A story revolving around the carefree Wei Wuxian becomes fast friends with the righteous Lan Wangji, and during their adventures, the pair find out that the head of the Wen clan is the evil mastermind behind a series of plots that would wreak havoc upon the lands.
Wei Wuxian reappears sixteen years later, and works together with good friend Lan Wangji to solve a series of murder mysteries, eventually finding and defeating the true culprit.

This drama was so beautiful. They did Lan Zhan justice in the drama he loves Wei Ying so much. The acting from everyone was phenomenal I mean the storyline was a little different from the novel but better interpreted than most drama based from novels.
hjp2511 p agreed... like honestly a LOT of novel or anime that was made into a drama usually sucks and like disappointing but this was a masterpiece.. I’m a bit sad that the romance was cut off a bit but it’s understandable.. like they want people who r not only fujoshis to like it... overall it’s a great story turned into a drama.. wished it had a season 2 🙏🙏🙏🙏🥰

Agreed! The drama was beautifully made especially considering it was taken from the novel. I didn’t expect it to be that good after reading the novel and manhwa but I really liked the drama! All I dislike is the ending of the drama (because China sucks) and I do wish that they would’ve actually stayed together at least instead of parting ways but it’s a nice open ending regardless and I can see what they were going after.

After watching this drama now I can understand why this was the only drama that was mostly mentioned in the comment section when I searched for the must watch Chinese drama. It’s truly really hard to move on once you complete this masterpiece 🥺

You can. It's just matter of accent and willingness to broaden your knowledge in pronounciation.
Surely, as a singer you know you can pronounce a word in many different ways.

Try using less of the tip of the tongue, much like how a russian pronounces their language.
Not sure how to explain without seeming so self-assured, but you can definitely learn it by just learning more than one set of alphabets of any langauge. Don't be afraid to sound silly (like having a lisp or incoherent warbles.) Just practice and you can get it down in no time.

I picked up this drama last week, binged it in 5 days because it was soo good. I didn't know this was an adaptation. The relationship between wwx & lwj is kinda vague in the beginning, but you can definitely sense it as the plot unfolds. BL or not, both actors played their parts so well that even I can't get enough of them. I want a season 2 as well!

I cant get this melancholic yet heartfelt song out of my head. Every single time I listen to it,my mind wanders into the realm of Untamed, reeling in my head scenes I can remember; images that of WWX and LWJ and the rest. The lyrics are so fitting to the story as much as the actors superbly match their respective characters. I havent read the orig novel but I can feel and believe that the casting production did an amazing job at finding the perfect actors for the story chars. The Untamed production, the pillars to creating the live action of the novel...I can just salute them for such impeccably executed job. That only leaves me with the wish for a season 2 however the ending was done justice and I cant have it any other way. I so am in love with this drama.Currently watching my 4th time!❤

I was addicted of the untamed, and I am not a novel person but i read whole novel after watching its all 50 episodes because, somewhere I felt incomplete and unsatisfied.
maybe i wanted to see them united for some episodes or show more affection to each other.
but now i know its all perfect, the actors the songs, i am still addicted but it doesn't effect my routine as i saw a video in which everyone said good byes to their characters.
i cried a lot because they all were so dedicated, even supporting actors are so fabulous, they were so into their characters, it all were like as turn by turn they were sending byes to their characters I was internally also letting my obsession go over my tears.
it's a very thoughtful cdrama, changed my views my likings a lot.
