Pistons fan who was able to witness the 04 ship. Big Nasty was simply a bucket in the post, damn near impossible to stop once you kicked him the rock close to the basket. Great video! Per usual!
This made my heart smile my great grandmother I lost about 9 years was a huge pistons fan. Corliss was one of her favorite players ever. This series is awesome for revisiting the past. ✊🏾
Loved seeing Williamson on the 04 pistons posting up Kobe and making him look human. That was my fav championship after the Jordan Era and I'm from Toronto.
I was a freshman at the U of Arkansas in 1993 and my friends and I were eating at Taco Bell in Fayetteville late one night. Corliss Williamson came up to our table and introduced himself to us (as if everyone in the entire state didn't know who he was) and asked us where we were from and we had a great conversation. I believe that Corliss was a sophomore at the time. Great dude.
Yeah,Prince severely out played Kobe the entire series, the first I've ever seen an opposing player do this.Prince had Kobe (Black Mamba ?? Naw,more like the Garden Snake-LOL ) in his back pocket and didn't let the Garden-Snake out,at all. I remember when Kobe and Shaq had that interview and they were both letting their hair,Shaq mentioned that 2004-finals against the Pistons,Kobe shook his head in bewilderment and didn't really say much.
I'll never forget when we cut down the nets in 1994 NCAA Champions and went back in 1995, "The Big Nasty" Corliss Williamson WAS A BEAST, he was like a College Charles Barkley, we had a squad, (Coach Nolan Richardson) Scottie Thurman shooting 3s, Corey Beck playing defense at Point Guard and the deepest bench in College Basketball, these were my Guys! Woo Pig! 🐗
in 2003-2004 Corliss was the one guy the Pistons could dump the ball into when the offence had gone stagnate, and he'd go to work and get some buckets. Lindsey Hunter was the defensive version. When the other team's offense was flowing, the Pistons would put in Hunter, and it was like throwing a wrench into the machine.
Young fella, I appreciate this. Little Rock Air Force Base was my first duty station in 93 so I got love for Arkansas squads. And if my wife can’t find me a Williamson jersey for Christmas after watching this, 😢. Woo , pig, soooooey
Please don't change the background music. The intro is fine. The sound actually helps me fall asleep, especially when it resets in the middle. I always watch your videos late at night 😂
Gratitude for sharing. I recall Darnell Robinson went to high school down the street from where I lived and I saw Dion Cross the year my team won the championship at Stanford's Basketball Camp. That Razorbacks team and Pistons team were solid.
I started watching college ball at age 12 in 1994 and that man was so dominant in the tournament. Back when men were playing in college. And the NBA for that matter
I saw a fight compilation where Ron artest fought a lot of players and guys he didn’t want to fight included corlis williamson, Matt harpring, Juwan Howard…. lol some tough guys there
Arkansas lost the first game of the 1994-95 season to a John Calipari's UMass squad featuring Lou Roe and Marcus Camby. Calipari is now the head coach of the Razorbacks.
Corlis rebounding was terrible for a guy his toughness and strength! Besides that he was such a good sixth man in the right situation. Bro had physicality and i like the post game he has.
I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. I thought "Big Nasty" referred to his ruggedness as a rebounder and, at least in college, his low post scoring. I didn't think that he was a hothead. But, I remember in early 1997-98, he got into a fight with Derrick Coleman. Are there any other Corliss Williamson fights in this video?
I was born in Seattle in 1973. Japanese-American, male, and heterosexual (and proud of it). My friend BJ is 5'6", 375 pounds. In 1993-94, I heard that BJ bet $50 on the Duke-Arkansas championship game. I HATE Duke, so I was rooting for Arkansas. He told me to keep it to myself. Unfortunately, BJ won $50 on the Arkansas-UCLA game one year later. BJ could be a pain, sometimes.
One of the best nicknames ever 😂
Big Nasty in Detroit was some of the Best seasons
How is this channel still so slept on
Some are done with the 90s 😅

Big nasty is crazy! Legend of my pistons!
Williamson Arkansas teams were legendary Nolan Richardson taught young Corliss toughness principles
That team was my favorite all time!

A MONSTER IN COLLEGE a leader and very productive nba career
Big Nasty was the most 6'7ish 6'5 guy since Barkley. He played way above his true height.
You know it… him & Barkley were legit 6’4 PF’s
We need one on Jerome JYD Williams
Also how bout Michael “The Animal” Smith.
Big Nasty Was the Man in college, ppl forgot.Hall of Fame player.Big Nasty helped my Detroit Pistons knock those Lakers in 2004.

@PacmanBrunnerthat's just, a joke kid
@@kerry-j4m, they mainly lost because of kobe and his ball hogging. Not willing to get Shaq the ball.
Prince put the clamps on prime Tracy McGrath too! He got lit up by prime wade, iverson and Michael redd though
We ain’t Forget G!!!! had to be there, I remember that whole Squad, especially Dwight… Thurman, etc them young men were an All-Time Team FR
He was a beast on NBA 2K
40 minutes of hell
My guy “Big Nasty!!” Loved him in college and with my Pistons!! Watched him beat Duke and the Lakers can’t ask for much more. Well done!!

@AMart870 Yes!! and when Nolan Richardson was ran out, they haven't won since.
I had a Corliss Williamson jersey and shorts combo when he was a Razorback

Damn that'll be a tough one to track down. Hopefully she can find it

NATURAL STATE LEGEND 👑💯🔥
I remember thinking when zion Williamson was in high school that Corliss was his daddy LMAO
I started watching college ball at age 12 in 1994 and that man was so dominant in the tournament. Back when men were playing in college. And the NBA for that matter
In 1994,college basketball was so much better then and more talented players were in those drafts also. Thus, more talent for the nba.
I saw a fight compilation where Ron artest fought a lot of players and guys he didn’t want to fight included corlis williamson, Matt harpring, Juwan Howard…. lol some tough guys there
Minnesota TimberWolves have improved since he joined the Coaching staff.
Arkansas lost the first game of the 1994-95 season to a John Calipari's UMass squad featuring Lou Roe and Marcus Camby. Calipari is now the head coach of the Razorbacks.
Dion Cross is my cousin
I played for ParkView as well
Great vid! Keep it up!
Williamson was a good 6th man type of player.
Lloyd “Sweet Pea” Daniels would be interesting at some point. Please if you would. Thanks!
Corlis rebounding was terrible for a guy his toughness and strength! Besides that he was such a good sixth man in the right situation. Bro had physicality and i like the post game he has.
I think you missed one thing out…
He retired healthy
Gary trent and charles outlaw
Back when Arkansas was ARKANSAS 💪
good one. He was The Man on Arkansas and thought he woulda been a huge star in the league

Big Nasty was a vital player on the Champion 2004 Pistons team.
Corliss was nasty in college, but he was not nasty against his NBA matchups.
Too small at PF, too slow for SF
Razor backs..I remember that
Big Nasty had flavor with a beefy stock
more NFL please.
I remember him
alwats ready to play
We need one on Penny Hardaway
🙏🏾
Will Avery
Ricky Moore
Vontego Cummings
Tobias Harris Pops
I was mixing this guy with Corsley Edwards, who never played in the NBA.
Curious why Lang was part of that mob at 9:22…
They all may have known each other since they were in junior high and have been playing against each other since
I think the nastiest player is for sure Adam Morrison. For other reasons..
The Razorbacks became everyone’s favorite team because of Williamson and Richardson 🫡

He really was a great player. Great mention!
