Seeing Britannia 500 times still makes me smile, as the search continues and you keep finding those great coins and supplying us all with some great collector information! I hope you managed to complete your own album as well, or otherwise find some upgrades! Very generous to give away all and am looking forward to the next!
Great hunt! Nice to see Britannia again in all her glory. Made me think back to the pennies I had as a kid (still in an album somewhere) and which dates I might have to fill gaps on the board! The Prince Edward token was an interesting Cinderella! Had me hitting Dr. Google there as well. Cheers!
Many thanks for the Farthing coin hunt - will have to look back at previous ones. I started collecting again after finding part of my late fathers penny collection and bought a couple of small coin albums containing Farthings and Half Pennies. Have a full date run (and filled the old Albums up with duplicates) but have not looked at variants yet - so 1864 was really interesting to see. Hope you can complete the board !
Nice one! Always enjoy your videos. Oddly, I quite like 1967 Britannia, year I was born! At a guess I 'd think the dates on the Canadian tokens were the years they became provinces?
Thanks Paul, I felt your enthusiasm dip as the first couple of '67s passed through your fingers but fortunately it picked up a bit later even though they continued to appear. Anyway it's cool to see Britannia still is a Metal Guru after all these years.
I have lots of pennies and Canadian tokens you have given me more information on pennies I have een collecting since I was 12years old I am now 70. Real educated in what to look for in my pennies I collect all coins and foreign coins
Brittania. Was watching on my smart tv. I got onto iPad to be sure and subscribe. I picked up very many of these and half pennies the other day in Indianapolis. My oldest is 1877. BTW. Metal Guru! I am also a TRex fan. Cheers from Vincennes, Indiana.
(Edit: I'm going to have to say Britannia because you've brought back some wonderful memories and I'd like to finish my collection!) Oh wow, this brings back memories. We went through bags and bags of these with my great grandad to find one from each year, the ones we didn't want got disposed, we didn't look for anything fancy like recessed ears or other details. I wish we could go through them all again! Just thought I'd add I still have them all and all of the other coins I collected, I've just decided to start going through them after decades in storage. The nostalgia is too strong I've gone and dug them out. Thank you for the memories.
Quite a fair result for 500 with loads of 1967's. It's really interesting to see how the figure of Britannia has remained on our coins from almost the start of British coin history to the present day. Also metal Guru's seems like a long time ago haha.
as i think i said before in one of your previous penny hunts, its inspired me to check out some old tins of pennies thast my dad and grandad had collected. some good finds including 10 x 1918 pennies. 8 with the KN mint mark and 2 with the H mint mark. 1 x 1919 KN Mint mark.. better get checking all the rest
Fantastic Paul. An epic video, but not too long for the Metal Gurus 😉 My favourite Britannia out of all of these has to be the 1892 lighthouse as it was the year Newcastle United was formed. ⚽️ I’d love to own one of those, i think it would actually be the oldest coin my collection.
I don’t know how you remember all the differences with the old penny’s high tide low tide on the Britannia etc. I need to free up more time to watch your videos! I always enjoy them and I don’t mind the long length of this video. Keep posting.
New to the channel, love seeing the old Britannia coins, I've got some 1966 coins from my birth year, but amazed at how long they were minted for before decimalisation took over.
Quite a few penny dates that I don't have. The Britannia is a great design. We are all Metal Gurus! 😁 but being a 20th Century Boy, I love to Boogie 🕺🏻😂. That 1844 halfpenny or 1/26th of a shilling may be worth a bit.
500 glorious Britannias with some foreign oddities thrown in as well. Glad we did get to see a nice date run and I would say not an insane amount of 1967s so we did get some variety, and a very nice video as always.
I love these penny hunt, Question Do you collect the silver Britannia 1oz coins, I have a full set of them......And i love to be able to get a PDF of your coin mats And yes i did watch to the end you Metal Guru....😂😂
Quite a lot of the board filled 😁 . Great 1916 recessed ear, broken bead Britannia and loved the Jersey 26th of a shilling 👌. Metal Guru is it you CP ? 🤔😁.
Another super video and definitely not too long. Perhaps Britannia will be persuaded to make a proper coinage comeback under Charles III (or should that be George VII after what he allegedly said in an interview in the Times many years ago?). Sadly, though, I can remember when Metal Guru was first released as a single in 1972 - 50 years ago!! Statistics (if anyone is interested!): There were 522 'coins', including the tokens, Irish, halpennies etc. - Average coins found per year of reign when coins were minted: Victoria: 2.2; Edward VII: 6.3; George V: 6.5; George VI: 5.1; Elizabeth II: 19.1. Commonest years and percentages: Victoria: 1900 (15), 17.5%; Edward VII: 1907 (15), 11.4%; George V: 1919 (15), 28.5%; George VI: 1938 (11), 12.2%; Elizabeth II: 1967 (Unsurprisingly!) (76), 30.5%
Even though I did not watch this live it was a most enjoyable hour and a quarter. And coins seemed to be so much better when Brittania ruled the waves.
Another fantastic pre-decimal penny search. Fantastic. I always thought Britannia was a beautiful design on the coins (better than the new design on the modern 2 pound coins).
I can watch your penny videos all day long. I think it's filling the boards that's addictive. I'm lucky enough to pick pre-decimals so I'm sitting out. 😎🍀💜
As kids in the early 50's we were always looking for Honolulu pennies. You just had one dated 1992. It is the trident on Britannia and it was resting on her lulu. They must have moved it later after complaints😮😢 Tom O'Neill
I did 😊at the 1873 (& 1949 & 1870) tokens - from what I can see is a 1965-8 Shell Oil Token! Still, I like the Britannia designs! I have a few acquired recently too!
500 Pre-Decimal Pennies! I can safely say that I've never seen Britannia show up that many times in a single video. 🤣 Newly subscribed , by the way, great stuff.
The Prince Edward Island is a Shell Oil Token produced between 1965 and 1968. They were given out with the purchase of a tank of gasoline. There were numerous different designs.
Another fantastic video and a pretty impressive haul for 500 Britannia penny's, the Canadian tokens are quite interesting, would love to know more about them, did you notice the counter stamped penny in the last few coins?
We enjoyed every minute of the hunt as usual mate. To watch you search through these beautiful old coins is a joy. Brittania rules the waves Coin patrol rules the coin tubers
Great video, you’ve found a good variations of Britannia! (😊) I’ve seen that there is a 1970 pre-decimal penny too, is that a commemorative only or was that released into circulation?
Well, well, well, the Metal Guru aka Paul has persevered through another 500 pennies, most of them depicting Britannia in one form or another. Considering the number looked through, you found quite a lot of different dated pennies along with a host of foreign coins & tokens. Thanks for sharing.
The 1873 Canadian / Canada Prince Edward Island Lady’s Slipper Brass Medal Coin appears to have been released in 1973 as 100 year celebration from what I can find online
A nice long video to have playing in the background whilst doing some coin roll hunting myself. I found a pretty rare NIFC 50 euro cent coin! :D Also I would love to win those so: Britannia!
Seeing Britannia 500 times still makes me smile, as the search continues and you keep finding those great coins and supplying us all with some great collector information!
I hope you managed to complete your own album as well, or otherwise find some upgrades! Very generous to give away all and am looking forward to the next!
Your old penny hunts are one of my favourites so having a hunt for over an hour was bliss. Thank you. 👍😊
Great hunt! Nice to see Britannia again in all her glory. Made me think back to the pennies I had as a kid (still in an album somewhere) and which dates I might have to fill gaps on the board! The Prince Edward token was an interesting Cinderella! Had me hitting Dr. Google there as well. Cheers!

Only just spotted (24:02) a really nice 1908 Edward VII.
Nice one! Always enjoy your videos. Oddly, I quite like 1967 Britannia, year I was born! At a guess I 'd think the dates on the Canadian tokens were the years they became provinces?

Love to see all of the Britannia pennies Paul. My favorite videos you do.Thanks..... (Metal Guru)

Britannia! You worked really hard in this extra-length video! I really enjoyed it - thank you. 🙂
Quite a fair result for 500 with loads of 1967's. It's really interesting to see how the figure of Britannia has remained on our coins from almost the start of British coin history to the present day. Also metal Guru's seems like a long time ago haha.
All I said was that bit of halibut was good enough for Britannia!
Always love the penny searches, bud!

They should show this in cinemas Brittania on the big screen!!!
BRITANNIA!

Love these penny hunts … not quite 500 Britannia’s but close enough 😂. You are very correct, you are a metal guru 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
keep up the good work hunting out all those elusive Britannias. i have learnt so much from your commentaries.
500 glorious Britannias with some foreign oddities thrown in as well. Glad we did get to see a nice date run and I would say not an insane amount of 1967s so we did get some variety, and a very nice video as always.
Love to see all these Britannias. The metal guru is as informative as ever, also love those foreign coins you find

Great video. Love the different variety of Britannia penny coins.

Only one 1949 penny in the batch and no 1930. Are there any varieties known in these dates?
I really love going thru old coins and finding a good looking Britannia coin. Awesome lot you had there.
Another fab video Paul 👍 I like watching the longer ones. Would like to see the Britannia design on the new definitive coins
Excellent video as always, Britannia is certainly an iconic effigy onthe reverse of British coins especially the penny, nice one
A nice spread there. Don’t know what it is about the Britannia design that gets me going but I love these old pennies.
This was a great video to have next to me while I was working thanks Paul 😊 oh and Britannia 😅
Even though I did not watch this live it was a most enjoyable hour and a quarter. And coins seemed to be so much better when Brittania ruled the waves.
Nice hunt as always! Britannia sitting pretty as ever on these pennies, thanks for the long hunt.👍
Learn a lot about Britannia's that i never knew. Thank you for the lessons Metal Guru.
The Prince Edward Island piece is a token issued by shell oil , there are 13 one for each province.
i feel like the britannia design is so iconic for coinage! lucky you i only have 3 old pennies (1931, 36 and 66)
Metal Garu these 1967 I have loads was the mintage really llarge ?
Great vid. Nice haul of Britannia pennies.
Another fun hunt i really like the Britannia design on the pennies. I also could be considered a metal guru because I'm a T-Rex fan too.
Another fantastic pre-decimal penny search. Fantastic. I always thought Britannia was a beautiful design on the coins (better than the new design on the modern 2 pound coins).
Britannia, Hi Paul great video really liked the mustache error coin 😁, metal guru
Have to ask what do you do with all your excess pennies? Do you just store them or sell them on?
I have a 1918 no mint mark unfortunately but has the ghosting affect . Are they rare or a common fault.? Any help much appreciate
Yet again cracking show being checking all my excess coins befor selling on found a recess ear one thanks to your show lots of infor keep it up
Recently started watching your videos and can’t get enough of them! keep up the good work.
Britannia 😊
I can watch your penny videos all day long. I think it's filling the boards that's addictive. I'm lucky enough to pick pre-decimals so I'm sitting out. 😎🍀💜
Great to see Britannia coins and all the odd ones in the mix. You are definitely the metal guru 😁
As kids in the early 50's we were always looking for Honolulu pennies. You just had one dated 1992. It is the trident on Britannia and it was resting on her lulu. They must have moved it later after complaints😮😢 Tom O'Neill
Also, at (1:03:05) you had a really nice 1920 - they are usually badly worn.
Britania the video was the right length just perfect and your knowledge of coins is amazing thanks
Not a bad haul of Britannia's, considering all the 67's. Thanks for doing these
Britannia, great video as usual. Love the tokens, but was a bit long, but it didn't subtract from the enjoyment
I did 😊at the 1873 (& 1949 & 1870) tokens - from what I can see is a 1965-8 Shell Oil Token!
Still, I like the Britannia designs! I have a few acquired recently too!
Cool hunt. This is one of my favorite Britannia designs.
To the Metal Guru, no Britannias on the Canadian tokens, but the dates are probably marking their conception as states of Canada?
500 Pre-Decimal Pennies! I can safely say that I've never seen Britannia show up that many times in a single video. 🤣 Newly subscribed , by the way, great stuff.
Thanks Jason 👍
A nice spread of Britannia pennies, those tokens look good - my favourite coin this video the Aussie 1929.
The Prince Edward Island is a Shell Oil Token produced between 1965 and 1968. They were given out with the purchase of a tank of gasoline. There were numerous different designs.
Hi Dennis, thanks for the information on the tokens as I'm sure I've had 1 in a bag of world coins some time back. 👍
Love these hunts. Hello from the States
do you just have all of your varities on the side in case if you have to show them?
Another fantastic video and a pretty impressive haul for 500 Britannia penny's, the Canadian tokens are quite interesting, would love to know more about them, did you notice the counter stamped penny in the last few coins?
PENNIES.
Wow those Britannia 1967 sure made a comeback...metal guru
In my opinion Britannia is a good design but the best design is definitely pistrucci's St George slaying the dragon
Found this fascinating to watch. Never realised Britannia was on coins for such a long period
What a treat to find an hour of old pennies hunted through by my favourite youtuber ready to watch in my video list. Greeeeeeeeaaaaat! BRITANNIA RULES
Just discovered your channel, love the vids, and would love to have those brittania penny’s 😄

Brittania rules the waves
Coin patrol rules the coin tubers
Britannia rules the waves! Love the videos, squire.
Those "Odd" coins from Prince Edward Island & Newfoundland, may, (or may not) be "Brothel Tokens"! Similar coins have been found in Australia.
Always happy to see Briitainia on coins love the penny hunts, keep them coming 👍
It's amazing how many people can't spell BRITANNIA!
nice hunt that some lovely coins there 👍👍 well played
Britannia! Very informative videos, thanks.
A whole hunt in one video, great stuff. I wonder if Dave will put Britannia.
One of the easiest ways I find to spot the 1926ME, is the earlier version has B.M. on the truncation, whereas the ME version has BM
Also, the B.M. is a lot clearer than the modified BM!
Brittania... Great penny hunt enjoyed it
So love Britania and always look forward to your videos.
I'm from Texas and love British coins though don't get many here! Britannia!!
Great video, you’ve found a good variations of Britannia! (😊)
I’ve seen that there is a 1970 pre-decimal penny too, is that a commemorative only or was that released into circulation?
The 1970 penny was only issued as a proof quality coin for collectors, I'm afraid
Well, well, well, the Metal Guru aka Paul has persevered through another 500 pennies, most of them depicting Britannia in one form or another. Considering the number looked through, you found quite a lot of different dated pennies along with a host of foreign coins & tokens. Thanks for sharing.
Not being an expert, I enjoy your videos, but what about 1967 coins? Oh and just to mention Britannia
Paul really enjoyed watching this longer video, saves waiting for part 2 { BRITANNIA } Thank you, Pipetree
Britannia , You love the 1967’s really lol
Great search my friend. Great Britannia hunt
Britannia! There is a Prince Edward Island medallion currently listed on eBay. Listed for £23 or best offer.
The 1873 Canadian / Canada Prince Edward Island Lady’s Slipper Brass Medal Coin appears to have been released in 1973 as 100 year celebration from what I can find online
Rule Britannia I do like these penny hunts your knowledge is mind blowing
Britannias slipper? Another good watch
Always fun to watch a hunt!
A nice long video to have playing in the background whilst doing some coin roll hunting myself. I found a pretty rare NIFC 50 euro cent coin! :D
