Back in 18/19 when Klopp was playing that "heavy metal football", teams didn't quite know how to deal with the adaptation of Klopp's gegenpressing. After years of success, opposition teams study our style of play and now years later, Klopp's tactics (and heavy usage of energy from players in every game) has been found out. They drop deep and wait to counter on that RIDICULOUS HIGH LINE and have a high chance of scoring using using speedy players. We have conceded on the counter so many times now, it's so fragile. Something needs to change.
We need a total rethink of our tactics. There was a time Jose tactics at chelsea were unstoppable an Benitez. However eventually teams evolve and they become ineffective. I hope klopp can adapt.

I hate this idea of always needing to change the lineup from match to match. Modern players are fine-tuned to the nth degree and they either break or are exhausted after one match. Yes we have aging players but what happened to the idea of keeping a winning team? That confidence and form comes from knowing your best 11 and stcking to them. Liverpool have had teams in the past that played virtually every game of a season without all the chopping and changing. Modern training methods are at the root of all the injuries players suffer, very few are due to challenges.
Thing is we have been getting so many injuries through overworking the players. All these niggling muscle strains etc are purely overuse. Notice the worst players are guaranteed starters and never get subbed. Salah, vvd, trent, fab, robbo. The old fashioned style used to work when we only played on Saturdays and weds but nowadays we'll have sat morning Tues night, Sunday, Tuesday etc there's no time for training or recovery. Why have man city dominated the long game prem if you only need a good starting 11?

The only way to reduce injuries now would actually be to reduce squad sizes, because that would force clubs to train at a less intense level. We have so many substitutes now simply to allow clubs the use players to braeking point. Reduce squad sizes, reduce substitutes and get back to some sort of sanity.

There should be a new rule to how to pay players; get paid based on your weekly performance rating. E.G. Salah had poor performance and his rating was 4, therefore he gets 40% of his weekly pay. That’s the only way you can push them to give it all hey have

Trent is flourishes in his unique position if the midfield covers him, but with this midfield and Hendersons diminished role it makes Trent more defensive which isn’t his strength, we know this. Look at his assists. This can only happen with cover. Trent’s an amazing unique right back. Don’t forget

I differ with you on Carvalho not playing. He is looking more like Minamino, too soft and not physical. He need to bulk up and display his skills as Elliot and Bajcetic are doing, else he may just be another Jones or Minamino, pushed to sub bench and eventually sold to a mid table team. I like him, he is skillful and could be a new (old) Courtinho, but he has to earn his time on the field. No free lunch!

One thing, Klopp hates skillful midfielders. Fabinho turned unskillful. He goes with Ox and Jones who are not skillful. Keita is always injured, should exit, but he used to attack with skill once upon a time. Other skilled players were treated badly - Minamino, Carvalho.
Salah's penalty miss may have cost us the Top 4. Trent's attitude needs to change. Both Trent and Salah need serious competition for their positions. Salah needs a Watkins and Trent needs someone like Reece James to teach him how to defend and overlap
What angered me the most about this performance and result is that it was completely and utterly predictable. I knew we were going to lose, there was nothing surer in my mind after that 7-0 win that we were going to piss all over our shoes against the bottom club, which has happened what, 3 times this season?
