I have 2 solix units and one helix unit on my boat, I get so tired of waiting for the solix I turn on the helix and am fishing, take a nap, fix lunch and then the solix is ready
I do and I am searching for my sd card right now 👊 I also have the live 2 on order already, we have ice here so it will be ready for spring or a trip south.
Good work, thanks for video. pls. with next video try to compare ML1 and new ML2. Just to see the difference between them. Of course the most interesting is forward range, especially to the distance to see the bait. Waiting for the next video.
Great video. I need to update mine now. Can't you update it through the One Boat Network app? Question, how did you get rid of the interference with your 360 and ML at the bow? Every time I use both of mine together, the screens become messy and you see those lines. Does your ML have a mask? Thx!
Great question, glad you asked! It’s much quicker to use the SD card and install manually. App will work under good Wifi conditions. But for this update it only mentions an SD card on Humminbird’s website. No need for the mask, that’s used for if you are getting double image returns from your lure for example. Let’s try this… Adjustments: Make sure your MEGA 360 and MEGA LIVE beams are not too close to each other. Start with adjusting your MEGA 360 first since it’s easier to move the shaft up and down. Graph: Find your Noise Filter Settings And turn it down by 1 until you see the results you like. Mines is set to one on the Helix. Voltage / Wire: Power Cable: Check ground wire, there’s a shield wire that needs to be grounded as well. Make sure your voltage is clean and steady at 12v -13v
@@dlpeckfishing Thanks for the prompt response. I will definitely try those tips. To bad I live in CO, probably can't try this till spring :( Tight lines!
@@dlpeckfishing did you download the accessory software as well? I'm not running the MegaliveV1 but I'm looking to purchase the new V2. do I need to download the V1 Megalive and the Target lockV1 before I can connect/run the V2?
So it looks like everything, including accessories, is packed into version 5.060. I'd suggest grabbing the file and following the instructions to make sure everything's installed right. Don't forget, this update is only for the SOLIX Generation 3 (G3) models.
I hate how people keep saying the xplore is gonna replace the solix. Humminbird emailed me yesterday and specifically said that it is not replacing the solix and they dont plan on discontinuing the solix any time soon.
Yeah, I hear the confusion about the XPLORE. However, SOLIX G3 works with XPLORE & APEX on the same network. It's not clear why folks are tripping up on that. Thanks for connecting with Humminbird and getting that cleared up.
@dlpeckfishing People are mainly upset about the Helix. The majority of humminbird owners had the helix. Yea, I had to know if I was gonna have to sell my Solix and get an Apex. I haven't had my Solix a year yet so I was a little worried. I'm still making payments on it so it would have really bothered me. Lol I had to ask them.
I have on my own a Mega live 1 and fished with a friend a lot, that has a ls34. To be honest with those settings used in the video, the fish look like crap compared to LS34 not gona lie... If i do the upgrade, I will buy a Ls34
You know what, I really appreciate your feedback! It might seem like a small thing, but trust me, it actually makes a huge difference for some users. The comment right before yours even mentioned how important this detail is. That said, the new menu and navigation are really top-notch - big thumbs up for that! Very easy to use once you install the update and start navigating as I done in some of the menus in the video. Tight Lines!
@@dlpeckfishing Thanks for getting back to me. One more thing. Can you change the chirp sonar frequencies on advanced mode ? I like to change my side frequence to 1.000-1.050 I don't see it in the new manual book online. Thanbks
You’re welcome! It appears you will be able to. Check out the Quick Reference Guide instead (on page 5). Scroll until you see Sonar Views. It states that you can change the frequencies based on the transducer installed.
Outstanding video on the new interface! Going now to find your Mega Live after update video!
Thanks for checking it out! Glad you liked the video, and good luck with your update if you have a Solix as well.

Nice work mate.
When are you getting the new Mega Live 2?
It's due to arrive in Australia in January.
Thanks! I’m not sure yet. Supposedly sometime to arrive in January for the US as well.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. In the video, I'm using the default settings with the first generation MEGA LIVE.
who cares about the boot up time. How dos the new update work ? settings ? is it easy to get around in the new software ?

Lvs34 for me hummingbird screwed a bunch of people with this new line up
It sucks, but some Humminbird users are feeling that way.
