He got to see the either the Paul R. Tregurtha, James R. Barker, or the Mesabi Miner. I believe it was the Tregurtha which is awesome! I'm happy that kid got do that!
+VFA103JollyRogers The goal horn used to be the old fog horn located inside the south pier lighthouse (the one with the green light). The reason it was moved to the arena was because the noise was so loud whenever there was fog in the area, it was keeping the residents up at night and they complained. The horn was replaced by one that is quieter.
Brought tears to my eyes, what a wonderful memory and thanks to all who made it happen for him.

SuperDuckman24 The Paul R. Tregurtha or the Mesabi Miner are my best guesses
It was the Barker
TGSGAMER360 lucky kid!!! I wish I could see the Barker in action. He would have been even more lucky if he saw the Ryerson or Anderson.
I'm pretty sure it's the barker, look at the hatch crane
Yes I saw the tregirtha!
Good for him! Would have like to have been there to hear the horn!
That horn is loud I wonder how the drivers reacted to the horn while driving across the bridge

Can I blow the horn? I'm 41 and dont have leukemia, but can I blow the horn?
y'know? that's literally what I'd ask to do if I was in the same position.
that lift bridge's horn rocks man
That is really cool! Glad to see that he got his wish.
I'd love to blow that horn too!
What a great story. Good job people!
What model horn is this?
It's a Westinghouse train horn of some sorts. I believe there are 2 horn sets, one facing each direction.
Looked at another video, and it looks like a Hexatone H6. They are extremely rare. Only about 5 or 6 of them have been made, from what I understand.
This kid is now 11
They should get him back again for an encore.
now 16
Now 19
