Bless you brother! In my book, Derek and Susan are some of the greatest to ever do it. I love this song… and it only demonstrates part of what they do! 🤯
David, Look up Toy Caldwell from the original Marshall Tucker band . Never used a pick except when he played the Pedal Steel . Fastest picker of his generation which was the early 70s up till his passing in 1993
@@paullevine1813 Not nowadays there is faster players out there now. But not many play in open E. Check people like Andy Woods/Guthrie Govan/ Tom Qualye . A whole new generation of guitar players have superseded our older heroes , but Derek Is unique, He plays in an open tuning, Tom Quayle is unique because he plays in with guitar tuned to fourths,
Thank you Fran,, great video and audio work👍 I love this version, starting with afro blue and the horns, then derek's solo, susan singing, great bass solo, perfect
Weergaloos.

Fuggin A Right!! Maybe the best comment I've ever read on youtube.

Derek drives the TTB roaring down the tracks for a full 16 minutes with Susan adding the sprinkles on top.
Thanks Fran! Excellent soloing by Derek and the bassist!
They are the best band in the world. It's not even close
Going to see them in August. I've never seen them. Very excited. Years ago saw Susan with the Other Ones.
You will love their live vibe....
Have a blast...🎼
@@francesemaline Thanks.
Thanks 4 the post, been a couple yrs for me. haven't made it north of the border for a while to see us! Cheers
The beginning reminds me of Frank Zappa's style, really outstanding guitar work
Straight from the Zappa guitar book circa 71/74 and not forgetting that classic Gibson SG sound ..spot on dude !!
@@David-lt7kl Or straight outta Coltrane ;)
Great video....thankyou thankyou 🙏
When it drops down and Derek uses the volume knobs.....that sound is incredible
Slammin!! I need to see them live again!
Dam! Susan bringing the ATTITUDE! Love it! Saw them 8/24/22 in oregon and they did this but she didn't have quite that much attitude🙂
Mind blowingly incredible!!!
What a show! Played for 3 1/2 hours and the audience never sat down.
Excellent show! I never sat down...

What the Allman Brothers did at Fillmore East raised to perfection. The whole band lives and breathes together. I love it.
But the Allmans were perfection. can't argue that.
@@squeakeththewheelYou're right: of course they were! TTB are a new and different kind of perfection.

Pure magic!!
So fricking fantastic. Amazing!
AFRO BLUE ❤
I'm about as agnostic as they come, but (sorry 'bout this) listening to Susan sing Shame is like a semi-religious experience.
Fire! Thanks for this.
❤
Afro-Blue
crazy build
When Derek has his eyes closed @ 9:13 he is really getting into it.
this is what happens when you take a slide players slide....😁
LMFAO. That's hilarious :)
Wait a minute, I think this is Jazz. Momma don't allow no Jazz playin in this house. What has Derek been listening too?
ha ha ha !
Jazz-Rock
Coltrane.
@johngoodman find his interview with Rick beatto and you'll learn what he's been listening too.

Same Derek hides them with blue jeans,
