Thank you Sarlina. This experience was so rich for me because I had never heard Dolly's song and did not know the true meaning behind it. And of course seeing her perform it was everything. Not easy at all to sing a capella. I m sitting at the edge of my chair, listening with some apprehension, and i stopped breathing during her eternal intro. Angelina can, easily at a glance, switch from the rich, low voice of a tenor to the powerful and high tone of a soprano. That is, for me, the fine line in which she demonstrates, at such a young age, her superiority, her dominance over other singers. Obviously, Dolly uses her finest vocal qualities each time she sings angelically and Whitney was and remains the american best female singer of all time. But it seems to me that they both sings all their songs with their recognizable voice. I see Angelina more than a young talented and gifted singer: she is a versatile vocal artist and a charismatic spirit. Maybe that is the reason why she connects with a part of me that is opened, willing, uninhibited and always free and ready to the stirring up of the tears, while others do not, at all, even if, with an unbridled fascination, they fill me with admiration, wonderment and applause. Just messing around with some songs with Egil, and she says let's do a Whitney song. Then when see starts, the song takes over her body, and she becomes the song. Watch her hands, eyes, and body movement. She's actually living the lyrics to this song. But wait---she's 12 years old with no real life experience of this depth. Then she finishes and releases the song from her body, and returns to being a 12 year old---big smile and a wave "bye". I find it beyond explanation how she can do this. Angelina is one of a kind. Someone in Angelina's house when she was a baby must have loved this song and played it a lot. because the I Love You part was the first thing Angelina sang at a year and a half. She must have heard it a lot.
Obviously I am biased to Angelina. Technically it’s not perfect. But What makes it best is she is 11. ELEVEN!! She emotes words like no one her age can. Angelina is a very loving person we know. But she isn’t old enough to understand being broken hearted but somehow she does and we sure believe it while she pours her heart and soul into her performance. Then she is done, smiles, says Bye, and becomes a kid again. Wow.
Maybe we are born with the whole set of emotions! It's just insane the way she is connected with them, is able to convey and share them with her voice and expression. This rehearsal is perhaps one of the best demonstrations of Angelina's incredible voice. To start out acapella, and be pitch perfect, alone is enough. The incredible synergy between Angelina and Egil is also quite evident. He's been with her since, well, since forever. Dolly wrote this song as a way of saying goodbye when leaving the Porter Wagoner Show in '74.
Engil with her after right after she graduated from Norway he’s got talent. I’ve been together till she left to go to Los Angeles. Yeah, I have Ivan Mendes plays for her now. While she’s in Los Angeles, California, working for the record company and doing charity events, she went back to Norway a concert. She’s going to Japan to do a concert release an album in this year.

Ever since I first heard Dolly Parton sing it, I've often wondered how a singer can get through this song without himself or herself just breaking down, choking up, and crying from their own emotions that they obviously inject into it. Because that's sure what it does to me and many others.
The thing that grabbed me from the first time I heard her was her capacity for conveying emotion in her singing. That certainly comes through here. The other thing is her amazing feel for timing and her jazz influence. That's not so evident in this performance but that was an artistic choice that makes sense for this song. My only small criticism is an equipment one. Not sure if it's the mike or the preamp but there's some overmodulation there. Her later vids have better equipment which properly highlight her voice.
I first heard her sing jazz when she was 8 years old and was completely mesmerized and blown away. And now 6 years later, she continues to do the same thing, but even better.
I like alot, most jordan songs, but this is a great job, and just the guitar was great, her interpretations of songs are scary good because she seems to channel the original spirit of the song, with stripped down orchestrations and then puts on her own spin to the vocal interpretation.
Again I am so sad I found you so late. I grew up over the mountains from Dolly. My Mother was so angry with Porter for taking Dolly's work at the professional breakup.
