Some of those chewable things that are white are bleached. I'm not sure about why, but I was warned about that a long time ago. It's best to get the ones that are still brown. Plus, it's hard to digest. Just be careful.

At least Key didn't take forever to eat it! My dog loves pigs' noses but we have two different kinds here - this colorless one and a brownish looking one. The colorless one was being ignored for almost two week until she decided to give it a try. She still prefers the brownish one. Those are harder to come by though.

I saw two nostrils plus the general look and shape it appears to be a dried pig or cow snout. These are very good treats for dogs. Very good for them. I give my beagle mix dried pig snouts, chicken/duck necks, heads, feet etc on a regular basis.
