I’m grateful for all the sharpening videos, but there’s one thing I never see on any knife videos. Which companies send the absolute sharpest knives regardless of price. For me it’s Spyderco. I understand cheaper knives can vary but when getting knives in the $200 range and higher you would expect to get a great edge, yet Microtech, Benchmade, and my last Chris Reeves knife at $650 wasn’t sharp. Just a thought for a future video. Thanks J!
This lock on the nano Shark is the best one from Demko. All other versions are just hurting my finger. I cut out the front part of my Shark Cub and it is day and night. Now it is like the Civivi Fg super lock.
That tough built would be perfect for carpet layers. I've never used so many razor blades as I did when I used to help my buddy lay carpet on off days. The backing on carpet eats a razor blade up quick.
Maybe I'm wrong, but that Tacray looks almost exactly like my Hytron Hotknives Sharplyn, with the exception of blade shape. If so , I am SO buying it . I absolutely love that Hytron budget knife , way out of proportion to what it cost . I would even go so far as to say , it's my favorite budget knife of the year , and possibly of ever . Its got a super slicer with a thin 14C28N blade , a crossbarlock , actually decent looking carbon fiber /G10 laminate, and at 3.6" , it's under 3 oz. I'll take all of that I can get .
Tacray makes some awesome knives. I hope more of them start making it to the US, but we'll have to see, could go the opposite depending on import policy 😭
I was really into that tacray. Cheap and clean design but im really can't approve of any knife without a full liner. Even a liner on one side would've been miles better.
I really love your videos. Ever since I've been watching ur videos I want to start up my own sharpening business. I learned alot from u. I love ur videos keep them coming please and more knife sharpening videos please
The Nano shark is so disappointing to me, I wanted it so bad when I first saw it, then I realized it has thicker stock than the way bigger and already overly thick 20.5 (which created a whole industry of 20.5 reblades with better geometry allowing people like transparent knives to be seemingly doing them full time for quite some time). Then you add in the insane price for the smallest knife yet and…. Nope. I’ll just be getting another cub as my next Demko, since they’re the only ones with good edc geometry and the linerless titanium cub is literally 20 dollars more than this tiny thick g10 nano shark 😂😂 still need a cub in sharksfoot 😅
Remette is killing it plus they are always in comments and looking at where to improve. I hope they try and keep their pricing the same as the quality increases. I love WE but every new model is now $375.
There won't be one, they promised a budget shark cub and then released it for almost double what they said would charge. Even the discontinued k110 20.5's are still going for well over 100 anywhere you look
Thanks for another awesome collection. Hey Jerad, do you think this Tacray knife is made by the same OEM as the HIGHTRON knives? The build, design, crossbar style and thin blade is so similar that I couldn't help but think they come from the same factory. Is so, thats great thing ! the Hightron "Hot Knives" (now called the Sharplyn) folder was a fantastic surprise - I love that knife.
Hey, I was wondering are there any good OTF knives for around 70-100 dollars or would you stick with folding knives? If so which ones would you recommend?
It doesn’t matter what side the clip is on for those type of locks. (For lefty’s) it’s really not a big deal on most knives. They still come out rip up and u can get your thumb on the studs or finger on the hole no prob it’s only frame/liner locks push to the wrong direction but flipping the clip doesn’t fix that anyways. U need a lefty made lock not clip. So I just don’t get why people make a big deal abt clips.I’m pretty ambidextrous tho so maybe I’m off idk?
@dalelane1948 what do you mean enforced? TM nobody is sold out it's called a business. If you work for free id love to hire you. Nobody owns me nor tells me what to say

I love demko knifes so much but they alwyas alwyas use to thick of blade stock. Very disappointing. If they could make a good slicer with actually good geometry they would easily be one of my favorites. Their builds are amazing. Just let down by poor geometry and thick bladestock
The shark cubs (especially the clip point, which actually has a higher grind than the so called “slicer” cub) have pretty good geometry. I have no idea why he made an even smaller shark lock knife with even thicker stock than the already thick 20.5. I really wanted that nano shark till I found out about the blade stock. Yuk
@@andyhayward1261 Same! The nano looked amazing until I saw the blade stock. I love his quality and designs. I just hate how thick everything he makes it. Every one I've bought got resold unfortunately. If he would just make something that cut efficiency the builds are amazing!! If I knew how to do blade swaps demko knifes would be ideal for that!
@@mattdagger1480 have you tried one of the cubs? Especially the clip point. The cub clip point is not quite in the same league as something like a Bugout in terms of geometry but it gets damn close, very similar blade stock just doesn’t have quite as tall of a grind (it’s quite amusing that as far as I can tell, having both - the cub clip point is the real slicer blade rather than the blade which which he named the slicer 🤣 this is only for the cubs tho, the 20.5 blades are all slightly different). I’m just gonna stick with the cubs till releases something slicier. Also the cubs tend to have better value, better detent and ergonomics IMO too. The titanium/20cv cubs run at $250 compared to the smooth ti ad20.5s that if I recall correctly were between like 330 and 375 or something ridiculous which is a lot more for a very slightly larger knife with comparable materials. I really enjoy my smooth ultem clip point shark cub - very slicey, snappy and very lightweight while not being flimsy (at least on the smooth ultem, the milled out textured ultem is naturally less robust and that’s where I’ve heard the most complaints about the ultem cub) much preferable to a stock Bugout in every way other than a trivial increase in weight and the aforementioned somewhat less slicey blade

I want the titanium shark cub, love that little knife.
The shadow one looks so cool too
The nano shark is essentially a smaller production version of the AD22. Basically an AD22.5.
That slip joint is beautiful and personally don't mind a gap as long as its consistent but at 265 bucks that gap really is unacceptable.
TacRay, please, for the love of god.. get rid of that big ass billboarding on the pocket clip. We hate that. Passionately.
This lock on the nano Shark is the best one from Demko.

Remette did an awesome job except for the sharpening choil. Keep calling those out brother!

I have the tough bilt utility knife with the reloadable mags and its been great.
4:15 It would be sick if remette figured out how to make an automatic in that style
We'll take your suggestion under advisement! Thank you very much for your affirmation!
I was really into that tacray. Cheap and clean design but im really can't approve of any knife without a full liner. Even a liner on one side would've been miles better.
They need to make a nano shark with textured titanium scales!

What a time to be a knife guy! 🤘😎🤘
Thanks for the video. I really like the Remette but it’s illegal to carry in my state.
Thank you so much for liking REMETTE.
@@remetteknifeI’d love to have a Remette on my channel. I feel like you’re making great knives.
It’s illegal if a cop has a reason to see your knife, right?
Now I need to see a side by side comparison of the TACRAY Tarcus
And the vosteed parallel
Great video man 👍

It’s great. But if it was a thinner blade stock then maybe .id rather get the mini yojimbo from spyderco .
I don’t know why but I hate and love something about that Demko design. I can’t figure out what either is though.
Have the 20.5 and really want a nano shark but will have to hope for the cheaper version.

I'm not sure about that, I'm sure they would tell you if you asked
I’ve been looking at the tacray now that you said you like it I just ordered

The nano shark is awesome but for $230.00 I can't justify it for such a tiny knife.
7:52 so want this! But just more premium materials.
Thanks bro bro
Awesome

The shark chode feels extremely over priced.

Tacray needs to ditch that hideous, cheap looking CF over G10. Do either CF or G10. Great looking knife otherwise!
