Agreed! Not because I don't like Ariah's voice; quite the opposite. But Ariah has this lovely richness and resonance that I thought wasn't a good fit for this song, compared to the saccharine sweetness of the original singer. But by the middle, I was like "you know, for a rock cover, this actually works really well!" Kudos to both of them!

Soken is a madman in the best possible way. I mean... take "To The Edge," "Scream," "Flow," and then something like this. Would you even think they all came from the mind of the same man? He is a freaking genius and force of nature. And props to Husky and all his collaborators who channel that genius and insanity. :)
Yea pretty sure couple expansion ago he already has many students who would also work for ffxiv music, though im very curious in who work on which pieces this time, this expansion really brought a huge range of different music genre into one soundtrack album😂

Why does this go so much harder than the original? I haven’t heard her before, but Ariah’s voice is so perfect for this song, it captures the sweet lilting singing style and the demanding agressive lyrics so well. The vibrato is so good!!
