I’ve been drumming for decades and I dig this guys technique and ‘fills’. And who ever set up the PA …especially where the kit comes in. That bottom end is THUNDERING!!!!
Damn..I dont think anybody in the crowd EVEN knows who "Head East" is...? Man this was one tune that gained a lot of airplay during my high school days..Great job guys..love it!
Very first pro band I ever seen was HeadEast. They opened for KISS. Spring of 1977 if I remember correctly. This is and will always be a go to “party song”. Great job gentlemen
Great job! I’ve always wanted to cover this one. To this day I’ve been able to. It’s a killer song, just not as well known as a lot of classic rock. You guys did awesome with it.
Wow! What a closer. Can’t imagine what the rest of the set/sets sounded like. You guys are AWESOME! You really forget about this amazing tune, until you hear it, again.
Full show will touch on a bit of everything from Boston to Charlie Daniels. to Paul Simon, Huey Lewis, Gin Blossoms, Styx, Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Journey, etc....
Nope. Head East has the lock on this sound. These guys did a good job on a cover that not many people do. The keys are the weak spot. The lead synth needed to be a spot on twin Minimoog sound, which he did not produce. Close, but no cigar. The Hammond B3 sound was too dark and not breathy enough to actually sound like a vintage B3. Props to the band. Good job, but listen to the original closer and work on those keyboard patches.
This is just my personal opinion but this one is not musical. I don't feel excitement and articulation. They are just playing the notes. That is what I feel by listening this performance.
Funny thing is the fact that when the remaining members and those who are claiming to be head East go out and play. They play like they're sleeping on their own. Couch! So I don't know what your complaint is?
Honestly, the first minute sucked-lead vocal was singing like he was afraid of the high notes. By the end, everyone was tearing it up. Head East covers are not for the meek...
Smoking fella’s!!!! Absolutely awesome performance!!!!!!

I simply cannot express how awesome this is. A live cover perfectly done, of the most 70's song ever made.

You’re little brother kicks ass on the drums!!! Great job guys!

They were great saw them live twice 😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
The crowd is really sad, great band and sound and performance but the crowd sucks! I couldn’t do a gig like this honestly!
A friend of mine had Head East’s Flat as a Pancake LP and played this song incessantly. Never met anyone since who knew them. Until this.

C'mon better than the original?Not even close!🤨😂🤣
I would have been up dancing right away; and I don't dance!
Nice! Marty Sender You Tube
Kickin' band! That PA deployment on the other hand...not much phase coherence or time alignment there.
This is just my personal opinion but this one is not musical. I don't feel excitement and articulation.

The least they could do was to dress like they wanted to be there and not like they were preparing to mow their front yards.
Funny thing is the fact that when the remaining members and those who are claiming to be head East go out and play. They play like they're sleeping on their own. Couch! So I don't know what your complaint is?
@@jamesmcdonald5868 .....and I don't follow what your reply is about, either.
how about maybe some long hair, tights and tank tops? i think they’d still sound the same.
Rock bands don't ware tuxedos anymore. That went out in the '50s.
I agree, they got the music, but stage presence is off kilter
Drummer ain’t even got a cowbell. He ain’t no rocker.
Honestly, the first minute sucked-lead vocal was singing like he was afraid of the high notes. By the end, everyone was tearing it up. Head East covers are not for the meek...
Vocals are weak, however dope rendition
