Not even lying when I say this song made me cry for like an hour after hearing it. It is an accurate expression of my biggest struggles over the past few years of my life, and it really makes me feel just how far I’ve come as a person. The song isn’t even about me. Vylet, you are a lyrical genius.
So, I think the Trixie song saga is isn't about Trixie, but rather related to Vylet's own experiences has a trans individual. Trixie simply the vector for releasing her anger and hurt in song. Maybe this is obvious, but I think it adds a whole new layer to the songs.
I remember binge listening to your music a few years ago when static vocals came out and I just realised you have 20k subs now. It's so great to see your videos go from a few hundred to thousands of views now. I'm so happy for you!
I've been listening to NASA's Golden Record, and learning about it for the past couple days. So listening to this at 1 AM, right after restlessly listening to "Dark was the Night" by Blind Willie Johnson and thinking about space's vast emptiness is really quite nice. It's helped me ground myself, and look at what's in front of me. "Taking a moment to rest" and "Clearing my mind of this mess", as you would say. "Whatever happens to it in space, whatever its unknown destiny is, I think it represents a high water mark of our civilization, when we dreamed the biggest dreams, really.
