I am not looking out to get anyone in trouble, I understand maybe someone was just told to do something by their higher up, but I am in disbelief this is Universal operations at HHN. I am simply sharing my experience and hope this never happens to any guest on their visit.
People pay to experience the entire event. So, I strongly believe all mazes should have an abundant of scare actors until the last soul crosses through them.
paying $150+ per person to be shoved through the maze and trailed like that to the point where your night was ruined enough to leave early is unacceptable, heads would have rolled if i had this experience. i would have 1000% persued either a refund or ammended ticket if not going after their fkn job had this happened to me.
Team member here. I want to share this perspective because this is something that unfortunately comes directly from our supervisors and leads to pushing as many guests thru the mazes to hit a specific quota. If the quota isn’t met by the end of the night, we are in big trouble. It puts us team members in a tough and awkward place as we ruin the experience for guests such as yourself. If we don’t do our job, we get in trouble for not being vocal and encouraging guests to keep moving. It’s a very frustrating situation for everyone included and nobody wins in either case. Hopefully, this will be resolved in the future with a better solution.
As a worker for HHN we get it, it is frustrating to tell you guys to keep moving but please understand we’re forced to tell you by our supervisors and if we don’t they coach us. I also understand why they tell us to hurry the lines and it is because we have to keep the wait time shorter and because we have to meet a certain count of people per minute. Now, the house host that followed you the whole way, that you should’ve 100% told a supervisor because none of us are allowed to do that. As of this week we’re also not allowed to say “keep moving” unless it is REALLY necessary because they want the vibes of the house to “not be ruined” but we do flash the lights of our wands if we see someone come to a full stop. They did notice it was getting annoying for many to get yelled at and I’m glad we don’t have to do that anymore but speaking in general, just please don’t tell us to shut the fuck up guys… we used to get that so often and it’s just frustrating cause like I said before we were told to do that. Just be respectful and if you feel like you had a bad experience you’re always welcome to tell our supervisors and they’ll most likely let you go through the maze again. Also please bring this kind of things up to the supervisors! They change the way we do things almost everyday to improve your guys experiences and they do take note of what guests say at least in the house I’m working at!

Honestly it’s a knee jerk reaction to say shut up, we don’t want to but it’s so hard when you’re trying to have fun bad you’re standing right there doing it. Most people know deep down it’s not your fault as one worker in the house, but when you’re spent so much money and that’s how the vibes are I totally get people saying something as a knee jerk reaction

I had a HORRIBLE experience opening night, I felt like I was the only one who felt this way. I appreciate this content so much, dude!
This happened to me and my friends in the Monstrous maze, we all had express and these two guys were right behind us telling us to keep moving and then pulled us aside when exited and accused us of walking slow and "clearing a room" and said if we do it again we will get kicked out, also he said we were not allowed to have our light up pumpkin bucket on, which we had no idea it was a rule, we were all completely confused and killed our vibe and this was early like around 9
Ugh thats so frustrating. You really don't go slow at all. You recently went through one of my mazes, by yourself even, and your pace was basically on par with a normal crowd flow even with you filming! T.T HHN gets so werid about it sometimes,- they even do it in normal conga lines! We cant keep moving if there is no where to go??? Pulse your lines better! Regradless, glad you had fun at Fright Fest and got your scares! Love the energy you bring and share with us ❤.
I honestly believe this is something that should be brought up.. for the ones who are only able to go once or that have the 1 time express pass per attraction could you imagine that be their only opportunity to experience it and that be the outcome? I don't complain to supervisors either. I remember I visited Disneyland's princess restaurant (I already forgot the name). I was waiting to meet Rapunzel after the CM told me to wait behind a dad and his kid. Just as the dad was finished with the interaction, the new CM (who just got there) put 2 entire families right in front of me (not seeing that I was already in another spot where the previous CM told me to wait). The 2 families were taking forever so I got a quick picture with Mulan (who had no line). I then got behind the 2nd family so I could finally meet Rapunzel. The CM told me that Rapunzel had to leave after that family. i told her I was already waiting in line when she put 2 families in front of me. The CM snapped at me, and told me that's what I get for leaving the line. I tried several times later to explain to the CM calmly what happened, but she was not hearing it. She thought I was being entitled or something but I was already waiting in that damn line when she added more people in front of me. I never met a Disney employee who openly started something with a guest. I couldn't bring myself to get a supervisor though
Exactly how i felt the first week of them opening not even long lines, and im in a line with scare actors scaring the people right in front or behind me but ignoring me. I saw no breaks in the lines like the previous years.
I am sorry you had to go through that. HHN oversales tickets, then expects ppl to walk fast through a maze. As a paying customer, I am taking my sweet time to walk through a maze. I want to be able to get my money's worth. And I am expecting a good jump scare. You're paying a lot of money for a one day ticket event. No one should be telling anybody to keep moving or walking behind anybody that close. Like they did to you this time around. I honestly believe that KSF is the best and is where your money should be. HHN is just way overhyped, and they dont know how to treat ppl. 😒 I am glad you posted this video. It's time that ppl speak up on this matter. They need to leave us alone. We had a team member aggressively yell at my nephew to keep moving while we were on the terror team trail. He was waiting for my husband and I. His tone really irritated me but I chose not to say anything. You’re absolutely correct. It kills the mood. Not only that, but we went through the mazes and could tell that there were scenes that were missing scare actors. For example, Texas Chainsaw, the cow was missing in the beginning and there were like 3 empty rooms. Next year, I think we’re going to Knotts
I had a horrible experience this year, it was my first time at hhn and off I understood it was going to be busy but my family described it as “getting ready to go into a slaughter house” as if we were cattle in those queues- we only got on one scare maze because it was unreasonably busy, the food was bad too as my mum found a dead bug in her drink and our food didn't come till 45 minutes later (it was just a burger and fries) we also noticed the lack of scare actors this year it was super underwhelming. I was super disappointed.
I'm not an influencer but did get rip on Sunday and they usually let rip go first and in a rip group but this time they shoved us in and kept telling us to keep moving.
HHN is overpriced and oversold to the point where it’s no fun unless you’re willing to dish out extra money for front-of-line. Plus you end up in a conga line watching the same monster do the same ”strobe light and loud noise” scare 2 or 3 times.
That lame scare tactic is overused in all HHN mazes… to the point it’s predictable. Way overpriced, way overcrowded. Just because it’s in Hollywood doesn’t mean they have the inside track on cutting edge maze effects. Don’t be fooled like all the other attendees who drank the cool aid.
I have experienced this before! It’s a big reason I don’t go anymore. I would much rather patron local haunts that are really well done and generally you get the haunt 1 group at a time. The conga line isn’t worth it when you miss half the scares from being pushed through like cattle.

Last year, my man Steve Harrington scared me in Stranger Things 4 (plus a creepy zombie-like lady & Brenner in the lab), but I’m pissed that Vecna, Chrissy & Eleven weren’t in the second to the last room 😭. I’m glad the fun you had in Six Flags Fright Fest, made up for time in HHN, no thanks to that fool who Jacked up your night.
the people we can blame are upper management, the guy behind was, unfortunately, doing what he was told. A little excessive? Maybe, but upper management has the power to change operations.
It was like this back in 2021 the first year they started again after the rona and they rushed us through houses most of the time the scare actors or props had already gone off when the people before us walked in the room. I could reach out in front of me and touch in the person in front us. I get needing to move things along so wait times are faster but people pay a lot of money to go and to not even get to experience the mazes is pretty shitty. I'm going to Scary Farm this year instead.
@@SocalTallGuy when they send out those guest surveys we need to mention stuff like this so the people who can make a change can do so, luckily I did not experience this when I visited but it was the first weekend it wasn't super crowded imo, it is not a good look for paying customers to be pushed through like cattle, oddly the behavior happened into the slaughterhouse themed maze lol

I did RIP this past Saturday & it was probably the worst RIP Iv done. If you’re paying over 400 dollars I think they should let RIP go in alone but they thru us in with the general and express with no gap at all .. very disappointed!
I do RIP every year and they sent a survey like always. A “this will only take 15 minutes” survey was a 2 hour rant for me this year. It all started when I got there an hour early and one of the tour guides told me to sit down and wait. The tone was nasty and later I heard on the radio a description of four younger guys ditching their guide without notice. The description sounded like the dudes in her group. Then the tram ride was basically turned into an Uber to get to the bottom. It was rushed and they didn’t tour the backlot at all. With no lights on in the lot obviously a “tour” was not happening. The whole experience felt cheap and rushed.
That's why my family and I stoped going because we would constantly get push and told keep moving and be shoved in a giant group and miss all the scares. I hope they fix that and make the experience better so I can go again.
honestly, even thought fright fest isn't the best, i feel like it might be a better experience, in terms of crowd control. Universal is doing way too much. no one should have to walk through and ENTER house with a team member yelling at them. absolutely ridiculous, AND unacceptable. I, personally would've definitely complained to someone.
HHN for me was a dud this year, I filmed as well, I don't stop but I'm not running through it , I paid good money and want to see everything, see all the set up , get the scares but it was so rushed , not alot of scare actors, I enjoyed Knott's so much better
Knotts Scary Farm is always a better experience!! I've never been rushed. They love to be interactive with the guests and the set designs can't be beat! I'm sorry you had a terrible experience. 😩🖤
Had the same experience with a team member in back of me for a couple houses! They weren't as vocal inside on my runs thankfully, but the ones right outside the entrance they would keep yelling the same spiel over and over again and we still weren't going anywhere! 😅 I still kept a good distance and kept moving at a slow pace to try to get some good scares! I would say that was the one con to HHN but overall was still a great time! There were definitely some unruly guests the night I went so I was thinking they were on high alert! Hope it's better for you on your upcoming visits!🙌
@@SocalTallGuydon’t be upset with the team member he was probably doing what he was told and didn’t like it as much as you did but like lady said in her comment these guys deal with a lot of guest that ruin the experience for everyone, it happened to me too when a team member kept telling us to keep moving but i had no problem with them since they are just being told what to do and is out of their control just listen and then do the maze again that’s what we did and since we knew to not slow down or stop we didn’t get told too.
You should’ve definitely said something to the staff that was rushing you… if you speedrun the whole house you miss everything and ruins the experience
Wow. Not everyone goes as often as you. For me who goes once a year, I'd be upset If I paid to get pushed through. So that behavior is unacceptable. Def. Not okay. They will continue if you don't say something. Squeaky wheel gets the oil!
I have to confess that I found myself physically helping the pokey guy in front of me “keep moving” because I was terrified and he was just standing around. We were in Orlando at Major Sweets and it was my first time ever at HHN. I felt terrible after, but I apologized the whole time I gently pushed him and begged, “Please go! I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Please go!” However, this was a much improved behavior compared to the last time I went to a haunted house 20 years ago and could only duck into a corner and pee my pants, lol! Survival skills finally kicked in!
Its one thing to actually be terrified and enjoy your time, but I just had a bad vibe in the texas house. I'll be visiting Universal Orlando for the first time on Wednesday!

Ughh that just ruins the whole experience. I get the “black out” people posted near the turns telling us move forward, but not a whole ass team member following you to tell you to keep moving. That sucks! At Knotts the scare actors usually do a good job moving people along and not a team member.
@@SocalTallGuy I agree. Honestly speaking, GA for HHN is possibly one of the worst experiences at any Haunt attraction I have ever done. I did GA back when they did Haunting of Hill House, but we were so miserable is lines and crowds that we went home early. I’m a theme park girly and I like to stay to get my moneys worth, but ever since then we decided to do RIP moving forward. I can’t imagine someone paying $80-$100 for GA to only stand in line maybe for hours to have someone yell at you the entire time going through the house. I love HHN only if I’m doing RIP, but if I’m doing GA I’m going to Knotts scary farm.
@@bandgeek984 Girl, we did RIP on sunday and we got crammed in like sardines with the conga line in front of us and being told to move on constantly. It was shocking we paid so much money and had such a hurried and uncomfortable experience through the mazes. We flew in from Houston just to spend one night there and one night at Knotts. Knotts was WAY better in comparison. I was so disappointed with HHN this year :(

This is ridiculous that they would be screaming to keep moving during RIP and to squeeze you guys in. I would make a very wordy email to guest experience and tell them your RIP group leader and time. Tell them about your experience and how it was disappointing for the price paid and the travel time to get there. I know they won’t give you anything i return but atleast they may take this feedback and work on improvements.
It's true the conga line is bad for mazes, They should totally section ppl off, yes it slows down the line but will make the experience better where you can actually get scared instead of seeing someone in front get jump scared a mile away. Those mazes that aren't at the big amusement parks are doing a better job honestly.

Bro I had the same issue when I went to HHN this past Friday, they were letting in so many people at once which made all of the mazes not enjoyable at all, and to make things worse everyone was yelling to keep on moving and to not stop, I had express unlimited and felt like maybe my second or the third time around would be different but nope it was all the same experience disappointed with HHN this year
I'd be upset if they had a team member at my back constantly telling me to keep moving. People pay big bucks to go there to enjoy the mazes and have fun. Unacceptable, in my opinion. Besides, HHN always over sells anyway. Glad that Fright Fest gave you a better vibe! 😃
my first year at HHN was 2022 i believe and it was like this. putting like 50 people to walk in the maze and i didn’t get a full experience of the maze at all.

Hey, this stuff keeps the local haunts relevant. It sucks you spent your money only to get disappointed, but at most local haunts they do everything they can to not have conga lines. They WANT to scare you. So, check the locals out as well. Shout out to Fear Farm I.E. in Chino/ Corona.
I think you were specifically targeted lol the scare actors I talk to are SICK of vloggers taking up the scare spots for filming and ruining the jump scare timing on their end. Specially slow walkers like yall. Just MOVE lol specially after the first week is over.
Ruining the jump scare timing? Lmao what? It's a 30 second trigger they press, they should be scaring every 30 seconds even in between with no trigger. Not trigger then turn their backs to the guest to reset.

So after this video uploaded I did recently visit again and operations have changed! No more yelling unless absolutely necessary BUT conga lines are unavoidable in mazes
I feel like the food they sell in the Lower Lot, well for Leatherface, isn't worth it. First time I tried the Brisket Sandwich, tasted like it was served cold on a cold bun. The brisket wasn't edible to eat.

This happened to the people infront of us team member jumped right in front of us at the beginning of ghostbusters. I think they did it because that group brought negative attention to themselves during the queue but who knows?
It’s so annoying. You spend a lot of money, you wait long lines to finally get in the maze and some like to walk slow just to take it all in and not rush because for some it’s a one and done a year because of expensive it is, just to hear “keep it moving!” Over and over.
I really do get annoyed when they say keep walking. We’re just trying to get some scares and get shots for our contents. It sucks you went through that experience.

The maze attendant specifically following and directing you seems hella passive aggressive and I could tell they’re not allowed to do that. You kept moving and you weren’t breaking the rules so I can understand why it’s disappointing. When I went on a Thursday, I didn’t experience any of that but I can tell the attendants were more under pressure than last year.
Sorry you had to experience that, definitely not cool. They are not allowed to follow you unless you act up. Walking slow or stopping for a bit is harmless.

I still liked the vibe and atmosphere but as a first timer the mazes weren’t really scary and were lacking Good scares my favorite maze was the insidious cause it was a long one and it had a lot of jump scares., I still would go again cause I liked he atmosphere and vibe but probably just wouldn’t go every year not cause I hated it, it’d just the scares were disappointing for a first timer there at horror nights, and plus I would wait when they change the mazes, I would like to maybe go every other year instead I want to Disney too and besides the classic rides the atmosphere felt lacking too. I think maybe it’d near the end of the year and these parks just want to get through the year to refresh for next year
@@SocalTallGuy I don’t blame the workers either I get it there’s just doing their jobs and have very little output on decisions, I feel like there’s so much people who come there that maybe they should do the Halloween haunts earlier those who come earlier can avoid the crowd that comes late
That's pretty sad that Frightfest gave you more joy than Universal. I don't know what Universal has been thinking. There's more to a haunt than just IPs and studio space....
i don't know if I've just tuned it out of my head but I've not ran into this really, I know they are there but for the most part I just don't pay attention and the few times I did hear them, there was someone at a full stop with their phone out waiting for the scare, I get it, its their job, the 15 bucks they make sure seems to be worth all this screaming ig.

I get where universal is coming from tho. After watching multiple vloggers from opening night and even at scary farm they always stop to try to record every scare in every room and just wait while the actor should be resetting for someone new. For some reason have a camera makes people feel entitled so they can get the best views while normal people just wana walk through n not hear a commentary. Not saying it’s you but it’s very apparent
not sure if its similar or not but i used to be a blackout at knotts scary farm. we'd follow ppl thru the maze if we felt theyd cause trouble or be rowdy. i never followed someone bc they walked too slow. as long as they r constantly moving (not a full stop) i never told them to hurry up. esp since if its a huge conga line am i supposed to expect u to phase thru the ppl in front of u?
I understand if I looked intoxicated and was going to act up in the maze to send someone behind me, but just because I like to walk at a slow decent pace is crazy.
I've been a blackout at Knott's we were never told to do that. Only follow if you've been told they did something in a previous room, or you saw them do something. You're supposed to get your supervisor and wait for them at the end of the maze. Not follow them because you "felt" they were trouble. That's assuming and stereotyping .
Would you prefer to wait for four hours or so while only a few go in and take 20 minutes each? Do you people not realize how long you eould wait? Bunch of whiners.

After finding out that upper management wants to push 2k people through the maze per hour is not giving anyone a better experience. My friends, sister & I are going to HHN next month, & I hope nobody in Universal will mess up our time there.
This happened to me and my friends in the Monstrous maze, we all had express and these two guys were right behind us telling us to keep moving and then pulled us aside when exited and accused us of walking slow and "clearing a room" and said if we do it again we will get kicked out, also he said we were not allowed to have our light up pumpkin bucket on, which we had no idea it was a rule, we were all completely confused and killed our vibe and this was early like around 9
this happened to me at texas too! i wasn’t filming or anything- just walkthrough at a normal pace with my friends!

Ugh thats so frustrating. You really don't go slow at all. You recently went through one of my mazes, by yourself even, and your pace was basically on par with a normal crowd flow even with you filming!
T.T HHN gets so werid about it sometimes,- they even do it in normal conga lines! We cant keep moving if there is no where to go??? Pulse your lines better!

I honestly believe this is something that should be brought up.. for the ones who are only able to go once or that have the 1 time express pass per attraction could you imagine that be their only opportunity to experience it and that be the outcome? That’s just not okay!

I don't complain to supervisors either. I remember I visited Disneyland's princess restaurant (I already forgot the name). I was waiting to meet Rapunzel after the CM told me to wait behind a dad and his kid. Just as the dad was finished with the interaction, the new CM (who just got there) put 2 entire families right in front of me (not seeing that I was already in another spot where the previous CM told me to wait). The 2 families were taking forever so I got a quick picture with Mulan (who had no line). I then got behind the 2nd family so I could finally meet Rapunzel. The CM told me that Rapunzel had to leave after that family. i told her I was already waiting in line when she put 2 families in front of me. The CM snapped at me, and told me that's what I get for leaving the line. I tried several times later to explain to the CM calmly what happened, but she was not hearing it. She thought I was being entitled or something but I was already waiting in that damn line when she added more people in front of me. I never met a Disney employee who openly started something with a guest. I couldn't bring myself to get a supervisor though
sorry you had to experience that especially at Disney, I'm sure with all the feedback universal will probably make some adjustments to operations.
This is what I’m noticing now… they’re letting alotnof people in now… and telling everyone to keep going… it gets so annoying

Exactly how i felt the first week of them opening not even long lines, and im in a line with scare actors scaring the people right in front or behind me but ignoring me. I saw no breaks in the lines like the previous years.

I am sorry you had to go through that. HHN oversales tickets, then expects ppl to walk fast through a maze. As a paying customer, I am taking my sweet time to walk through a maze. I want to be able to get my money's worth. And I am expecting a good jump scare. You're paying a lot of money for a one day ticket event. No one should be telling anybody to keep moving or walking behind anybody that close. Like they did to you this time around. I honestly believe that KSF is the best and is where your money should be. HHN is just way overhyped, and they dont know how to treat ppl. 😒 I am glad you posted this video. It's time that ppl speak up on this matter. They need to leave us alone. And let us walk inside a maze in peace.

We had a team member aggressively yell at my nephew to keep moving while we were on the terror team trail. He was waiting for my husband and I. His tone really irritated me but I chose not to say anything. You’re absolutely correct. It kills the mood. Not only that, but we went through the mazes and could tell that there were scenes that were missing scare actors. For example, Texas Chainsaw, the cow was missing in the beginning and there were like 3 empty rooms. Next year, I think we’re going to Knotts
I had a horrible experience this year, it was my first time at hhn and off I understood it was going to be busy but my family described it as “getting ready to go into a slaughter house” as if we were cattle in those queues- we only got on one scare maze because it was unreasonably busy, the food was bad too as my mum found a dead bug in her drink and our food didn't come till 45 minutes later (it was just a burger and fries) we also noticed the lack of scare actors this year it was super underwhelming. I was super disappointed.
I been hearing stories about certain creators getting targeted at Halloween events. But it just might be that one fluke. Thanks for the cool content

I'm not an influencer but did get rip on Sunday and they usually let rip go first and in a rip group but this time they shoved us in and kept telling us to keep moving.
HHN is overpriced and oversold to the point where it’s no fun unless you’re willing to dish out extra money for front-of-line. Plus you end up in a conga line watching the same monster do the same ”strobe light and loud noise” scare 2 or 3 times.
i was thinking the same thing. it’s the same thing over and over again. not worth the money in my opinion.

That lame scare tactic is overused in all HHN mazes… to the point it’s predictable. Way overpriced, way overcrowded. Just because it’s in Hollywood doesn’t mean they have the inside track on cutting edge maze effects. Don’t be fooled like all the other attendees who drank the cool aid.

I have experienced this before! It’s a big reason I don’t go anymore. I would much rather patron local haunts that are really well done and generally you get the haunt 1 group at a time. The conga line isn’t worth it when you miss half the scares from being pushed through like cattle.

the people we can blame are upper management, the guy behind was, unfortunately, doing what he was told. A little excessive? Maybe, but upper management has the power to change operations.
It was like this back in 2021 the first year they started again after the rona and they rushed us through houses most of the time the scare actors or props had already gone off when the people before us walked in the room. I could reach out in front of me and touch in the person in front us. I get needing to move things along so wait times are faster but people pay a lot of money to go and to not even get to experience the mazes is pretty shitty. I'm going to Scary Farm this year instead.
trust me man Scary Farm is always a good time, definitely recommend doing the "Boofett" experience as well.

@@SocalTallGuy when they send out those guest surveys we need to mention stuff like this so the people who can make a change can do so, luckily I did not experience this when I visited but it was the first weekend it wasn't super crowded imo, it is not a good look for paying customers to be pushed through like cattle, oddly the behavior happened into the slaughterhouse themed maze lol

I did RIP this past Saturday & it was probably the worst RIP Iv done. If you’re paying over 400 dollars I think they should let RIP go in alone but they thru us in with the general and express with no gap at all .. very disappointed!

I do RIP every year and they sent a survey like always. A “this will only take 15 minutes” survey was a 2 hour rant for me this year.
It all started when I got there an hour early and one of the tour guides told me to sit down and wait. The tone was nasty and later I heard on the radio a description of four younger guys ditching their guide without notice. The description sounded like the dudes in her group.
Then the tram ride was basically turned into an Uber to get to the bottom. It was rushed and they didn’t tour the backlot at all. With no lights on in the lot obviously a “tour” was not happening.
The whole experience felt cheap and rushed.

That's why my family and I stoped going because we would constantly get push and told keep moving and be shoved in a giant group and miss all the scares. I hope they fix that and make the experience better so I can go again.
This happened to me Sunday a lot of rushing people, missed a lot of the scares and there wasn't many scare actors in the mazes

honestly, even thought fright fest isn't the best, i feel like it might be a better experience, in terms of crowd control. Universal is doing way too much. no one should have to walk through and ENTER house with a team member yelling at them. absolutely ridiculous, AND unacceptable. I, personally would've definitely complained to someone.

HHN for me was a dud this year, I filmed as well, I don't stop but I'm not running through it , I paid good money and want to see everything, see all the set up , get the scares but it was so rushed , not alot of scare actors, I enjoyed Knott's so much better

Had the same experience with a team member in back of me for a couple houses! They weren't as vocal inside on my runs thankfully, but the ones right outside the entrance they would keep yelling the same spiel over and over again and we still weren't going anywhere! 😅 I still kept a good distance and kept moving at a slow pace to try to get some good scares! I would say that was the one con to HHN but overall was still a great time! There were definitely some unruly guests the night I went so I was thinking they were on high alert! Hope it's better for you on your upcoming visits!🙌

@@SocalTallGuydon’t be upset with the team member he was probably doing what he was told and didn’t like it as much as you did but like lady said in her comment these guys deal with a lot of guest that ruin the experience for everyone, it happened to me too when a team member kept telling us to keep moving but i had no problem with them since they are just being told what to do and is out of their control just listen and then do the maze again that’s what we did and since we knew to not slow down or stop we didn’t get told too.
You should’ve definitely said something to the staff that was rushing you… if you speedrun the whole house you miss everything and ruins the experience

I was there last week filming and all heard was “keep moving.” I missed all the scares cause we were herded through like cattle.
Conga lines at universal can get really bad sometimes, but the yelling has to stop.
Wow. Not everyone goes as often as you. For me who goes once a year, I'd be upset If I paid to get pushed through. So that behavior is unacceptable. Def. Not okay. They will continue if you don't say something. Squeaky wheel gets the oil!

I have to confess that I found myself physically helping the pokey guy in front of me “keep moving” because I was terrified and he was just standing around. We were in Orlando at Major Sweets and it was my first time ever at HHN. I felt terrible after, but I apologized the whole time I gently pushed him and begged, “Please go! I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Please go!” However, this was a much improved behavior compared to the last time I went to a haunted house 20 years ago and could only duck into a corner and pee my pants, lol! Survival skills finally kicked in!
Its one thing to actually be terrified and enjoy your time, but I just had a bad vibe in the texas house. I'll be visiting Universal Orlando for the first time on Wednesday!

Ughh that just ruins the whole experience. I get the “black out” people posted near the turns telling us move forward, but not a whole ass team member following you to tell you to keep moving. That sucks! At Knotts the scare actors usually do a good job moving people along and not a team member.

@@SocalTallGuy I agree. Honestly speaking, GA for HHN is possibly one of the worst experiences at any Haunt attraction I have ever done. I did GA back when they did Haunting of Hill House, but we were so miserable is lines and crowds that we went home early. I’m a theme park girly and I like to stay to get my moneys worth, but ever since then we decided to do RIP moving forward. I can’t imagine someone paying $80-$100 for GA to only stand in line maybe for hours to have someone yell at you the entire time going through the house. I love HHN only if I’m doing RIP, but if I’m doing GA I’m going to Knotts scary farm.

This is ridiculous that they would be screaming to keep moving during RIP and to squeeze you guys in. I would make a very wordy email to guest experience and tell them your RIP group leader and time. Tell them about your experience and how it was disappointing for the price paid and the travel time to get there. I know they won’t give you anything i return but atleast they may take this feedback and work on improvements.

It's true the conga line is bad for mazes, They should totally section ppl off, yes it slows down the line but will make the experience better where you can actually get scared instead of seeing someone in front get jump scared a mile away. Those mazes that aren't at the big amusement parks are doing a better job honestly.

my first year at HHN was 2022 i believe and it was like this. putting like 50 people to walk in the maze and i didn’t get a full experience of the maze at all.

Hey, this stuff keeps the local haunts relevant. It sucks you spent your money only to get disappointed, but at most local haunts they do everything they can to not have conga lines. They WANT to scare you. So, check the locals out as well. Shout out to Fear Farm I.E. in Chino/ Corona.

I feel like the food they sell in the Lower Lot, well for Leatherface, isn't worth it. First time I tried the Brisket Sandwich, tasted like it was served cold on a cold bun. The brisket wasn't edible to eat.
The though of this happening to me would be so upsetting under no circumstances should anyone be follow through a maze a ruined there experience I hope it doesn’t happen again Friend.

This happened to the people infront of us team member jumped right in front of us at the beginning of ghostbusters. I think they did it because that group brought negative attention to themselves during the queue but who knows?
I do know sometimes team members jump in mazes to experience it too, some of the operations have to change
It’s so annoying. You spend a lot of money, you wait long lines to finally get in the maze and some like to walk slow just to take it all in and not rush because for some it’s a one and done a year because of expensive it is, just to hear “keep it moving!” Over and over.
I really do get annoyed when they say keep walking. We’re just trying to get some scares and get shots for our contents. It sucks you went through that experience.

The maze attendant specifically following and directing you seems hella passive aggressive and I could tell they’re not allowed to do that. You kept moving and you weren’t breaking the rules so I can understand why it’s disappointing.
When I went on a Thursday, I didn’t experience any of that but I can tell the attendants were more under pressure than last year.
Yeah you know it might have been a fluke, but regardless I don't think anyone should have this kind of an experience.
Sorry you had to experience that, definitely not cool. They are not allowed to follow you unless you act up. Walking slow or stopping for a bit is harmless.

I still liked the vibe and atmosphere but as a first timer the mazes weren’t really scary and were lacking Good scares my favorite maze was the insidious cause it was a long one and it had a lot of jump scares., I still would go again cause I liked he atmosphere and vibe but probably just wouldn’t go every year not cause I hated it, it’d just the scares were disappointing for a first timer there at horror nights, and plus I would wait when they change the mazes, I would like to maybe go every other year instead I want to Disney too and besides the classic rides the atmosphere felt lacking too. I think maybe it’d near the end of the year and these parks just want to get through the year to refresh for next year
yeah dont get me wrong i love the HHN atmosphere, but the operations need to change fast.

Is their workers non cast waiting in the maze like Orlando to make sure nothing backs up. Never happened when I ever went there.
i don't know if I've just tuned it out of my head but I've not ran into this really, I know they are there but for the most part I just don't pay attention and the few times I did hear them, there was someone at a full stop with their phone out waiting for the scare, I get it, its their job, the 15 bucks they make sure seems to be worth all this screaming ig.
I did my best to tune them out too, but to a certain degree it ruined the experience

After watching multiple vloggers from opening night and even at scary farm they always stop to try to record every scare in every room and just wait while the actor should be resetting for someone new. For some reason have a camera makes people feel entitled so they can get the best views while normal people just wana walk through n not hear a commentary. Not saying it’s you but it’s very apparent

not sure if its similar or not but i used to be a blackout at knotts scary farm. we'd follow ppl thru the maze if we felt theyd cause trouble or be rowdy. i never followed someone bc they walked too slow. as long as they r constantly moving (not a full stop) i never told them to hurry up. esp since if its a huge conga line am i supposed to expect u to phase thru the ppl in front of u?
I understand if I looked intoxicated and was going to act up in the maze to send someone behind me, but just because I like to walk at a slow decent pace is crazy.
I've been a blackout at Knott's we were never told to do that. Only follow if you've been told they did something in a previous room, or you saw them do something. @@agustinm246 I’m sorry you feel that way, but I waited in the general line as well. After finding out that upper management wants to push 2k people through the maze per hour is not giving anyone a better experience. Regardless if I were filming or not, the team members being told to tell guest to keep moving in the maze when there’s already a conga line in front is not helping the experience either.
Bro not gonna lie idk if you went the day I did but I was told by the team member to hold it at the front of monstrous and I was waiting for her to say something why did the other team members yell MOVE IT I was like bro I’m not gonna crash out rn(be rude) im chill I was like I was told to wait and they just said keep moving constantly pace lol I had a big grin on my face.
hey six flags is not on par quality wise as universal but never told what to do in a maze in there or knotts
But after going to all three this year Knotts my favorite event this year hope six flags can have same team as knotts for events food ect that would be sick that’s next year if that 😂 the fact I’m already think about it is crazy 🤣
