In a "60 Minutes" interview that aired Sunday night, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders doubled down on comments he made in the 1980s where he praised late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. When asked about his current stance on Castro, the Democratic front-runner said he continues supporting aspects of his totalitarian regime.
"We're very opposed to the authoritarian nature of Cuba," Sanders told host Anderson Cooper before pivoting to defending Castro. "But it's unfair to say that everything is bad."
He then began parroting talking points often cited by the country's communist government. "When Fidel Castro came into office, you know what he did? He had a massive literacy program. Is that a bad thing even though Fidel Castro did it?"Bernie Sanders is literally repeating communist propaganda on #60Minutes. Cuba already had one of the highest literacy rates in LatAm before Castro and as a Cuban historian explains here, his "literacy program" was actually a Marxist indoctrination effort.
“I’m hoping that in the future, Senator Sanders will take time to speak to some of my constituents before he decides to sing the praises of a murderous tyrant like Fidel Castro,” Rep. Donna Shalala, Florida Democrat, said on Twitter in response.

Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, etc. People who worked hard to make a good living and provide for their families.

Bernie avoids Foreign Policy for a reason.
He doesn't want to have to tell people who supported Nixon, Reagan the Bushes, the Clintons and Obama that they were duped.
If he did, the MSM would run 24 hour coverage portraying him as 'UnAmerican.
Bernie doesn't want to school people on Foreign Policy, he wants to appoint a Secretary of State.
When they ask him about FP they are fishing for a soundbite, that they can use. Bernie has been right about everything, Panama, Iraq, Grenada, Afghanistan and Lybia,
He got Yugoslavia wrong but just about everyone did, I think Parenti and Chomsky were the only ones who got it right, at the time.
The CIA did a great job with that one, they had me.
Foreign Policy isn't Bernie's blind spot, his tepid support for Israel is his Achilles Heel, and that puts him in a tough spot.
That's why he dances around discussing FP.

Maybe technically, but if the public votes someone in with that mission, with the belief that it will be good for the country, then that's how our system is designed to work. We have a major lack of democracy in that so many people are appointed, and wealthy donors feel they can decide who gets elected. Someone like Bernie getting massive amounts of donations is a good sign I think. Bernie Sanders is literally repeating communist propaganda on #60Minutes. Cuba already had one of the highest literacy rates in LatAm before Castro and as a Cuban historian explains here, his "literacy program" was actually a Marxist indoctrination effort.
On the same day that Bernie Sanders welcomed an endorsement from anti-Vaxxer Marianne Williamson, he's got a 60 Minutes interview where he praises Castro's indoctrination... I mean "literacy program."

      Lmao, yeah ok👌🏼
He's a waffling sellout to Hillary and is now rebranding himself as a Socialist Democrat aka COMMUNIST.
Also, Bernie Sanders just admitted he has NO CLUE how much abolishing the private health care system, and implementing Medicare for All will cost.
Anderson Cooper just explained that everybody's taxes will go up, including the poor and middle class.
      Awesome! 👍🙌😆😅

Do you really think the government has your best interests at heart?
Honestly, I personally think that the government needs to take a opposite approach. Allow the markets to compete against each other and allow health insurance companies to sell over state lines instead of confining them. The best example of this is Lasik eye surgery. When if first came out about 30 years ago it cost in my area around $5000 per eye and the technology was in it's infancy and doctors didn't have much experience. Today the technology has greatly improved by leaps and bounds, doctors are very experienced and the cost is now $399 per eye due to competition and no government interference.
I'm also sorry for your situation. I'm also type 2 and I also agree that out of no where type 2 has become an epidemic problem and I also believe it's on purpose and there is a cure. You can change your Party preference online.
Beware California has an Independent Party which is a Rightwing Party where you cannot vote in the Democratic Primary.
If you’re NPP and voted on a provisional ballot or a regular Democratic ballot your vote wasn’t counted.
To stay NPP and have a chance of a vote for Bernie counting you HAVE TO ASK, I want a Democratic Crossover Ballot!

Oh good! Bernie Sanders just admitted he has NO CLUE how much abolishing the private health care system, and implementing Medicare for All will cost.
Anderson Cooper just explained that everybody's taxes will go up, including the poor and middle class.
Also, did you know In a "60 Minutes" interview that aired Sunday night, Vermont Sen.
On the same day that Bernie Sanders welcomed an endorsement from anti-Vaxxer Marianne Williamson, he's got a 60 Minutes interview where he praises Castro's indoctrination... I mean "literacy program."
I can't wait to see how this plays with swing voters come November.

@Live Free or Die Bernie Sanders is an actual centrist. look up what overton's window is. mainstream politics in the U.S. is far right, authoritarian and fascist. you just don't know the difference because you think far right is normal, so you're blind to it.
oh by the way, i find it ironic that you have such a username with the NRA display pic and are saying socialists are "extreme" when socialists and leftists support the right to bear arms. karl marx, huey newton and eugene debs all supported the right to bear arms.
