Both Matt Reeves and Paul Dano have confirmed that the Riddler Year One prequel comic IS canon. This isn't another Arkhamverse scenario where the comics ain't. That comic makes Edward's downfall into a serial killer more heartbreaking.

interestingly I find myself in a different camp, my most beloved part of The Batman was all the detective and case work he did. I liked seeing Batman as a detective primarily instead of just being an awesome fighter; i think its an aspect that people pay lip service but rarely commit to.
The suit looks fine. It's not the greatest suit in Arkham Knight but it's good for a Christmas gift for an 8 year old game

I believe that a second viewing of the film will address every criticism. Compared to his other contemporaries,this Riddler is more edgy and sinister because he was influenced by Batman, thats why Catwoman eventually goes after Falcone, because Batman inspired her. Batman eventually understanding his error since he's a lighthouse of vengeance ;the ending also demonstrates this, as does the scene in the prison. Batman is THE issue and THE origin of mayhem in the film, which is why it is titled THE Batman. You are acting as though it doesn't matter by claiming that the finale is the only best part of the film, even though it is the reason the movie worked and flowed well.
Since we are meant to be viewing the film from Batman's point of view -which is why it is named The Batman-we don't care about the Riddler because the movie doesn't want you to (if you to feel feel bad for him, read the Paul Dano comics, they're really fantastic, and canon).thats why Batman termed the Riddler a luntaic, which is a defense mechanism how us /human being would respond when you trying to deny you are the reason of everything. i think you should watch the movie again, re-tell it properly and finally you can titled the video "lore".
The neck collar is reminiscent of the ‘40’s version of the character, which I think was used in the first Batman serial around that time.

He was at odds with the police only gordon liked him. And long Halloween batman which was also year 2 mostly was focused on detective work. As well as his relationship with gordon was established there too along with his relationship to pre two face harvey dent
I really enjoyed Matt Reeves The Batman 2022 I thought it was very well made film and Robert Pattinson nailed the role as Bruce Wayne/Batman. I loved the black eye make-up, the sports car styled Batmobile, the new Batcave, the new take on Wayne Manor etc. The serial killer take on The Riddler was very creepy and terrifying. The Batman over all was phenomenal!

I love the skin personally. I think with Batman 2 they should do either clayface or hush. Clayface I think should be played by Brendan Fraser as I think he would do well in the role. I would like him to "play" multiple characters throughout the film and have the monster form in the third act of the film. Should have this happen in the Reeves or DCU films. I would like hush, just as they're doing this whole thing of he's going to maybe be Bruce Wayne more and be more of a hopeful symbol and realize he can do more as both personas. I think hush or Tommy would be an excellent narrative attempt at foiling Bruce's efforts in both his public and private personas. I think that making Bruce second guess having his public persona could be quite interesting to watch! I think it could be cool if someone like stagg enterprises or even gothcorp (could be a great nod to Mr Freeze down the line) who developed the chemicals clayface uses to change into different people as kind of a military technology. If a failing actor was somehow able to get hold of it, maybe he paid a lot of money for a sample or it was an abandoned project and Penguin "acquired" it somehow?
The Battinson suit looks good honestly. Great lore video, Luke Are you gonna watch the Matt Reeves Penguin series that’s coming out next year? Also both Paul Dano and Matt Reeves have officially confirmed that the Riddler year one prequel comics are canon to The Batman movie.

I Love how the suit looks in the snow, i kinda wouldnt mind if Matt Reeves Batman sequel winds up taking place during christmas or december. Especially since Mr Freeze is set to debut in the sequel. Either way im excited and although i havent seen the movie in a bit But i absolutely loved and love the Batman movie with Robert Pattison. He does have the making of being a great batman and maybe one of the best next to Keaton, Conroy, and Affleck and the rest like Bale, West, and Baker.
Those aren't blades on his arms. They're military webbed straps to secure his gauntlets.
Which makes it hysterical when he cuts down light fixtures with them.

Its amazing there's still DLC for this game.
I really enjoy The Batman, but if you boil it all down, Batman may have been an OK detective, but the Riddler accomplished almost everything he set out to do. The only two deaths he didn’t succeed at were Reàl and Wayne. One part was dumb luck (wrong place wrong time) and the other was again dumb luck because, for one, the shooter didn’t get the job done, and two, Gordon saved her.
Great movie, but Batman didn’t actually succeed at anything other than giving the police a leg up on the case and giving Gotham some hope.
Hopefully the sequel will give him the ability to say “because I’m Batman” as a viable response.

To be fair, other acclaimed Batman stories are the same way: like Batman The Long Halloween. Holiday kills everyone they intend to, Batman is led around Gotham, ect. The only difference is Batman in the Matt Reeves movie managed to save the new mayor and countless other civilians from Riddler's flood.

@@Maikigai yea that's because riddler was well prepared for all of it this is year two batman vs a riddler who basically put all his thought into destroying the corruption in Gotham in terrible ways being inspired by batman but taking steps way further then batman so of course he failed to complete the puzzle bc he just wasn't seeing it the way riddler was
@@rontrej6973 Right. It's not a terrible storyline, that's not what I'm saying. It's just mostly different because Batman is known for being in control and way above everything and everyone else. Riddler used Batman and basically won except for the two deaths of Real and Wayne. He didn't even know where to find the map under the carpet until that one cop made a small remark about knowing what kind of tool was used and even then it was way too late. Batman actually lost in this movie. That's new.

Jim Carrey riddler is so cringey , Paul’s riddler was so much more real & grounded, ik kwing likes the original stuff but times are moving & i love 2022 The Batman movie, its the best Batman movie to date for me & I watch everything from cartoon movies to all live actions

I said it before I’ll say it again I really feel like Matt reeves wanted to do anarchy but he was worried that not enough people would care so he chose to make the riddler into this killer/anarchy type character
Even his outfit looks very similar to anarchy from Arkham origins
Riddler in the movie is heavily inspired by the Zodiac killer who also left clues for police to find him out.

I love The Batman but it had to grow on me. After first watching it, it felt like an alright movie with some awesome moments, but over time I grew into seeing it as a really good movie with some awesome moments. Hopefully the sequel will be more ambitious and almost "level up" our main media Batman. I love it, and I absolutely love the suit even tho not everyone does. However, I would prefer for them to go closer to a comic suit towards the future. Maybe even like something close to the Arkham suit would be tuffff.❤ thanks for the video big dawg
Battinson's is not a perfect suit, but I'd always put him above any of the Nolan Batsuits any day for sure...

The Batman film as its own thing is pretty good. At the same time it serves as nothing more than a corporate rejection of Ben Affleck’s Batman. It was just a way for the studio to essentially shut Affleck out at first.

The bat symbol and low resolution of the cowl too is the biggest reason I don't use it even though I like it that I didn't mind no shadows

Man you don’t understand the movie at all. The police are at odds with Batman. Batman always arrives after because the riddler made his attacks for most part unannounced and when he did it was too late.
Since we've gotten Battinson's suit we should get Keaton's The Flash Suit at some point and (or) The Returns Suit
The point of Riddler's race tracks in Arkham Knight. Was that he designed them for the previous Batmobile. He had no idea what the new Batmobile was capable of. That's why he keeps accusing you of cheating.

I literally just had a conversation with my friend on how origins isn’t canon and he just doesn’t get it, I literally told him that the lore was established in Arkham city and Asylum and how important Paul Dini’s writing is to the story
That doesn't mean it isn't canon. Not to mention knight having the evidence locker with items from origins. So it is canon

Electricutioners gloves are in the AK gcpd lock up and are mentioned to have been used by Batman before and Slade and Firefly also mention the the events of AO.
Got this like at the last of end of last month or so and I've done beat our consolium and now I'm on Arkham City which I've been trying to figure out how to change suits but can't figure out how to do it on the switch
The PlayStation version spits on the PC version. hey simpleton learn to play with the brightness turned down almost to nothing. it brings out a ton more detail in the suits and the environments. Btw the ps4 version is actually more detailed than the ps5 and PC version. That's something most people don't know
Yeah because ps4 pro has boost mode and supersampling which bring out more details than ps5

Well there’ve been rumblings of Clayface being the main contender. Idk if full on clayface would actually work tonally tho. I’m guessing it’ll be more of golden age clayface where he could only morph his face. And that’s lame. I’d much prefer and adaptation of Heart Of Ice. Especially where you could couple it with Bruce developing his Bruce Wayne persona. The Riddler prequel comic is canon btw.

Seeing it in the game is pretty cool… seeing it in the movie was pretty cool… then I tried starting a whole new game save with it I can’t do it… it doesn’t look as cool as I thought lol it’s not hitting like this suit is tight!.. Bale and Ben suits oh man! I played the whole game with them on! Specially Ben’s suit, that is perfect!…that’s my main!
Bale's suit makes him look super skinny. Plus its overly detailed and mouth slit is a tiny square box that hides the whole jaw.

I disagree. I don't see any problem with Batmsn using adrenaline. It would've been stupid if Venom was introduced this early.
Batman appeared during the crime scene investigations of the mayors death and riddler’s apartment. He showed up in the morgue with Gordon after the death of the police commissioner and showed up later in riddlers apartment after the initial investigation. I don’t get the complaint that he wasn’t the first one there. Sure he done that before but there is also plenty times where he showed up at a crime scene at the same time as the police or after the police. Sorry Kwing just think that complaint is weird
A lot of his complaints r weird tbh, like the complaint he made about how Batman in his early years should be at odds with the police but in the Batman he isn’t which just isn’t true. Throughout the entire movie he’s constantly pressed by the DA and GCPD police force with some of them even calling him a freak all with the exception of Gordon. There’s even a moment where he has to escape the GCPD police station 🤣🤣🤣.
Honestly I would've preferred the Batman Begins Batsuit as an early Christmas gift from Rocksteady. The Pattison batman suit isn't all that great
