Well, when the DA took control of that region in a coalition previously, they were able to reverse all the damage caused by the then coalition who controlled that region, which was chaotic to say the least. And in every major area where they are in a coalition, they deliver services and improvement, and there's no way to wish that fact away. It's simple.....just do the math.
Good luck to them, They should have included EFF and ActionSA, as this parties played a big role in putting the DA in power in Other Big Metros. If you can't be United as Oppositions to save South Africa , how do you expect the people to be United ? You should lead by Example.
The DA will be exposed for their "principled stand" of not working with EFF 56 seats & they are celebrating...they will put legislation/bills on the floor & hope for the best. In kwadukuza, they are lying to their voters saying ActionSA wants EFF in coalition when in fact, the same set up like Joburg,Ekurhuleni & NMB would be enough, only difference in NMB they don't have ActionSA to wheel & deal to ensure service delivery instead of political point scoring...national politics, its different
