  • This day we started at 1200hm at the small village Pignias in Switzerland and had to go up a very steep road which you are not allowed to drive. Till 1500hm was no snow, from this point we had to go by ski. On 2150hm in the valley we had to wait a little bit for the wind as the forecast was a mix of slightly north wind and thermal wind in the afternoon. From there we kited straight to Pass da Surcrunas and were thinking what to do. Kiting more in this valley or trying to go on a trip as the wind was quite good. We decided to go in the next valley and kited till Furcletta dil Capeder. Shortly we flew a little bit and explored an other part of the valley after we decided to move on into the next valley which wouldn't give us any option to reach the car anymore by ourself🙈
By Radons above Savognin was not much wind but after some fight we got on the Piz Mez and moved from there to Furcla Starlera and Fuorcla Curtegns without problems. Now we just had to pack the kites and ski down to Mulegns. In the end it was I bit more tricky than we thought because at some parts was already the snow missing or we had to cross big avalanches and canyons.
After 8h and 50km we were quite done and lucky that I have a kind dad which picked us up an gave us a taxi back to our cars 😁
A cool trip with lots of terrain where we set new tracks by snowkiting.

I have been in Savognin since I was 6 and I have always dreamed of all those peaks since I was a child and my parents bought me a map of mountains. Seeing what's behind those mountains (piz grish, piz september, piz curvier, etc) is like looking at the dark side of the moon: overcoming obstacles.
I thikn Snowkiting is the same thing: it is overcoming obstacles, flying above everything.
    Very good

So epic too, this time your camera resist maybe with extra batteries?? 😄, congrats for this adventure and thanks for sharing and the explanations. What kind of kite you use, 1 size or 2 sizes in to the bag? 🙌✊️🙌🤩

thanks. With gopro you have always problems :D if it is colder than -5 and your battery is not new you can forget to use it.
depending on the forecast and how much to hike you take the gear. This time just one kite in 11m :D I only had 7 and 11m hole winter

@@schnee17 yap.. it's true Felix, very few mad people feel passion for the Thing, a lot have not yet understood enough this revolution in winter mountaineering...., first second someone explained me I was shocked, the possibility to join kite on the sea also to the mountains is insane, and unique, I'm too old for it but strongly motivated to do my best and have some "safe" (;-))) fun in this discipline hahah don't stop making videos, as you know is good inner work to show best of you, not only in snowkite, also in every aspect of life, and improve even more
