Sightless Watcher is an extremely powerful card for demon hunter. Just think about it, demon hunter has a new keyword: Outcast which does something when the card is the left- or right-most card in your hand. If you can manage to put an Outcast card on the top of your deck with Sightless Watcher then you can draw it and due to the fact you've just drawn the card it's gonna be the right-most card in your hand so the Outcast will trigger.
I personally just think it's powerful in most decks because it's Scry. Scry is very very useful in most decks, as being able to choose the card that you will topdeck is quite a good effect. You can ignore a bad draw in favour of a better one. Even in fringe cases of three bad options, there's still a "best" draw for the state of the game you are in.
What people are overlooking in my opinion for sightless watcher is it activates outcast cards by guaranteeing the outcast will be drawn on the right hand side.
Boingboingsplat yeah that’s what I’m saying, if you have hit outcast cards with the watcher then you get an added bonus next turn perhaps one that fits your curve well
@@BBSplat a sizable amount of outcast cards are good tempo or value plays in their own merits in addition to the reactive ones, though the reactive ones as well are typically good unless your opponent is playing a particular deck.
mmmm an hour of Kibler talking about cards, just what I need to pass the time Was hoping we'd get another Omnistone podcast to cover the cards but this is cool too :)
Brian seems like he always hits the nail on the head with card reviews for me, with cards like Nethradamus especially. So many people are seeing that card and going "oh wow it's like 2 8 drops for free!" But Brian seems to see the real scenarios you want to play these cards in.
I still think twin slice is the best Demon Hunter card. It's just raw, flexible tempo in a card. The fact you can split it up makes it so that it's even better than backstab (in most cases) because you can save it or use it for an outcast effect like the 3 Mana 3/2.
The comparison to Backstab is kind of awkward. Backstab is direct damage and has an unrelated limitation, and it is mostly played in Rogue to activate Combo. So they are really very different cards. A better comparison is to Pounce. Certainly, Twin Slice is a lot better than Pounce, but it won't necessarily be more useful than Backstab, or really even similar to it.
If only there were some cost reduction to hit both auctioneer and Kel’thas in the same turn, I could imagine a crazy cycling OTK (not being high tier, but just existing for fun)
honestly as cool as the smorc and token demon hunter builds look im MOST excited to try a lifesteal control demon hunter , idk what it is yet but most likely lifesteal and demons
Today I will be productive while working from home and practicing social distancing. *Kibler releases hour long video* I guess we can start that productive thing tomorrow :)
29:50 Use soul Split on your naga after using both felscreamers to discount the naga to 0, then play command the illidari or 2 of the 3 mana basic spell that summons 3 1/1s with rush, swing in for 30 dmg with command the illidari or 36 dmg with 2 copies of the 3 mana spell.
The nice thing about Nethrandamus is that it's a dragon you want to keep in your hand, turning on dragon synergies. I don't think DH has enough of a support to go some dragon variant now, but since it's part of the base DH set maybe later.
Gonna be a staple for sure. Consistency wins games. Tracking sometimes saw play and the difference here is 1 mana draw a card vs 2 mana 3/2. That's literally how strong this is.
It's a flexible combo with a powerful draw engine to back it up. And DH has good chip damage/tempo as well as weapons to increase the damage. I can see it being tier 3 maybe lower tier 2 at best but not total trash.
"Demon hunter doesn't have access to lackeys" *Laughs in E.V.I.L. Cable Rat* Sorry I just couldn't help it cuz I know someday in one game this will happen and I will always remember this video. Awesome review!

Similarly, firebat accidentally implied there would be four expansions in the most recent omnistone, and Kibler and Frodan shut it down immediately. Genuine accidents, or did they reveal some secret stuff at the summit that isn’t in the roadmap?
I know most of the cards you talked about in the video which were not the one shown on screen (like "Molten Reflection" when you talked about "Soul Split"), but it would be very nice to just show it briefly in a corner for everyone who doesn't. Great video tho :D
I think the question with Nethradamus is how big it will get without any support or build around, if you draw it in the mid-game in a midrange deck and aren't in a rush to play it. If its floor looks more like an 8/8 and 2 3-drops (which seems pretty easy to make happen.), I think it might work. It's a disgusting play in response to your opponent wiping the board- "I just lost 5 units? Okay, let's see what Nethradamus has used their souls for", and that alone might give it some amount of value.
That turn of Kaelthas twin+twin+inner demon...IF you have a weapon equip. Yeah that will be the base "burst win condition" of Demon Hunter pretty sure. That is so much damage from nowhere with just 3 cards that upgrades A LOT if you have a set-up weapon...
@@chinyang1200 I can imagine them running it for at least two weeks to test the worth. Pretty safe to assume most people will play Demon Hunter to try a brand new hero. Especially if people try to aggro with Illidian.
If Nathandramus is in hand,it is very strong, however obviously is weaker the later you draw it.Even later or if on board, you might be able to buff it 2-3 times rather easily.IMO this is still good enough to be in every tempo ,late game hunter deck.
*Demon Hunter deck. Not "HUNTER" deck. they are not the same. so many people are saying "hunter" when referring to Demon Hunter cards that I'm starting to get genuinely concerned that people don't realize they are 2 separate classes.
I think everyone is under rating mana burn like yes it's only good in delaying your opponents power swing like a Reno to trash your tempo but RN everybody has a "thing" for a power move and how many times do you find youraelf saying "man if I had 1 more turn I could have pulled it off"
(TURN 7 20 TO FACE) When dormant cards wake can they attack that same turn? If so Imprisoned Antaen is so OP, it's a rare that's beyond legendary strength. A turn 7 10/6 that does 10 damage split among ENEMIES! So, it can clear a board of mid level minions or do 20 TO FACE if the board is empty. If the card is "cheated out" early you can potentially have it wake up on Turn 5 effectively ending the game super early. I think this is the most powerful card released in a very long time.
From what I remember, once you unlock demon hunter, you get all the basic cards and something called the 'Initiate' card pile which are demon hunter cards that aren't basic cards. As for which card is which, I can't answer.
Well here and in wow, it was wanted so they try to make it more desirable and fun and exciting to get people back. Look at the shadowlands expansion coming to wow. People expected a new class as it fits the cycle of every 2 expansions and were disappointed when there is none (me included) slight rambling aside, they want people to spend money and play and this is the way
Oh, I think Sunfury is worse than I thought it would be. I think it only makes hero attacks avoid taunts, but I can never tell with the Hearthstone wording
The Sunfury legendary text means ALL attacks can go past taunts. The opponents taunt minions become visibly transparent, so all minions and weapon can attack anything.
I’m very skeptical of Demon hunter being control. Mid-range maybe, but it feels very aggressive and I can’t imagine it’d be more than a novelty like control hunter. Control often wants card generation to maintain resources and demon hunter has only one mediocre discover, and in general seems to be critically lacking value
What i like about these cards ,is FINALLY after years of Hunter just being an aggro type face deck, these cards allow for a lot more archetypes.I mean it was sickening to remember the season where people were playing like 25 neutral cards just to run the optimal aggro hunter. So now Hunter can play better cards and make better THINKING decks.
why is kibler talking about outcast like you actually have to use your brain, i mean the only time that matters is right after the mulligan, which should be easy since you just mulliganed, if not you just play 1-2 cards and it's done, then every top deck is and out-cast big deal...

Then the other new ards come in and ev1 ralizes DH is good but not as good because the other new cards will create other equally strong decks. In basic theory, exactly what happened with the Shaman nerf ,then new cards came out then Shaman was in the dumpster thanks to the uncalled for nerfs.
That’s possible but you can always disenchant the cards to get a full dust refund. Once the Shaman nerf came I mass disenchanted all of the copies of the cards that got nerfed, even extra copies so I got more out of it. If they do that with DH then I’m going back to Zoolock. I want to try out tempo DH.
I didnt play Hearthstone in a long time, but i still watch Kiblers Videos. I dont like the new expansion so i dienchanted all my cards and crafted my favourite Deck in Wild: Razakus Priest. Lol
Kibler always accounting for the BM advantage when evaluating a card.
Putting the BM in BMKibler.
"Can you get multiple Skulls of Guldan?"
Actually yes, two to be exact. The original one, and the alternate timeline one, so the card its perfect XDDD
Literally what I thought of too
Rodrigo Llanos except he didn’t save the AU one’s skull
Who got the second skull?!
Rivey Illidan crushed the AU skull
