- This very beautiful Let L-410 Turbolet of the Czech Air Force is seen starting-up its engines and taking-off at Bern in Switzerland. The friendly pilots even waved to me. This Let L-410 2601 was built in 1991. It was absolutely fantastic to see this rare aircraft! A long awaited wish came true for me.
The LET-410 is a Czech-built turboprop. The aircraft operates where most aircraft cannot, in rugged mountains and jungles, often onto grass or gravel runways. It is even designed to operate under harsh conditions and extreme weather.

Yes, you are right. It is a multi-purpose aircraft, produced in many modifications like skydiving, air ambulance, cargo, photogrammetric scanning, maritime, surveillance and last but not least civil air service with a standard configuration for 19 passengers.

Merci beaucoup ! C'était vraiment génial de voir cet avion. C'était un rêve devenu réalité pour moi ! Le LET-410 est un turbopropulseur de fabrication tchèque. Il opère là où la plupart des avions ne peuvent pas, dans des montagnes et des jungles accidentées, souvent sur des pistes en herbe ou en gravier. Il est même conçu pour fonctionner dans des conditions difficiles et des conditions météorologiques extrêmes.

Suitable for remote areas in Malaysia e.g. SAR, logistics, mail deliveries, agriculture activities as L-410 is a STOL a/c.

Merci beaucoup ! J'étais très heureux de ce L-410. Il est principalement utilisé pour les vols de transport de personnalités. Oui, je suis curieux de voir quels avions de chasse la Suisse va acheter maintenant. Raffale serait certainement une bonne chose.

Matt my good friend, great catch on a rare plane, livery is sharp, & very odd/somewhat different sound in the props. God bless you & D from T & I., btw, i like the flat platform on both sides of the rear landing gear, great design & don't think i've ever seen that.

@@matthiashaenni Matt my good friend, yes it has to be rare because it's the first one i've ever seen, & majoring in Aviation starting 39 years ago, i've seen a lot of different planes, but this is my first on this one. Many planes are similar with controls, avionics, etc..., but i wonder how many pilots are certified/qualified to fly this plane, it is so rare there can't be many. God bless you & D from T & I, have a good evening, i think it is about 7: 30 p.m. there already. p.s. , glad you ran out to capture this video, it has to be a 1st for many subs/viewers, they may have seen pictures, but save this one, very rare.

It is equipped with Walter M 601E turboprops with five blade propellers.

What is your favorite turboprop engine? I prefer the Garrett TPE 331 to the pt6
GOOF Air plane i fly many time in the african bush but original engine only 6000 hours so they put often other engine cfm or other engine on it

Nah, it's completely safe aircraft.. only reason is the enviroment the aircraft is being used in and lousy user maintanance. Siberia, the most remote islands in the world and so on...
Never board a 410. Too many accidents worldwide.
The fact is that it's not because of wrong design, etc. But the reasons are that the aircraft is very widespread, it's in service in more than 50 countries. So there is more opportunities to fail. Moreover it's very often operated in areas with difficult conditions, where engine or crew failure could come more likely than in case of common commercial flight.
