West Indian shown are Viv Richards the most famous and destructive batsman of that era. He had a different aura about hmself and played veryvfearlessly like the sehwags and gayles or pants of this generations. The other famous WI guy that I recognised was the legendary 2-time world cup winning WI captain Clive Loyd with that big Glasses.
I really like Ranveer look and voice, he sounded like young Kapil (for most part).. Hopefully it will be good 🤞

Naturally, everyone's waiting for Ranveer Singh and Pankaj Tripathi, but watch out for Jiiva, because from the trailer, it looks like an impeccable portrayal of the voice and accent of Kris Srikkanth, the guy with the face twitch, who was one of the two men who actually won us the final, the other being Madan Lal. Also, Lagaan was inspired by nothing. It's pure fiction. There's nothing historical about it apart from the Brits.

In those days the bowlers of West Indies were called "BLACK STORM" & at that time India defeated invincible West Indies 2 times in that 83 world cup but nowadays WI have no good bowler left.. I am from india but i love the way & flow of hitting their shot is unbelievable.. They should do a lot more work on their bowlers.

It seems okay but not up to my standards, you need to spend time on movie's, but these guys make movie's like 1400 per year, that's over 3per day, they make films in their sleep 💤😴. Best wishes to all bro. Take care of yourself and your family's 💖.
The voice is a Big Mismatch !
The mannerisms, bowling action and celebrations of Kapil Dev have been nicely aced by Ranveer but sadly the voice he couldn't. The English accent in the commentary was also not to the point. It didn't evoke the kind of goosebumps which it should have done with an epic triumph like that of 1983. I just hope Kabir Khan has not cut corners while making this one.
