I remember the first time I heard this wondering why I knew the lyrics but did not recognize the song. It did take me to the verse to smack my forehead and go damn why didn't I think of this. I would rather listen to this than the original any day. Maybe it's because the original was so overplayed in my youth. But I think they actually did a better job than Maiden with the material. For those of you who know who current 93 is it kind of has that same thing going for it it's much more mysterious and scary sounding played this way. Real pagans would listen to this. Not Iron Maiden.
