I think the revenue (or lack thereof) from modern films is enough to prove his point that the film industry is facing existential troubles, much of that stemming from an antagonistic relationship with customers. The films industry is 1/10th th the size of the gaming industry. When modern politics is injected into gaming the games fail miserably. The "hollywood" production dragon age just lost over a billion dollars, he obviously is making a tacit observation... If the movie makers were making things people wanted to see they wouldnt be having existential problems. The same thing happens with games. All woke games fail.
