting as if it will make them better when in reality they’re duping people

Skill definitely plays a huge role in games like this however, the ability to purchase advantages or conveniences can still be seen as a form of 'pay-to-win.' When players can buy items or benefits that give them an edge, even if it's just a convenience, it can shift the balance.

Played till I hit level 8 all of 2 hours after release; died to a guy in full kit that was lvl 4 after spraying him down with an ak with pp ammo, uninstalled. Dude had a kitted m4 and was wearing high level armor a solid 2 hours after the game went live, and I decided I wasn’t gonna deal with that

You are overreacting this. You can unlock the 2x3 keychain for free by doing missions and you dont need that much keys for one map. Buying koen isnt an issue because if someone is good at the game he can get himself the money and the gear if someone sucks at the game you just kill him and take the stuff he bought. Buying koen is very expensive too. Only the case is a bit too pay to win but they have to make money with the game somehow.

This is not P2W at all. The most crucial point is that no matter how much money a player spends, it can't change the stats of the weapons. No amount of money will protect you from an ambush by a rat. All the rat needs to do is hide in the grass with poor equipment and wait for you on your way back. You could spend a fortune buying a billion Koen, but you'll still die, and you might even die faster due to overconfidence and lack of caution. The core of the game's future revenue lies in selling weapon skins, which do not affect the weapon's performance. As for Koen, only fools would buy it, and even if they did, it wouldn't help them win. In some games, like War Thunder, if you spend money to buy a powerful tank, that tank will always be yours. But this game is entirely different-buying Koen will ultimately only end up in the rat's pocket. So I completely don't understand the logic of those who say this game is p2w. Moreover, this business model is superior to the Tarkov model, and the reason is simple: in Tarkov, once a player buys the game, they have no further value. The BSG and ABI situations are completely different. If you dont see the nuance between them then try to look at it objectively. ABI never claimed to not be micro transactioned up. BSG has been vocal about not being that way and yet let RMT and cheats run wild while selling massive game packages with p2w mechanics built in. One game is honest about it.

About the cosmetics, the moblie version only has a LOT of paid cosmetics. All of them are gained via lucky wheel, most of them cost aroud 150-250$ dollars. And don't even get me started at P2W knifes they released which have better stats than the standard knife

Okay I've played since the game released on mobile and have come out with over 1.3 mil loot value on a naked knife only run because I played better than the Chad squad I wiped. About the secure containers, so in the mobile version there is something called a season store where you can buy cases, operator clothes, patches and a bundle where you have a random chance to get armor, bullets, thermals collectibles etc.
And they refresh every week as you can only buy once.
But it all depends on the community, since AB mobile has a lot micro transactions and I barely see anyone spending a single penny on the actual p2w elements and mostly focus on the cosmetics which i think will maybe happen on the pc as well.
I haven't spent a dime and I have been playing for over a year.
Anyone who bitches either can't have fun for free or is just salty for not being able to spend money on the game.
The real reason why those purchasable things are even in game is for the rich minority who is addicted to purchasing things in game, they keep the profits going while the bulk of the player base will either spend very little or nothing.

I died to a duo in normal farm. The guy who killed me had all tier 5 armor with tier 5 ammo. That ammo is almost 1000 koen a bullet. Normal farm nets around 100,000 per run. His armor and helmet alone was easily over 100,000. Over a 100k in armor, ammo, and probably gun. In a low tier looting area meant for noobs and broke people. I got a lvl 4 armor, lvl 3 helmet, lvl 3 ammo, 20k gun. I'm alone, he's got friends. GG. He wasn't even good. I out positioned, got the drop, but my ammo just tickled him. He turned and dropped me instantly.

I spent a whole 2 days playing this game getting as much loot as possible. Once my stash was completely full, extended stash included, I did a batch sale on EVERYTHING just to get an estimate. Everything came to 500k total. Keep in mind I had tons of modded guns, tons of purple loot, some gold loot, and all of that crap should have gave me at least 2 mil, but no, the loot you get is worth barely a fraction of its value. This game is 100% pay to win.
Imagine penny pinching for days to get a good kit, then going into a raid and getting dispatched by a some bush wookie, a squad of juicers, or some cheater, losing everything

Im level 15 in ABI now and i dont see the reason to not play tarkov. It looks 100 times better, it feels better theres actually NIGHT that looks pich black. Sound design is milion times better, and ofc it is the ORIGINAL . The only thing that i like in abi over tarkov is when you load mags you can exit inventory and walk around while loading.

Sound design id 600x better in tarkov. Sounds are realistic and everything brings atmosphere to Max. In Abi, sounds are trash. From guns to running . When you run indoors it's like running over drums. Super unrealistic and it must duck because they went all in to copy tarkov. And it's AliExpress tarkov.
My only issue with being able to buy in game currency is it gives the developers an incentive to make it harder to earn money in game.

What’s more important is that you can win and have fun without paying for anything. Which is completely possible in this game. It’s a high quality game, that is free, and easy for new players to get into.

Played till I hit level 8 all of 2 hours after release; died to a guy in full kit that was lvl 4 after spraying him down with an ak with pp ammo, uninstalled. Dude had a kitted m4 and was wearing high level armor a solid 2 hours after the game went live, and I decided I wasn’t gonna deal with that

Dude Promoz gl40 and viibin already had 10 sets of 2 million dollar sets in 10 hours of playing because they are better than 99% of players and spent pretty much no money other than gamma case and storage. I’m not even that insane of a player and made 1 mill in like 4 hours buying in game money is a waste unless you are complete trash at the game and are going to lose that gear anyways. I disagree with this heavily. Nothing they're selling is really important. You can say the safe case is pay to win, but I have a high survival rate without it. You are overreacting this. You can unlock the 2x3 keychain for free by doing missions and you dont need that much keys for one map. Buying koen isnt an issue because if someone is good at the game he can get himself the money and the gear if someone sucks at the game you just kill him and take the stuff he bought. Buying koen is very expensive too. Only the case is a bit too pay to win but they have to make money with the game somehow.

The core of the game's future revenue lies in selling weapon skins, which do not affect the weapon's performance. As for Koen, only fools would buy it, and even if they did, it wouldn't help them win. In some games, like War Thunder, if you spend money to buy a powerful tank, that tank will always be yours. But this game is entirely different-buying Koen will ultimately only end up in the rat's pocket. So I completely don't understand the logic of those who say this game is p2w.
