I tour monumental DAMIEN HIRST exhibition at CHATEAU LA COSTE, Provence

Damien Hirst, one of the world’s top selling contemporary artists has put together what might be his most breathtaking show ever done in the incredible natural surrounds of Chateau La Coste in Provence, France.
‘The Light that Shines’ exhibition is bold and monumental with all of his iconic themes included. Chateau La Coste is a remarkable luxury estate near to the famous village of Aix-en-Provence which houses a huge array of artworks as well as vineyards, two hotels and multiple restaurants by famous chefs including Helene Darroze and Francis Mallman. The buildings on the estate are designed by architects including Tadao Ando, Richard Rogers and Frank Gehry.

this was fun to watch. i used to live in the village nearby and go sometimes to buy wine at the Lacoste cave. none of the hotels, artwork and the rest existed back then. they have come a long way. by the way, i would hardly call Aix-en-Provence a village, it's a good sized town. and i recommend hôtel de Caumont art center there. they have very good exhibitions in a spectacular old town house, hôtel privé in the heart of the Mazarin quarter, a must see! thank you for this nostalgic trip!
