He is pointing at the opposite direction of the bedroom because that's where I will be sleeping once the wife finds out how much I spent on this statue.
Oh wow! After seeing the review of this piece, it really impressed me allot more than I expected. I know that Cape must be a pain to pose but with the weight of the statue already heavy. I do not think they could have made a sculpted Cape. I know that space is the final frontier but can we save a little of it.The base as simple as it is, didn't have to be that tall. I know they built it up that way to give him that flying affect but it is over done. I am not a fan of the that Saturday night fever disco pose he has going on but the sculpt is fantastic. Thay definitely did an amazing job with all the cybernetic half metal half human look to him especially on the portraits. Not a fan of the concept of the piece yet still an incredibly made sculpt. Definitely a 4/5 and definitely an X tremely beautiful work of art.
Really sick piece. Prime 1 has it on sale for $737 right now, but the shipping is $475!? Was going to pull the trigger but may just wait for Sideshow's end of year sale.
I wasn't expecting such knowledge of Cyborg Superman. My compliments to you for taking a character with a complex history and making it simple and easy to understand.
If I didn't own three Prime 1 Statues, my thought would have been like, "This guy is harsh" but I have to agree. Overall, I think Prime 1 is the best license company out there (they have the title in paint/sculpt/presence), but all three of my Prime 1 Statues have major engineering flaws. I get they're more complex but its pretty bad. I also agree with the sculpted cape. I have the P1 Knightquest Batman. It'd have been far better if it was sculpted. The material looks odd, the colors are off, and that big piece of cloth completely distracts it from the statue. Even if the cape was PVC I'd have been far happier. You think Cyborg Superman's Cape was bad connecting, the Knightquest Batman was a complete nightmare. It wouldn't go on and several times I thought I was going to break it.
As for Cyborg Superman, ignoring the engineering flaws, the only thing I don't like is how the base is shaped like a dog food bowl. Other than that, I love this statue. The colors, its presence, and I love the metallics on it.
that Styrofoam does get everywhere, I hate it like Anakin hates sand.
I'm not a fan of the pose. But the statue itself is really nice.

Man this statue is a room killer for sure with all the real estate it requires. He does look cool though but that is the one thing I was thinking I would not want to have to pose that cape. Capes with the wires are so hard to manipulate and get right. Looks great though

It really makes collecting prime 1 so hard when the base is so massive. It’s a good looking statue but pose could had been better. The silver on the base should had been another color. Kind of wish they put the “S” on the back of its cape.

Suffice to say, she took my phone away from me so I couldn’t finish watching this video. But the statue looked pretty cool from what I saw. Love the detail. Too tall and awkward pose, however. Like he’s pointing at a gigantic-nope, not going to say it. Mom is right about you.
I’m not the biggest cyborg Superman guy but I love the detail all over this piece and some of the switch outs are amazing. I especially like the hand with the green lantern rings it makes him feel a bit more bad ass in my opinion. Great review Mr X!!
Like yourself I went back-and-forth with this statue many times. I finally ended up canceling it. The deciding factor for me was the fabric cape. I felt like that was going to bother me too much. Wrinkling and posing issues were inevitable. The paint and the sculpt is so cool! Congratulations!

Great review as always John. Lol the whole review I was looking at that styrofoam in the sculpted gap of the knee…glad you noticed it was there. I don’t think you mentioned the light up feature in both of the heads?
It is REALLY tricky to get those parts of the head off but refer to the instructions and be careful not to scratch it removing it. Yeah that cape was a BITCH to install!!

This is why I like your reviews,you actually focus on drawbacks whereas most other reviewers just say aweosome,look at the details like that.My favourite is that green lantern ring it appears in my favourite GL run by Geoff Johns

😃Wow epic statue! I would not want to be the person he is pointing at🤓 Its kind of funny that I find his pose sinister 👊 but it also reminds me of an athlete celebrating his success. The mix of the metal and organic is super cool and helps this Superman statue stand apart from the others🙌 I really love it when u see characters that are not often made brought to life👏👏👏👏

Kinda wish they didn’t give him the ninja turtle foot, but overall it’s a nice piece, the exclusive seems to be the way to go.

At first I love this one but seeing the review I'm not so sure I honestly remember this character the most in the Sega Genesis game death and Return of Superman that game was hard when I was a kid
Really looks amazing regardless of the issues.
Not super familiar with the character, but I know of him. I think if I knew more then I'd definitely need to own this because he looks great.

Cyborg Superman is not my favorite character, but mad respect to Prime 1, I think this Statue is a winner.

I wanted this statue and had ordered it at Sideshow but then I cancelled it since I couldn't get the exclusive arm.
That is ridiculously tall but looks great.

I was quiet happy with this piece overall. Putting the cape in did suck wish they did it another way. I did not get the exclusive because it was not exclusive or bust for me. I got #69 out of 600.....lucky me
I have kept my eyes on this one for a while, but I can still wait since he is not a must for me. Good looking, but they should just make him stand on a cliff or crystals on both feet for the height of the base and one foot on rock already. Really a waste of space for the base which is just ok.
I'm happy to see that this statue actually exists in the real world. Mine has been delayed forever and seeing them in collector's hands, I figured there was hope I'd finally get it, but... I just got another delay notice from Sideshow.

I'm not liking the pointing finger or posable cape. I can't get the image of him hoisting a football now. But, I can appreciate the detail in the statue.

Damn mr. X, that sucks about that broken piece but, I do agree the concept of him pointing just sucks. I wish they would have done something different I'm also not a big fan of the mixed-media cape.
They could at least put his left hand folded to his side . I also got the exclusive version but they pushed estimated delivery to August. I was confused whether or not to buy this due to not being a fan of the pose. Still I'm not a fan of the pose and just for that reason and due to how much he cost along with not having a change out arm for that side. 🤔 I think I might cancel. When your statues stand still and you look over at them you want the story of what they are portraying to come to life. And I can't see the story in it except him giving orders to someone to "Get Him!" not flying in to the battle himself which shows a weakness. Oh also I am not liking how shinny the cape looks

I really like this piece but wouldn't like the fabric cape. I enjoyed the Reign of the Supermen and Hank Henshaw storyline.

Unfortunate breakage, one of my biggest fears when ordering expensive pieces. In your experience is Prime1 good about replacing broken pieces and do they do it relatively quickly?
I didn’t even reach out to them but I’ve had good luck in the past.
Definitely a fail on the design and concept. Almost looks like some one forgot he was suppose to be flying and just changed the feet. Pose with pointing, nope. Love the open Mont portrait the most

The jaw piece doesn,t quite look right unless that,s just me+their,s Yellow S symbol on the back of his Red cape as portrayed in the DC Comics. Still looks good though

Know little about this character tbh except he got deranged by the cyborg implants? I think? Not the finest of P1 pieces but looks good when you get that cape proper.
