I was cruising home in my shitbox Civic when one of these lined up with me.
I downshifted and gave'r my all but he still pulled bus lengths on me at 90mph.
Bitchin' car.
Nice job as always. Totally forgot about these, loved them when they came out. The interior literally feels like you are in a yacht.
Sounds amazing, and tbh i wish jaguar still produced the xj 🔥
Now thats a gorgeous car! That shape is neautifull ❤
And this one sounds mean. I love it
That 5.0 AJ V8 sounds every bit, as mean as a Coyote...! A tiny bit too loud for me, but very VERY nice work here...!
it has a coyote block with Coventry-built heads
These always sound better with 2 xpipes
@@mstroik7462 I could agree with that...!
@@A_Scanner_Lightly It has a Jaguar block with Bridgend-built heads.
Yes but i would definitely have to install some valves tho. I just wouldn't want that sound all the time.
Sounds so good!
Very nice car and actually sounds good with just pipes and no instruments to make any melody! 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
Nice work! 🔨👊🏻😎 Sounds okay.
Sounds glorious
Not gonna lie, the Jag AJ 5.0 V8 is one of the best sounding out there. The exhaust of a V8 F-Type is sooooo good! This one may be too raspy and the snap, crackle, and pop may not be befitting of such a beautiful luxury sedan, BUT a good set of high-flow mufflers is all that is missing.
Needed the mid resonators at least. Vibrant time
It doesn’t just have to look good it can sound good too
Ooooooooooh she sound gooood i want that car
Meowwwwww Beasttttt Modeeeeee
I have the exact car, different color, but how much would this cost to do?
🔥
This is so cool. I own a 2015 XJ 5.0 SC with only 15k miles on it. I'm interested in some more sound but not as drastic as the car in this video. What are my options, leave the resonators and remove the mufflers or leave the mufflers and remove the resonators?
Honestly you'd probably have to mess around and find what fits best for you, even if it means taking and adding new parts till you get the sound you're looking for🤷
Remove mufflers ,keep resonators
How much it cost to straight pipe just got my Supercharged XJL yesterday
Hey it seems like it's 80 ish dollars to delete mufflers and about 70 to delete the resonator
@@punisher3607 youre lost
Hi I have the same car. Please tell me how much this cost. I will come to tennesee :)
These always sound better with 2 xpipes
I just bought a 2013 XJL Supercharged. That 2011 Jag is actually on 385 hp, not 510hp. The Jag XF Supercharged is 510 hp. The Jag XJ's 5.0 started out at 385, then 2012-15 went to 470 hp. Now the XJR is @ 550 hp.
Its a supercharged XJ.. not base model. So it is pushing 510.
@@twainskiii810 no, I have one and it's 470 hp. The XF models were 510 hp. I wish it was 510 lol.
@@MrPesante2008 ohh damn my fault g, u damn near pushing that tho. Mine’s base so it’s just 385 😕
@@twainskiii810 yeah u must have the 2011 right? I almost bought a 2016 XJR with 550 hp. Didn't want that high ass monthly note though lol
XJ 2011 supercharged super sport model comes with 510 BHP 650 Nm torque
Not bad. Not a fan of the popping in decel. Strange to here a Jag roar like that.
Lets not get confused with catback straight pipe and straight pipe!
😮
It still has catalytic converters 😂 IT’S NOT STRAIGHT PIPED 😂
What does the numbers in garage represent? Why he excited about 114?
Sound decibels
@@exhaustaddicts thanks
Are they reliable though?
Yes.
way too loud and raspy now, needs an H pipe towards the rear and some small mufflers
Don’t it throw codes ?
Naw the cats are still on so it shouldn’t throw a CEL
They were great when Ford made them.
Exactly, I had one of these 70k miles, used to take it in for check ups, never had any problems with it, sold it because was way too expensive to maintain.
But they got way better once Tata bought Jaguar and actually invested in it's models.
They were shit when Ford touched them😂😂
So what is it? Never had a easy but had to sell it because you couldn’t afford maintenance? I mean if it never had a issue maintenance isn’t that expensive
@@TheRealLemongrabI was considering buying one of these but regular maintenance is expensive ?
Why
Can you say drone? 😅
Like a mutha, but you gotta start somewhere. He can add some nice mufflers back to the system once he figures out what does and doesn't like....
That shit oh smoke a scat huh 🤔
It’s down 100 hp ona scat and definitely heavier it’s a luxury limousine not a muscle car
I own at 2012. It will smoke a scat.
I own a 2013 we definitely smokin the scat
@@thatcarpage707u looking at the base model 😂 not the supercharged or supersport. i got supersport and i gap scats 😂
Jaguar/LR AJV8 is the greatest modular/cross-plane V8 ever built. BTW, The block is from a Coyote, the rest (heads, cam profiles, etc) is finished by Coventry England 🏴
They are completely different blocks. The development of the Jaguar AJ V8 started before Ford took over Jaguar. And the DOHC Ford Modular V8 (from which the Coyote is derived) was in very early development around the time it purchased Jaguar in 1989. As such, the bore spacing (which is one way you can tell whether engines are related or not) is completely different. The Coyote/Modular engine has a 100mm bore spacing, while the AJ V8 has a smaller 98mm bore spacing. Another way you can tell they're not related? Ford sold Jaguar in 2008. The 5.0-liter Jag V8 came out 18 months later. The only Jaguars with a Ford block are powered by the AJ-V6 which is a Ford Duratec V6 block with Jaguar's own-designed direct-acting mechanical bucket (DAMB) cylinder head. The only Fords with a Jaguar block are the Ford Thunderbird and Lincoln LS which uses a Jaguar AJ-V8 block with unique crank, pistons, and connecting rods to achieve the 3.9 liter displacement. What IS true is that the Jaguar AJ133 V8 is among the greatest V8s of all time, on that we can agree.
A little too much for this car
You guys obviously had to do a software update? As the car most likely won’t run right without that being done?
