      Hello! The 1 and 4 means that the position of your pivot is in the 1st row, 4th column.

      pls repeat the process sir. Clear your calcu first. shift-9-3. Then do exactly whats on the video. Always choose 1 as your pivot. 👍

    Good day sir, paano pala iyong sinasabi nyu na pivot na ndi siya 1, sinubukan ko na itmes by 0.5 ang lahat ng number sa matrix kaso di ko parin makuha, salamat sir

    • @EngineerProfPH
      @EngineerProfPH  5 лет назад +4

      @@leobesa2887 HI! Dont choose zero. if there is no number 1, just pick any number like if you choose 2 as your pivot, multiply all the numbers in your matrix by 1/2 to make it 1.

    • @EngineerProfPH
      @EngineerProfPH  5 лет назад +2

      @@parkhello2262 If you solve this using the pivotal method, -1 is actually a constant in the formula. It is concerned with your change of sign (positive or negative), so its really important.

      If you use the pivotal method, it is in the formula. It deals with the sign of your determinant. It also depends on the position of your pivot.
