Jason, thank you for attending and covering the event. My thanks have to go out to the extended team that made the event possible. Without them the show is just a bunch of ideas. Once we have all mentally and physically recovered we will start to consider a 2026 event.
It was a great show - everyone I spoke to was full of praise - and my pleasure to capture it for others to enjoy. You all deserve a huge pat on the back for your efforts, and a rest 🙏 I look forward to the next one, and won’t be leaving it til last minute as I did this time 🤗
Hi Jason, It was a definitely a great weekend. As a trader, I was impressed by the quality and amount of trees, pots, sculptures and bonsai related products. The demonstrations were fantastic and I loved the new layout of the stunning, exhibition trees. I met so many lovely people over the three days from setting up on the Friday. I would definitely recommend to all people interested in bonsai as it was a tremendous event. Thank you to Mark and his amazing team.
Hi Gail, I only learned after the event that you were there, and I didn’t spot your stand. I would definitely have made a point of coming to say hello. 🙏
@@TheBonsaiGarden That’s no problem Jason. I know you were busy. I saw you from a distance but couldn’t leave my stand to say hello. Hopefully I’ll see you at the Bonsai Fest in March. I’m selling there too😀
My favorite out of the whole bunch is the split trunk at timestamp 20:12. It looks more natural then most of the others. Thanks for sharing. These trees provide the rest of us with examples of what can be done- over time.
Beautifully documented! I sort of like the idea of a 360 table - great way for hobbyists to learn some 'tricks of the trade' for branch placement and shari work. I love your haul. The figurines are so life-like - the only time rabbits are welcome in the Bonsai Garden!!
Great video. I'm in the US. Loved the 360 views and the maple shohin. Great purchases. I may be your only viewer who could pass on big conifers with endless deadwood. To each his or her own. Give me maples any day.
I was speaking with members of a local bonsai club yesterday who felt the same about all that deadwood. While they could see the artistry involved, those trees were not for them. 👍
I think the display choice was perfect for the space. I will have to watch it again as it's late here in Australia and the music had me nodding off😂 exceptionally captured👍
Jason many thanks for this video - a place of excellence and beauty. I live in the Southern half of this tiny blue orb and would not have seen this show but for your effort.
Hi Jason, Hope you're keeping well 👍 I just saw Caz on the right side of the stage, She was brilliant when she came to South Yorkshire Bonsai, Amazing knowledge with Juniper and Pines, your trees still look superb! 👍😎
Jason, thank you for all these great show pieces displayed on your video. A lot to inspire, and there's a lot to make one, like me, be lost in all this creativity. Keep up your good work and the attention to details in the what you present 👍
I think that the three dimensional display will help a novice like me see how the back branch stylyng influences thr intended front view of any given tree. in my humble opinion, it is to be applauded.
Many thanks for this most enjoyable video. You clearly put a lot of patient work and creativity into filming and editing it. You deserve enormous credit for your efforts! Thank you again.
Great video. I haven't been to a show but really like the idea of seeing the trees 360°. I have a shoka bonsai Chinese elm among the 3 trees I have. It's really healthy and has withstood my novice care. Thanks for sharing your day.
Thanks Patricia. That was a tiny Japanese white pine, and a tiny twisty larch tree. There were some spectacular pine trees for sale with twisty trunks thicker than my arm - I’m definitely giving myself a bigger budget next time for something truly special.
Had a great day and saw you there, but didn't want to mither you as you were studying pots. I was beaten to the punch in a purchase by Peter Chan, so my Acer bonsai quest continues. Enjoyed being able to view the trees in full 360, gave good perspective to the trees. Shall be sure to return in 2 years 😀
Spent the whole day there Sunday and despite the shock discovery that it was an additional £8 to park (did I mss that somewhere?) thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong this didn't distract from the event at all and haveing saved on entry by booking in advance I still had an amazing day. The range of trees for sale was amazing like a kid in a sweet shop I had to control my urge to buy to many 🤣lol Settled for a hornbeam and a dwarf ivy but gutted I missed out on a lovely oak by pondering for to long, snooze you loose I guess 🙁 The show trees were inspirational and being able to veiw 360° a privilege. Great to see how well rounded they all were, something you always ponder when can only see from 1 side. The only downside was it made them harder to photograph BUT being able to get 360° video of favourites made up for that so long may it continue 😁 Just shame got to wait 2 years for the next one, will have to see what else is coming up.
Thanks for your comment Jason. I agree with all your points (including the stealth £8 parking 😂). I didn’t let that spoil the event - it was convenient to be able to load things into the car parked just by the entrance. Pros and cons with the tree display arrangement - I didn’t mind it and got some creative shots spinning around the trees. 😁 Next one for me will be Newark, on my birthday. Be using that as an excuse to increase the budget 🎂🌳
@TheBonsaiGarden Yes I got some good 360° videos round a few of the trees which was a big plus for this type of display. Car park was definitely convenient for loading the purchases, would have just been nice to know in advance. When / where is the Newark one? That's even closer to me than Telford so might be tempted. Next trip on my calendar is Greenwood's open weekend at beginning of November ant that's only 16 miles away 😀
I like the openness of the display concept. Perhaps a 10 cm gap between sets of two tables would have provided better differentiation between the two displays and solved the issue of asymmetric table cloth placement.

Fantastic music 16:32
It’s called Paths of the Samurai, from the Epidemic Sound library.
Love the owl and hare.
Thanks. I believe they came from Mendip Bonsai Studio (www.mendipbonsai.co.uk)

This is the most diverse showing of trees I have seen lately. Thanks for taking us along.
My pleasure Mary. I really enjoyed this great show.

Thanks Sue. It was a great show, and the display different from anything I had seen before. All credit to the organisers.
很棒的360度展式盆景,這樣就可多觀察各種樹形和配枝的方式,覺得有創新的感覺,感謝您。
My pleasure
360° views must have been great!😊
They were 👍
I very much appreciated the new show style. You fetched some beauty's there. Thanks for sharing the experience.
Thanks Roland 🙏
Thanks so much Jason for such a stunning video...the quality of the trees is astounding. I will make a note in my calendar for the 2026 show.
You definitely should. I hadn’t originally planned to go myself, but was so glad I did. 👍
Bonsai alive and well in the uk what a show cheers 😮
Certainly was. Thanks 🙏
Excellent coverage Jason, I liked the new format and your goodies. I went to the RBG show this weekend which Nigel and Blue Jay will post soon.
Thanks Jon. I look forward to seeing that 👍😁

Glad you enjoyed it. You’ll have to make sure you make the next one. 👍
Hi Jason, Hope you're keeping well 👍
I just saw Caz on the right side of the stage, She was brilliant when she came to South Yorkshire Bonsai, Amazing knowledge with Juniper and Pines, your trees still look superb! 👍😎
Thank you. I missed the Caz demo at South Yorkshire Bonsai since I was on a cruise holiday, but I saw Scott’s recording of the session. 👍
It was great, thank you❤
Thank you Bijan 👍
Spent a few hours there today - fabulous show and inspiring to see such material in person for a newbie like myself.
Sure was. Some great trees on show and lots of great material on sale too.
I like the way the trees are displayed
It was a different idea but I quite liked it.
I really liked the new way of displaying the trees. I also love the first pot you showed and the owl piece.
Definitely a different way of doing things. Thanks Lee 👍
Amazing video with right ambiance well done
Glad you enjoyed it
👍👌🙂

Great video and thanks for share to those that couldn’t make it😢
Thanks for watching!

Great stuff Jason, it was good catching up with you m8. What a great weekend and what a show it was, great demos and amazing trees 👍😉
Ha ha was great seeing both yourself and Scott (although briefly). It was such a superb event. Glad I went.

What a wonderful video Jason to show off what looked like a great event. Just a shame budgets kept me at home :)
Thanks Xavier. We will have to arrange something for next time, in 2026. Your people demand your presence 😁👍
@@TheBonsaiGarden You got to see both of them :)
🤗
It was a great event. The ginko, redwood and oak were very impressive and I wish they were part of my collection.
So many great trees 👍
What a lot of cool stuff to take in. And you scored some nice items. Was that a Shohin White Pine?
Thanks Patricia.

You're the best Dan ;o)

I guess everyone will have a different view. I didn’t mind it, though it was more difficult to photograph individual trees.
Great video . Who did you get the little figures off , there ace.
Not sure which trader, somewhere in the centre of the hall, but they had loads on display. There are some shots in the traders section of the video.
Hi Jason I saw you there but didn’t introduce myself 😢 you were standing behind me filming the bonsai artists on the stage great video as always
Be sure to say hi next time 👍😁
