I failed to realize that him giving me that choice was a bad idea cause I was just too nervous and scared to try nerfing/balancing it at all because we didn't want another Blade of Justice situation to happen with Heliopolis, and I didn't wanna let people down, so I just kinda sat there for about a month not really doing much till he kicked me.

I guess ultimately it depends on the person but as someone who playtested it a ton while Pablohh had it, and someone who was also the verifier at one point I think I would say it's both a mix of just unpleasant to play AND because it was made to be unpleasant. It's a brutal timing level with gameplay I haven't seen before, and some parts (Wesp and UFWM) are insanely fun, but others are insanely difficult. It's carried by chokepoints and I don't think I want to put up with that. And also, we had both assumed it was projected to be Top 1 to 3 originally, because of the amount of attention and hype Heliopolis was getting back in May or so since it was finished and getting actively publicly verified. The community's view on the level shifted what me and Mindcap excepted. Sure, you could say that around the time the layout was made it was definitely Top 1, but things change, and to be honest I don't know the original difficulty plan of where it was going to be on the list.

4:16 I feel like I have to share my thoughts in case someone can agree with me on this. My disliking for zoink is not that he is good, but its his flailing pretentious Ego. The work and dedication off having as many top levels as possible is a cool one to have, but not when it affects the majority. Levels like Tidal wave and acheron is ok to buff. They are meant as top 1s, and their quality is most defined by their dominant and intimidating nature. Avernus, I don’t really blame zoink because that awful gameplay was originaly ruined by the desperation and pathetic nature of pocke windfish. But not Nullscapes, I don’t think that was the innitial intent of kiba, although he definately was ok with it, but this level was SO CLOSE to being great! But when every simple jump is a frame perfect and not those stand out cool gimicks like the orbs that change it ruins the gameplay. Nullscapes would be tight no matter what, but the change from a top 20 to a top 3 really is just a scummy way of blocking off others not in your skill bracket from playing it. I will not comment on the very alleged comments from people who knows him that told me he is a dickhead in call because that I have no knowledge off, but I have heard its bad, and I mean I won’t say that I doubt it considering his frequent comments on other players skill in the game, like calling black blizzard and ‘easy’ extreme. Althoug it deffinately falls in a more easier tepier these days its still on a high level in the middle. And honestly the comment came across in a more spitefull and heckling way. Having an offensive personality is not too bad, but its far more impactful when carrying one of the most looked up uppon titles as top player in this game. Again, its a shame. I was looking for nullscapes as an endgoal back in the day. I recently have been getting nice progress on cold sweat after finding out its relatively fun for its difficulty. So I thought “maybe a super hard sequel to my favorite level in the game will be a nice end goal in a few years” but that likely wont happen now, for how unfun doing these pretentious frame perfects over and over again is.
